Hunger in America: Kids of Ivy League Parents
Starving without Michelle Obama’s Intervention

Townhall, by Charlotte Hayes

Original Article

First Lady Michelle Obama recently drew on her personal experience as a parent to justify her vastly unpopular intervention into the public school lunch program: Before coming to the White House, I struggled, as a working parent with a traveling, busy husband, to figure out how to feed my kids healthy, and I didn’t get it right. Our pediatrician had to pull me aside and point out some things that were going wrong. I thought to myself, if a Princeton and Harvard educated professional woman doesn’t know how to adequately feed her kids, then what are other parents going through who don’t have

The message is very insidious. What she´s saying is that we´re all too stupid to feed ourselves properly, a task that can only be accomplished by some government bureaucrat with an IQ of 95.

Perhaps Michelle can´t read and doesn´t think anyone else can. Of course with our public schools the way they are, perhaps she is right.

FTA: “...I thought to myself, if a Princeton and Harvard educated professional woman doesn’t know how to adequately feed her kids, then what are other parents going through who don’t have access to the information I have?…”

In other words “As brilliant and educated as I am, if I don’t know how to feed my kids, then no one does. So-o-o, now that my pediatrician has educated me, I consider myself an authority on nutrition and will make up menus for all the schools in America, which will be followed under force of law.”

Brilliant….Just brilliant!

She still doesn´t know. If you judge how she feeds her kids by the way she eats. There´s no consensus anywhere on feeding kids. They all grow up different. Different genes, different lifestyles, different body types. I only got me educated at Arizona State. I figured out how to use a can opener on my own soon after. Disgusting woman.

So she wants everyone in the country to delegate the care and feeding of their children ... to a flock of people with Ivy League degrees.

She ruined school lunches. My two older kids, loved lunch at the local HS. My youngest is not in HS and he came home last year and said Mom, no one is eating lunch at school anymore, they ruined the food. They used to make the best sandwiches that ran out every day and were served with an apple and chips and now they use gross bread, one piece of meat and nothing on it and give them a small piece of fruit and ditched the chips." He asks me to either make his lunch now, (thanks Michelle, I am a working single mom), or he gets money from me for fast food, which is where him and his friends go for lunch.

I took Home Economics in 7th and 8th grade in small town Oklahoma, and learned the Food Groups, how to plan meals, etc and the semester test in 8th grade was cooking a nutritious meal.

At the time, I´d been "helping" my Mom every day after school with cooking the family supper, and also shopping to find good bargains at the grocery store and turning them into meals.

Is Moochelle saying her mother was not adequate at training her daughter to be a wife and mother??

Nadine Gordimer, the South African writer whose literary ambitions led her into the heart of apartheid to create a body of fiction that brought her a Nobel Prize in 1991, died on Sunday in Johannesburg. She was 90. Her family announced her death in a statement. Ms. Gordimer did not originally choose apartheid as her subject as a young writer, she said, but she found it impossible to dig deeply into South African life without striking repression. And once the Afrikaner nationalists came to power in 1948, the scaffolds of the apartheid system began to rise around her and could not be

Tech leaders poured millions into FWD.us, an immigration advocacy group that has dominated ad buys, launched elaborate hackathons and coddled conservatives in an effort to revamp the country’s immigration system. It galloped into the debate with the tech industry’s classic certainty but wound up facing the same obstacles that have halted reform for decades.

The “ugly American” has gotten a lot uglier over the past few weeks, from the streets of California to the halls of Congress and state houses around the country. A growing number of our fellow Americans have taken on grotesque features, in looks and sounds, in reaction to the thousands of children from Central America who have crossed our borders as they flee poverty and violence in hope for something better.
