Well, that’s fun: an Obama megadonor, who donated over a million dollars to an Obama PAC in 2012 and dozens of other Democrat donors, was just indicted on a smattering of charges, including fraud (for running a multimillion-dollar kickback scheme), and, uh, manslaughter.Kareem Ahmed, the CEO of Landmark Medical Management, was indicted by a California grand jury along with 15 of his associates. In the indictment, obtained by Talking Points Memo, Ahmed is accused of “developing topical cream formulas ‘based on the profitability of the ingredients,’ and then giving doctors who treated workers’ compensation patients illegal financial incentives to prescribe

Hunger in America: Kids of Ivy League Parents
Starving without Michelle Obama’s Intervention

First Lady Michelle Obama recently drew on her personal experience as a parent to justify her vastly unpopular intervention into the public school lunch program: Before coming to the White House, I struggled, as a working parent with a traveling, busy husband, to figure out how to feed my kids healthy, and I didn’t get it right. Our pediatrician had to pull me aside and point out some things that were going wrong. I thought to myself, if a Princeton and Harvard educated professional woman doesn’t know how to adequately feed her kids, then what are other parents going through who don’t have

Despite the newest revelation in the Veterans Affairs scandal on Thursday that one in ten veterans have to wait at least one month before they can get an appointment to see a doctor, CBS and NBC refused to cover the latest news in both their evening news shows on Thursday night as well as their morning shows on Friday morning.ABC News only gave 14 seconds of coverage to the issue in a news brief during the 7:00 am hour on Friday’s Good Morning America. CBS News chose to instead publish an article about it on their website Thursday afternoon. [MP3

Chuck Todd on Obama Poll Numbers:
Public Is Saying ‘Your Presidency Is Over’

Discussing a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll that shows President Barack Obama hitting his lowest foreign policy number in the history of the poll, NBC News White House correspondent Chuck Todd said on Morning Joe Wednesday morning that the poll reflected the public making a damning verdict about Obama’s presidency. “This poll is a disaster for the president,” Todd said. “You look at the presidency here: lowest job rating, tied for the lowest; lowest on foreign policy. His administration is seen as less competent than the Bush administration, post-Katrina.” (Here came some awkwardness, as Nicolle Wallace, former Bush communications director at

Dr. Oz might as well be a cowardly lion — sent home with his tail between his legs after being accused at a congressional hearing of lying on his show about weight-loss claims. The popular TV doctor thought he was offering expert testimony about bogus medical supplements and get-thin-quick schemes when he showed up at a Senate panel hearing on Tuesday. But the wizard of health was quickly playing defense when lawmakers called him a big, fat liar. “I don’t get why you need to say this stuff, because you know it’s not true,” said Sen. Claire McCaskill, who led the commerce subcommittee

Argentina’s president told a national television audience late Monday that the country would not abide by U.S. court rulings ordering payment of $1.3 billion to disgruntled creditors whose long-running legal battle against the nation received a boost from the U.S. Supreme Court earlier in the day. In a defiant address, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner called the court orders “extortion.” But she said her country will continue making payments to holders of its restructured debt. “We want to fulfill and honor our debt, and we will do that,” she said, according to Reuters news service. “I ordered the economy ministry

Ukraine’s acting Foreign Minister Andriy Deshchytsia cut to the chase Sunday when he was overheard calling Russian President and 2005 Super Bowl champion Vladimir Putin a “dickhead.” Deshchytsia was attempted to calm an angry crowd that was attacking the Russian embassy following the downing of a Ukrainian jet by pro-Russia separatist forces, the deadliest incident in the standoff between Ukraine and Russia. “Yes, Putin is a dickhead,” he said, but countered: “We must fulfill our international obligations, including defending the right of Russia to have an embassy in Ukraine.” At the phrase “Putin khuilo,” which roughly translates to “dickhead” among a couple other

Mitt Romney calls Hillary

Mitt Romney focused his fire on Hillary Clinton Sunday, repeatedly slamming her foreign policy record as “clueless” and predicting she will go down in defeat in 2016 because of it. Clinton has no successes to point from her record as secretary of State, Romney said. Her attempt to reset U.S. policy on Russia had the opposite effect, Romney said, and her recent comments regarding the Obama administration´s release of five Taliban leaders from Guantanamo Bay in exchange for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, were “clueless.”

