Here´s How Much People Are
Actually Paying For Obamacare

Associated Press, by Brett LoGiurato

In his days as a salesman pitching his healthcare law to the American public, President Barack Obama often said it would not cost much more than a monthly cell-phone bill. For many people, that has turned out to be true, according to new data released by the Department of Health and Human Services on Wednesday. The report found people receiving subsidized health insurance plans are paying $82 a month, on average, for their premiums.(Snip)While Obamacare is clearly helping some people lower their premiums, what´s less clear from the report is the cost of these subsidies to the federal government. This is how it works. They hook 8 or 10 million to the subsidies, and from then on the program becomes politically impossible to repeal, no matter what polls show or who the Republicans might manage to elect nominate in the future.

The Marxocrats know exactly what they´re doing.

There is no clarity on the cost of these premiums passed on to taxpayers in this article. The government doesn´t fund anything much less the hidden costs of these health care policies. There is no data forthcoming as yet that details what the government pass through for taxpayers is currently or will be in the future. They just don´t know how much these subsidies will be. A complete unknown and the government is in no hurry to find out.

There is no doubt in my mind that the total costs of health care insurance has soared since this PPACA was enacted. The extra layer occupied by the bureaucracy ensures this.

Eventually the costs of these subsidies will exceed any revenue sources currently allocated to them. The GOP Congress will not add new revenue sources. Many, most, of these subsidized folks will be flipped to Medicaid, which may or may not be covered - for a few years - by the federal government. Eventually the states, who ultimately pay for Medicaid, will end up bearing the brunt of these new charity cases.

I understand proof of these numbers was on the IRS computers with the "broken" hard drives. So we will just have to take the administrations word for these facts and figures. Everyone I know has seen a major increase and even with a subsidy can not swallow the pill (bill) for their new medical insurance premiums nor are the tripled deductibles appreciated. Why have insurance when either the medical need is not covered or the deductible covers the cost for most of the service. Works like one of those high pressure extended car warranty programs pitched over the telephone.

Rah rah! Where to begin? Its Almost July and no one can say how many premium paying customers have signed up. More choices? More than what? Is that all people are paying? If so, how will the program stay afloat?

My daughter had her own private plan she was paying from BCBS. Her plan was eliminated and she was forced on to the exchange. She had a good plan, liked her plan, didn´t want to change, but had no choice. Her premiums went from around $160 per month to around $150 per month, so she did see a slight reduction. However, she can´t find a doctor that will take the new plan! She finally found a doctor who required she pay full price up front, and he will reimburse if the plan pays any of the cost. She just wants her old plan back!

The simple fact is that these "low cost" plans are not worth having. They cover less - and good luck trying to find a doctor or hospital that accepts them.

It´s like buing a cheaper car only find out that it lacks an engine.

BTW, how many are STILL uninsured (the rationale for this monstrosity in the first place)??

Knowing what we know about government agencies, what do we make of the alleged facts coming from the following?:

"....HHS said"

"Federal officials said the data proves the law is working."

"The report did not measure the premiums of insurance purchased through state-based marketplaces and federal officials told reporters they didn´t have that data."

"...newly confirmed Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell said."

"Federal officials refused to speculate on subsidies´ cost now that the law has gone into effect."

"An HHS official said the department hopes to have that information "later this year."

Howsomever.....there is this:

While Obamacare is clearly helping some people lower their premiums, what´s less clear from the report is the cost of these subsidies to the federal government.

So let´s do some calculating: Some people are benefiting from O´Care. A lot of people, if you believe the gov´t spokespeople. But if you actually do the math, the American taxpayer once again is saddled with another entitlement program over which we have no control.

Looks like John Roberts was right when he deemed Obamacare a tax.

Grade A Tripe from Associated Pravda.

Most people are not receiving subsidies. Most people are paying a lot more than $82 a month. So, when this article only reports on one small segment it is profoundly misleading.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida’s political landscape is being upended by a landmark legal ruling that one legal expert says could influence the way other states draw their congressional districts. A circuit judge ruled late Thursday that the state Legislature illegally drew Florida’s congressional districts to primarily benefit the Republican Party. Judge Terry Lewis ruled that two of the state’s 27 congressional districts were invalid and that the map must be redrawn. Justin Levitt, a law professor at Loyola Law School who tracks redistricting cases, called the decision a “big victory” for Florida’s voters that could be a model for other states to

Both dismissed that course of action as well, with Brooks calling it “cloud cuckoo land.” Partial transcript as follows: WOODRUFF: So the Highway Trust
