´Nobody Believes You´: Ryan
Blasts IRS Head Over Lost Emails

Fox News, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:Drive, 6/20/2014 2:12:02 PM

Some fireworks on Capitol Hill this morning as furious Republicans are calling out IRS Commissioner John Koskinen. Lawmakers are outraged after learning a week ago that many of former IRS official Lois Lerner´s emails from a two-year period supposedly have disappeared. New claims have surfaced that Lerner's hard drive was destroyed and emails from several other officials also have gone missing. Koskinen got the hearing off to a contentious start (video below) by telling House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) that he doesn't feel an apology is owed for the lost emails.

Of course the media will now focus more on the Republican´s hostile reaction to the "lost" emails as opposed to the emails themselves and the outright lies being told and crimes being committed.

Even a country bumpkin like me know that e-mails are not stored on ANYBODY´S hard drive. They are stored on a mail server and backed-up in multiple ways.

If Lois Lerner´s mails were lost, then so were thousands of other IRS employees.

Either these IRS people admit they are LYING or hundreds of people need to get fired for being completely incompetent.

Mr. Koskinen appears smug, arrogant and completely unconcerned. Who knows if Ryan is sincere or acting? He´s a politician. I have so little faith in Washington that I believe that nothing will ever come of all of this except moments of theatre like this. Mr. Koskinen at one point defends his reputation but I have news for him: he might not have been a punk when he started working with these weasels but he is one now. He has become despicable.

I used a government email system for a long time - school system. It was hopelessly antiquated, the storage for past emails was very limited. We were forbidden to contact parents from our personal email accounts because the system wanted to be able to check our mail. If you didn´t delete junk mail (and there was quite a bit of that) your inbox would fill up and everything would be bounced back. It was not unusual for it to take 24 hours for an email to go from my home to the school. These claims of lost or missing emails do not seem preposterous to me - though they do seem very convenient.

Obama pledges to redirect immigration
enforcement, conceding defeat on overhaul
Washington Post, by Zachary A. Goldfarb & David Nakamura    Original Article

President Obama will acknowledge Monday that there is no hope for legislation overhauling the immigration system in Congress this year and announce he is redirecting immigration enforcement from the interior of the United States to the border. The action, which beefs up efforts to stem illegal immigration across the border but could slow efforts to deport undocumented immigrants already in the country, is one of series of executive actions Obama will pledge since the House decided not to take up immigration legislation this year. The announcement represents the ends of hopes in the White House and elsewhere that the House might pursue legislation to strengthen the nation’s borders and immigration enforcement while also providing a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. The Senate passed such a bill last year.

The vital incoherent center

Here’s one political paradox: A substantial majority of Americans do not fit neatly into the conventional “liberal” and “conservative” boxes, yet there is no coherent political center. Those who dream of a middle-of-the-road third party are destined to be disappointed. Here’s another: Groups broadly sympathetic to the Democratic Party significantly outnumber those sympathetic to the Republican Party. But in the smaller but influential universe of the ideologically committed, conservative Republicans outnumber liberal Democrats. The larger Democratic coalition has mixed convictions while the smaller Republican core is filled with passionate intensity. Every decade or so, the Pew Research Center sorts the U.S. electorate

Michelle Obama took some heat in 2008 for saying that, "for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country..." As it turns out, that sentiment isn´t all that unusual on the far left of American politics. According to a new Pew Research Center study, only 40 percent of consistently liberal Americans say they often feel proud to be Americans. The other 60 percent say that doesn´t describe them. The finding is contained in Pew´s new "Political Typology" report, which breaks Americans down into seven different categories -- rather than the usual three. Among the seven categories, "solid liberals"

The FBI has seized 80,000 potentially damning emails from Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., giving the media titan worries on both sides of the Atlantic in the ongoing phone hacking scandal. While Murdoch was in London on Thursday facing the fallout from the conviction of one of his former star editors, it was disclosed in the U.S. that the FBI took and shared the mountain of emails with British prosecutors. The emails, all copied from servers at News Corp.’s Midtown headquarters, include messages Rebekah Brooks, Murdoch’s former protégé, sent up the chain of command during the height of the phone-hacking scandal, The Daily

A three-course lunch hosted by an eccentric Chinese millionaire for 250 homeless New Yorkers in a posh restaurant degenerated into fury when guests were denied $300 cash handouts. It had seemed such a good idea. Recycling tycoon Chen Guangbiao last week took out ads in American newspapers promising a first-rate meal at the Boathouse in Central Park and $300 each. Guests were bused in and treated to a sit-down meal of seared tuna, filet mignon and seasonal berries, waited on by staff in suits and bow ties, but anger flared over the cash no-show.

By the time she announced yesterday that she was stepping down as ABC’s evening news anchor, Diane Sawyer had become the queen of the big flashy interview. Both Chris Christie and Hillary Clinton chose her for their first sitdown at high-pressure moments—Christie as he was battling the Bridgegate allegations, Clinton as she was kicking off her book-slash-campaign tour. And Sawyer, with her disarming style, got both of them to commit candor, not an easy thing to achieve with programmed politicians. As thousands of disease-riddled criminals storm across our borders, is it really time to mince words? President Obama appears to have an Agenda for America that stinks worse than a Border Patrol bus depot crammed with urine-drenched illegals. On January 29, 2014, the Department of Homeland Security advertised for a vendor to escort 65,000 “unaccompanied alien children,” indicating that they not only knew the alien invasion was coming, they planned it.

Today, the Supreme Court ruled in the nationally followed Hobby Lobby case. The for-profit corporations that brought these cases to the Supreme Court—a craft store and a cabinet manufacturer—argued that the corporations’ religious convictions should excuse them from compensating their employees through the comprehensive health insurance required by law. Specifically, these private employers sought to exclude insurance coverage of several forms of birth control because, contrary to medical and scientific evidence, the corporations’ owners believe some birth control causes abortions. The Affordable Care Act already includes special arrangements for houses of worship and religious non-profits, like schools and hospitals. Houses
