Supreme Court limits
greenhouse gas regulations

USA Today, by Richard Wolf

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 6/23/2014 10:38:25 AM

WASHINGTON -- A divided Supreme Court blocked the Obama administration Monday from requiring permits for some industries that spew greenhouse gases, but the ruling won´t prohibit other means of regulating the pollutant that causes global warming. The court´s conservative wing ruled that the Environmental Protection Agency exceeded its authority by changing the emissions threshold for greenhouse gases in the Clean Air Act. That action can only be taken by Congress, the justices said. The 5-4 ruling, which partially reverses a 2012 federal appeals court decision, represents a moral victory for industry and state government

Comments:
This still didn´t go far enough and won´t change the tyrannical behavior of Obama and his regime.

The bias in the USA article is evident in the first sentence, when they use the word "spew" instead of "emit" greenhouse gases, meaning carbon dioxide. I´ll bet you didn´t know that when you were exhaling, you were spewing greenhouse gases.

Garbage. The CO2 content of the atmosphere is miniscule compared with H2O vapor content. H2O vapor is much more responsible for greenhouse effect than is CO2. The "fact" of global warming is widely disputed anyway, and a cooling trend is now in its 30th year. The Supreme Court did the right thing.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson penned an op-ed for Spanish-language news outlets over the weekend vowing there will be no “permisos” or “free passes” for illegal immigrant children who are jumping the border. “The long journey is not only dangerous; there are no ‘permisos,’ ‘permits, or free passes at the end,” Mr. Johnson wrote in the English translation of the op-ed. After several weeks of trying to manage the surge of children at the border, the Obama administration has recently stepped up its efforts to try to cut the flow off at its root in the three Central American countries —

Many of the thousands of illegal immigrant children and teens crossing the United States border are carrying deadly contagious diseases that could easily create a major health crisis in this country, doctors say. In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Dr. Jane Orient, an internal medicine specialist and the Executive Director of the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), said that by admitting these huge groups of children who come from countries where medical screenings are minimal and hygiene is poor, the United States is at risk for epidemics of serious diseases and viruses that the nation has not seen

The mayor of Springfield, Massachusetts has asked the federal government for a moratorium on sending refugees to the city, claiming that newly arrived families create a strain on city resources and the school system and do not receive sufficient aid from resettlement agencies. Domenic Sarno, a Democrat, made his request in a letter sent Thursday to Rep. Richard E. Neal, D-Mass. Copies were also sent to Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey, as well as Massachusetts Gov. Possible presidential candidate Hillary Clinton´s health issues have been kept secret for fears they will ruin her eligibility to become president, it has been claimed. The remarkable claim comes in a new book written by journalist Ed Klein which details the rocky relationship between the Obama and the Clinton families. The excerpt on her health includes a claim from a cardiac specialist familiar with Clinton´s condition as saying her clotting in the brain could have developed into a stroke. In further excerpts of the book reported by Drudge Report, the author claims Hillary Clinton´s health problems, which have included the blood clot

She also made 35 visits to the White House. The funny thing about emails is that they are never orphans. When you send one, there´s always a recipient who has his or her own copy. The "lost" Lois Lerner emails had recipients. How about subpoenas to all of them during the Tea Party targeting period? That should help find what we need to know — or maybe

The flood of illegal aliens, including thousands under the age of 18, at the border has gotten major media coverage in the past couple of weeks. The Obama administration acts as if it was caught off-guard by the massive influx of Central Americans who have traveled across Mexico to get into the United States. But it wasn’t surprised at all. A recently discovered government request for “escort services for unaccompanied alien children” dating back to January is raising questions about whether the government was planning for a surge of illegal immigrants this year as amnesty talks heated up in the United States.

All that mattered was that he was a man. To say that this development didn’t sit well with the progressive-minded women of this country is an understatement. The South Dakota Republican Party state convention passed a resolution calling for the impeachment of President Barack Obama Saturday. The resolution says Obama has "violated his oath of office in numerous ways." It specifically cites the release of five Taliban combatants in a trade for captive U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl, Obama´s statement that people could keep insurance companies, and recent EPA regulations on power plants. "Therefore, be it resolved that the South Dakota Republican Party calls on our U.S. Representatives to initiate impeachment proceedings against the president of the United States," the resolution reads. By 10 p.m. on Sept. 11, 2012, when Hillary Clinton received a call from President Obama, she was one of the most thoroughly briefed officials in Washington on the unfolding disaster in Benghazi, Libya. (Snip) She had no doubt that a terrorist attack had been launched against America on the anniversary of 9/11. However, when Hillary picked up the phone and heard Obama’s voice, she learned the president had other ideas in mind. With less than two months before Election Day, he was still boasting that he had al?Qaeda on the run. If the truth about Benghazi became known, it would blow that argument out of the water.

I still think President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, even though for 14 years he allowed his literary agent to circulate a bio blurb stating he was born in Kenya, and even though for many years he attended a church where his pastor friend shouted such things as “God damn America!” I still think that he just pretended to be Kenyan to be cool, to sell books and, perhaps, to get a foreign student scholarship at those colleges from which he refuses to release his transcripts. He’s probably not actually Kenyan. But as I speculated

All the time I was growing up in Atlanta, the face of Robert E. Lee was taking shape on the side of an enormous granite mountain just outside town. He loomed like a god above us, as much a presence as any deity, and God knows he was accepted as such. It was only much later that I began to question his sanctity, and then to hate what he stood for. When I was in elementary school, the face of Lee on Stone Mountain was a rough-cut thing, weathering and wasting as the generation that began it in 1912—a generation

The decision this past week by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to rescind federal trademark protections for the Redskins may ultimately tip the balance in the controversy over the 80-year-old name of Washington’s football team. If so, that would be a shame. Not because there’s insufficient reason to consider the name “disparaging to Native Americans,” as the patent office determined. Many of us recoil at the reference to skin color as a team identity. The problem is that the Redskins case is just the latest example of a federal agency going beyond its brief to inappropriately insert itself in

Hillary Clinton´s multimillion dollar fortune has caused some negative headlines during the media tour for the release of her new book "Hard Choices," which is widely seen as a prelude to a potential 2016 presidential campaign. Outwardly, they put on a show of unity — but privately, the Obamas and Clintons, the two power couples of the Democrat Party, loathe each other. “I hate that man Obama more than any man I’ve ever met, more than any man who ever lived,” Bill Clinton said to friends on one occasion, adding he would never forgive Obama for suggesting he was a racist during the 2008 campaign. The feeling is mutual. Obama made excuses not to talk to Bill, while the first lady privately sniped about Hillary. The least loved institution in America today is the U.S. Senate, and one of the reasons it is reviled is a zero-sum approach to women´s medical care. It´s time we changed that and adopt modern policies that make sense instead of using women´s medical issues as an election-year power play. One of the most rational ways for Washington to break this gridlock is to approve oral contraception for over-the-counter purchases by adults.
