Skulls Found Inside Teddy
Bears at Mexico Airport

Agence France Presse, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:mitzi, 6/23/2014 9:14:57 AM

Inspectors discovered two skulls and other human remains hidden inside teddy bears at a Mexico City airport shipping company. Company employees made the find when they ran the plush bears under an x-ray machine during a routine inspection, the Mexico City public prosecutor´s office said on Sunday. The human remains "appear to have been recently exhumed," the office said in a statement. Authorities contacted and arrested the man who was mailing the package, who said he bought the skulls at a popular downtown Mexico City market. The man said the skulls "are in demand abroad by people who practice santeria,"

Comments:
I wonder where the downtown Mexico City market gets the skulls. Body snatchers?

These skulls were probably sold at the Fayuca market in Mexico City. I have seen hand grenades being sold there.

If you think Santeria isn´t practiced here already, you would be mistaken. Wait until you see dead chickens on the freeway or you see your new doctor´s garage alter.

‘Remarkably Myopic’?
New York Sun, by Editorial    Original Article

It looks like the Gray Lady needs to get a new pair of glasses. As recently as January it used the phrase “remarkably myopic” to describe an appeals court ruling against President Obama’s abuse of the recess appointment power. Not only did the Times use the word “myopic” but they also called the ruling an “absurdity.” Yet when the Supreme Curt took at look at the Appeals Court decision and unfurled its eye chart, the letters on the top line spelled out “A-F-F-I-R-M-E-D.” Think they’ll be able to make out the small print on the next line? Here’s what it says: “U-n-a-n-i-m-o-u-s.” The decision is being retailed as what the Times’

It’s hard to remember now. But one of the themes of Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign was “unity.” The soon-to-be president and his supporters hoped to transcend the deep partisan and ideological divisions in our society. For the most part, that hope has gone the way of George W. Bush’s promise that he was going to be “a uniterIn both today’s Noel Canning decision on recess appointments and yesterday’s cell phone search decision, the justices unanimously rejected the administration’s extreme positions, even though they disagreed on other issues involved in the two cases. , not a divider.” Perhaps no president could truly deliver on such a promise in this day and age. But President Obama has managed to create a measure of unity

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Archdiocese of Santa Fe announced Wednesday it is exploring sainthood for an Italian-born nun who challenged Billy the Kid, calmed angry mobs and helped open New Mexico territory hospitals and schools. Archbishop Michael Sheehan said he has received permission from the Vatican to open the "Sainthood Cause" for Sister Blandina Segale, an educator and social worker who worked in Ohio, Colorado and New Mexico. It´s the first time in New Mexico´s 400-year history with the Roman Catholic Church that a decree opening the cause of beatification and canonization has been declared, church officials said. WASHINGTON -- Congressional investigators say they uncovered emails Wednesday showing that a former Internal Revenue Service official at the heart of the tea party investigation sought an audit involving a Republican senator in 2012. The emails show former IRS official Lois Lerner mistakenly received an invitation to an event that was meant to go to Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa. Grassley presumably received Lerner´s invitation. The event organizer apparently offered to pay for Grassley´s wife to attend the event. In an email to another IRS official, Lerner suggests referring the matter for an audit, saying it might be inappropriate for the

From the announcement by Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) that Congress is considering filing a lawsuit against the Obama administration to the lawsuit against the IRS by the National Organization for Marriage, momentum is building for legal action against the corrupt and venal executive branch. Boehner’s lawsuit would be advisory in nature; the so-called “political question doctrine” often invoked by the Supreme Court generally prevents any judicial action against the executive branch when Congress’ prerogatives are trampled. George Will suggested this week that the law be changed to allow Congress standing against the president. But that is unlikely,

Thad Cochran’s political resurrection began with a campaign shakeup and ended with a Hail Mary television ad. Just three weeks ago, in the dead of night on June 3, the Mississippi senator’s staff sat shaken and dejected, crestfallen at the results of a primary that deprived the six-term incumbent of an electoral majority. With Cochran forced into a runoff fight against an aggressive and energetic challenger, a dark mood shadowed his backers in Washington and Mississippi.Yet almost immediately, the Cochran coalition began bouncing back. Lois Lerner, the controversial director of the tax-exempt organizations division at the Internal Revenue Service, has a long sordid history of targeting conservatives. Under the direction of Lois Lerner, the Federal Election Commission sued the Christian Coalition in the 1990s. She harassed the Christian Coalition for three election cycles. Eventually, she lost her case. At one point Lerner even asked a targeted conservative if Pat Robertson prayed over him. (Sound familiar?) In 1996, while at the FEC, Lois Lerner harassed Republican Senate candidate Al Salvi and made him this outrageous offer, “Promise me you will never run for office again, and

Republicans are in the strongest position to win back the Senate since losing it eight years ago. Over several months, the party has expanded its range of targeted seats, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has helped defeat insurgents it didn’t want representing the GOP in the midterm elections. This sober realization came to Democrats on Wednesday, as Tuesday night’s primary results showed they cannot count on Tea Party candidates upsetting more-electable incumbents. And Democrats are increasingly realizing that President Obama’s approval rating will probably remain mired at 45 percent or lower until

National conservative groups are angry after incumbent Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran pulled off a victory in the state’s GOP run-off — likely because of his campaign’s outreach to Democratic voters. “It’s disgraceful that self-described GOP leaders like Mitch McConnell, John McCain, the Chamber of Commerce and the NRSC would champion a campaign platform of pork barrel spending and insider deal-making, while recruiting Democrats to show up at the polls,” Matt Kibbe of FreedomWorks said after the results came in. Tuesday’s closely-watched run-off came after conservative state Sen. Chris McDaniel edged Cochran in votes in the initial election earlier this month.