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, speaking in San Francisco on Wednesday night, said the U.S. would better serve its diverse population by letting the states handle many economic and social policies, a point he perhaps inadvertently drove home when he compared homosexuality to alcoholism. Addressing the Commonwealth Club of California, Perry argued the federal government should give up much of its policy-making power, letting states chart their own courses on issues ranging from business subsidies to abortion. He joked about his frequent habit of luring California companies to Texas and called the competition between the two states healthy for both, as well

WEST CHESTER, Pa.—Expecting House Majority Leader Eric Cantor to win his GOP primary in Virginia, I spent Election Day in Pennsylvania—interviewing angry Republicans, Democrats, and independents about the rise of political populism. I was in the wrong state, but I had the right topic. Cantor´s defeat has less to do with immigration reform than it does with an uneven movement that should frighten conservative and liberal political elites to their shallow cores. Americans see a grim future for themselves, their children, and their country. They believe their political leaders are selfish, greedy, and short-sighted—unable and/or unwilling to shield most people

Here’s all you need to know about Eric Cantor’s stunning loss in the Republican primary for Virginia’s seventh congressional district. For almost as long as I’ve lived here, which is coming up on 20 years now, the purpose of the seventh district has been to re-elect Eric Cantor every two years. It’s a strongly Republican district that spans across a very conservative stretch of rural Central Virginia, from the Richmond suburbs to Culpeper. So what were we going to do, vote for a Democrat? No, we were going to vote for Cantor.

It has become a daily frightening occurrence, hearing politicians, commentators, pundits, and stunned Americans say, “That´s outrageous!” “He can´t do that!” “No way!” “It´s against federal law!” “They have no legal authority to force us to do that!” These comments are in response to the daily unprecedented out-of-control tyranny handed down by Obama and his operatives. We are talking arrogance with a capital A coming out of the Obama administration. WASHINGTON -- The commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service refused to apologize to Congress for losing e-mails related to its targeting of conservative groups, saying it´s still attempting to recover the data and it´s too soon to know how many e-mails are missing. In his most contentious hearing since becoming commissioner six months ago, Koskinen testified about efforts the IRS has made to recover e-mails that were lost when Lois Lerner´s computer hard drive crashed

The Obama administration’s claim to have been surprised by the wave of children flooding over out borders may turn out to be another political lie of the year. Sundance of Conservative Treehouse noticed a very peculiar advertisement: On January 29th of this year, the federal government posted an advertisement seeking bids for a vendor contract to handle “Unaccompanied Alien Children“. Not just any contract mind you, but a very specific contract – for a very specific number of unaccompanied minors: 65,000. • Why would DHS and ICE be claiming “surprise” by the current influx of unaccompanied minors on the border

I have been listening all week to TV pundits lamenting that Lois Lerner’s hard drive has been destroyed, and therefore her e-mails are lost. This is simply not the case. I never cease to be amazed at the lack of understanding of how the e-mail system works. When you write an e-mail, it goes to your server to be sent to the person you e-mailed. Your server keeps a copy of that e-mail, and of all your e-mails – sent and received. When you create all the folders in your e-mail program that you use to save e-mails in...these are also

President Obama told his Mexican counterpart in a phone call Thursday that immigrants crossing into the U.S. illegally won’t qualify for legalized status or deferred deportation, including children. The White House said Mr. Obama and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto discussed “a regional strategy” to address the surge of unaccompanied children coming from Central America, through Mexico, to the U.S. With thousands of children trying to enter the U.S. illegally in recent months, Vice President Joseph R. The U.S. is leading by example in promoting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) rights at home and around the world, Secretary of State John Kerry said Thursday. He said the federal government recognizes same-sex marriages of foreign diplomats stationed in the U.S., and it expects all other countries to do the same in their treatment of U.S. personnel deployed abroad. “Let me be clear: We oppose any effort by any country to deny visas for spouses of American staff,” he said. “It’s discriminatory, it’s unacceptable, it has no place in the 21st century.”

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton continues to tour the nation, promoting her new book, Hard Choices, and a possible 2016 candidacy. Her book tour, filled with gaffes and missteps, has lagged and perhaps failed to live up to expectations. But that´s not all. Her book, when compared to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin´s political memoir, Going Rogue, has woefully underperformed in sales. And it’s pretty cut and dried. Palin´s book, which was released the same year President Obama moved into the White House, sold approximately 496,000 copies in its first week of release, according to figures cited by the New York Times.

Chelsea Clinton - under scrutiny for her pricey contract with NBC News - hasn´t been featured since January, but the network says it does expect two completed stories to air soon, and two others are in the works. Bill and Hillary Clinton´s daughter, who was hired in 2011, has done just a smattering of reporting for NBC News. Last week, Politico reported she is being paid $600,000 a year. Politico also said the 34-year-old, who is expecting her first child later this year, is now on a month-to-month contract that would ease her departure should her mother decide to run for president
