Obama: ‘We gave Iraq the chance

Washington Times, by Douglas Ernst

President Obama hopes Iraq’s Shia-led government can find a way to be more inclusive of its Sunni minority, but if it can’t come to a reconciliation with its multiple factions, then he says no amount of U.S. military assistance will help. “We gave Iraq the chance to have an inclusive democracy,” Mr. Obama said in an interview with CNN on Friday. The message for Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki also comes shortly after the Shiite leader was chided by Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani in the holy city of Najaf, south of Baghdad. Mr. Obama’s comments come as 300 military advisers make their

Comments:
The arrogance of that guy continues to astound me. He gave them a chance?? You mean he gave them a chance when he cut and ran? And then left no American residual forces there to stablize the area and protect what those dedicated soldiers bled and died for.

President Obama,

YOU did not give them anything. The blood, sweat, tears, lives and limbs of our troops gave them that chance.

In the meantime, you abandoned the Iraqi people and the men and women who sacrificed everything to give them that chance because it was politically expedient to do so.

You left a fledgling democracy in its infancy without any guidance. (Not that your guidance would be worth a pot to p*** in). Our troops would have continued to act as a deterrent to ISIS and every other crazy sect that wants destroy the world.

You are a disgrace and an embarrassment to this great country, as are the Dems and RINO´s and MSM who support you.

None of you are fit to shine the shoes of those who have fought on your behalf and quite frankly, you all disgust me.

Obama is trying to make this about democracy ,
when it´s about jihadists establishing
a terror state in Iraq.
The time to address Maliki´s governing deficiencies
was years ago .
In other words, a couple of hundred golf games ago.

Obama Destabilizes Mideast,

Middle East: Was it a tasteless self-parody when President Obama urged Israel not to "destabilize the situation" after three kidnapped teens were found murdered by Hamas? He is the destabilizer. One can imagine the average Israeli snapping, "Spare us," upon hearing Barack Obama talk about how "as a father, I cannot imagine the indescribable pain that the parents of these teenage boys are experiencing." For more than five years, Obama´s radical Mideast policies have threatened the future of every teenager within what is now, with Iraq crumbling under the same policies, again the region´s only free country. Defense: Seeing his commander in chief turn a Muslim convert deserter into a national hero, another Muslim soldier — a double deserter — has finally turned himself in. He deserves no leniency. Following in the footsteps of Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl, Marine deserter Wassef Ali Hassoun has resurfaced in Virginia after years of faking his own kidnapping in Iraq. Like Bergdahl, Hassoun appears to have collaborated with the enemy. An Arabic translator, he refused to translate questions about Islam and showed jihadist clerics undue respect during interrogations. Later he abandoned his guard post at his base in Fallujah during the critical offensive

Megyn Kelly aired part two of her big Bill Ayers interview tonight, and in it she asked more about his involvement in bombings, his relationship with President Obama, and what it would take to get him to bomb the U.S. again. Ayers said that he moderated the Weather Underground after a time, but Kelly repeatedly pressed him on whether a more moderate message actually stuck with its younger members. And Ayers even admitted that “we should have destroyed more property” back then in their attempts to protest and fight back against the “genocidal war” in Vietnam. Ayers repeatedly disputed quotes and claims

If Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) wins reelection this fall and Republicans take back the Senate from Democrats, he will likely become Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. The senator reminded potential voters of this fact over the weekend when he spoke at the National Right to Life Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. “I’m proud of my record and defense of life. If I was majority leader, we’d already have had a vote on it in the Senate,” McConnell said, referring to legislation on abortion rights. “It’s long past time for us to join the ranks of most other civilized nations to

The Lionsgate docudrama begins with a musing on what might have happened if George Washington had been killed during the Revolutionary War, leading to the erasure of Mount Rushmore, the Statue of Liberty and other icons of Americana. Viewers expecting an alternate history will be disappointed, since the film moves beyond that to instead look at alternate perspectives on the America that was and is. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has argued cases before the United States Supreme Court, successfully. President Barack Obama has not. He has never argued a case at the Supreme Court at all. That didn’t stop his spokesmen from playing the constitutional lawyer credential card when reacting to the Hobby Lobby defeat on Monday. Sen. Cruz is also an excellent troll, very much a match for Obama on that score. Obama treats matters of law as opportunities to troll — see both his handling of the border and his Obamacare abortifacient mandate. Obama is trolling everyone on one thing or another. A large coal company´s petition against the Environmental Protection Agency´s proposed emissions rule for power plants is a legal swing for the fences, but a decades-old discrepancy in a technical amendment to the Clean Air Act might give it a chance, according to experts. Separate House and Senate versions of the act, which was last amended in 1990, were never reconciled and therefore lead to different interpretations. Murray Energy Corp., which filed the petition June 18 in the D.C. Circuit Court, is hewing to the House version in claiming the EPA has overstepped its authority. Buses of undocumented immigrants were being sent today to a U.S. Customs and Border facility in Murrieta, California, but the buses had to turn away after protestors in the town physically blocked the buses from entering. The buses’ occupants, according to the L.A. Times, are “primarily children accompanied by mothers or fathers.” Alan Long, the mayor of Murietta, spoke out on the transfer Monday. Long voiced opposition to the transfer and encouraged residents to speak out on it too, but assured that local authorities have prepared to deal with any potential security issues. Perennial ratings victor Fox News Channel celebrates a new milestone this week: It just wrapped its 50th consecutive quarter (and 150th consecutive month) as the most watched cable news network in both total day and primetime. It´s a record only matched by ESPN, which has enjoyed a similar dominance in the sports category. Though FNC, like all cable news networks, saw year-to-year losses in the second quarter, its average 1.6 million viewers and 267,000 adults 25-54 still gives it large margins of victory in primetime — where its biggest competition might be itself. Today, the Supreme Court ruled in the nationally followed Hobby Lobby case. The for-profit corporations that brought these cases to the Supreme Court—a craft store and a cabinet manufacturer—argued that the corporations’ religious convictions should excuse them from compensating their employees through the comprehensive health insurance required by law. Specifically, these private employers sought to exclude insurance coverage of several forms of birth control because, contrary to medical and scientific evidence, the corporations’ owners believe some birth control causes abortions. The Affordable Care Act already includes special arrangements for houses of worship and religious non-profits, like schools and hospitals. Houses

The waves of rockets from Gaza and IDF retaliations have picked up since the teens were kidnapped and the Israeli crackdown began.
