McCarthy Blames
Dems For Cantor Loss

Breitbart TV, by Ian Hanchett

Original Article

House Majority Leader-elect Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) blamed crossover votes by Democrats for Eric Cantor’s (R-VA) surprise primary defeat at the hands of David Brat in an interview on Sean Hannity’s radio show on Monday. He stated that was surprised by Cantor’s defeat, and did say that “all politics are local” when asked why he thought Cantor lost. McCarthy added that he had “read five different analyses” and one theory he came across was “Democrats voted 30 percent in [that race].” He added that “I don’t even think it’s one thing that does it, I think it’s a number of things,” but

I tend to agree. Perhaps not entirely, but there seems to be little doubt that there was a significant crossover vote.

It´s Cantor´s far left amnesty position that cost him the deat. He was ahead until the dumping of Latino children (amny of the deseased & gang members) into this country became public.

All the better. Perhaps the "elite" will now realize how screwed up our voting system is now that it has affected one of their own.

Nonetheless, I don´t buy it. Cantor lost because he arrogantly went against his voters thinking he knew better. If Dems voted for Brat they didn´t do it by 10 percentage points.

These guys better figure out America is really, really teed off.

the blame for Cantor´s loss must primarily be assigned to one person: Eric Cantor himself.
Yes, to the dismay of the "in-crowd", the system actually worked insofar as it permitted the serfs to register disagreement with the Elites.
We used to call it "being an American". And there is more of it to come.

McCarthy and others miss what those who live in VA-7 saw: one of the worst campaigns in a long time. Cantor´s campaign sent repeated flyers attacking Dave Brat as a "liberal college professor," guilty of collaborating with Tim Kaine during his governorship. The claims were truly incredible (who ever heard of a liberal college professor running on the GOP ticket?)

It was relentless and sickening, and IMO played a significant role in the outcome. If only the GOP showed signs of learning from how bad that campaign truly was.

Yet, his buddies are sending out robocalls to solicit votes of black MS Democrats to vote for Thad Cochran.

So much for his "conservative" creds.

And no, Rep. McCarthy: all politics being local may have been true in the days of Tip O´Neill, but the times they have changed. With the Republic under existential attack, politics are national now.

The Center for American Progress is calling for Congress to ditch the federal gas tax in lieu of a system where drivers pay fees for road construction based on how many miles they travel. The proposed mileage-based system has been controversial in previous transportation funding debates because critics question how government would monitor the traveling habits of drivers without infringing upon their privacy. But the Center for American Progress said Friday that taxing drivers based on how far they drive is a much more sustainable system than the current 18.4 cents per gallon federal gas tax. I met Mirabel in 2011, four years after she had left her home in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, a city reputed to be the murder capital of the world. She, her sisters and mother were terrorized by an alcoholic father who abused them and stole the earnings from her mother’s struggling grocery store to spend on liquor and women. The tipping point came when Mirabel, then 16, confronted her father after a drunken rampage, and he nearly killed her with a machete. However, when pressed by Sen. Sen. Lamar Alexander´s (R-Tenn.) primary challenger, Tennessee state Rep. Joe Carr, picked up another national Tea Party endorsement Thursday, the same day he released a new statewide radio ad. The issue at the center of both the Tea Party Patriots’ endorsement and Carr’s new ad is Alexander’s alleged support for “amnesty” for illegal immigrants, a charge Carr has made central to his campaign against the senator. The Tea Party Patriots endorsement praised Carr as a "genuine leader" in the fight against illegal immigration, criticizing Alexander for being one of the 14 Republicans to vote for the reform bill that passed the Senate

WASHINGTON – Sen.
