Mississippi carnival: Sarah
Palin vs. Brett Favre

Politico, by Alexander Burns

MADISON, Miss. —Ladies and gentlemen, the circus has come to Madison County. As the wild Republican Senate runoff here tumbles to a climax next week, what began as a bare-bones campaign against Sen. Thad Cochran has bloomed into a full-blown political carnival. Insurgent conservative Chris McDaniel, once viewed as a gadfly state legislator propped up by a lonely pair of well-funded national groups, is now at the center of a colorful and unwieldy activist entourage scrambling to grab a piece of his anticipated success. The names and faces crowding around McDaniel would be familiar to voters in any number of

Underlying the idiocy of the writer and the website this is published on is the utter terror that both he and the website flunkies at Politico feel over what´s coming their way this fall.

In case someone is encountering Politico for the first time, you should know that they are 100% in-the-tank Zerobama supporters and democrats through and through.

All the Left has left is derision, none of which was on display during the Occupy circus, a real circus by the way. Alinskyites all of them.

#6 is correct - there is no question that they are afraid. There are no real primaries on the Democrat side - it´s all rigged. Only the Republican Party is capable of healing. Cantor´s debacle should strike the Fear of God in the American left.

Confusion over doctor lists is costly
for Obamacare enrollees in state
Los Angeles Times, by Chad Terhune    Original Article

Frustration and legal challenges over the network of doctors and hospitals for Obamacare patients have marred an otherwise successful rollout of the federal healthcare law in California. Limiting the number of medical providers was part of an effort by insurers to hold down premiums. But confusion over the new plans has led to unforeseen medical bills for some patients and prompted a state investigation. More complaints are surfacing as patients start to use their new coverage bought through Covered California, the state´s health insurance exchange. "I thought I had done everything right, and it´s been awful," said Jean Buchanan, 56.

As it turns out, he was interrogated both before and after authorities told him of his Miranda rights -- which give him the right to remain silent to avoid self-incrimination, a U.S. official told CNN. But Abu Khatallah continued providing information to officials after being advised of those rights, the official said. Miranda rights are part of due process for anyone arrested in the United

I am rapidly coming to the preliminary conclusion that Elizabeth Warren will be the Democrats’ 2016 standard bearer. Hillary Clinton is just too unlikable (remember that Barack Obama called her “likable enough” in one of the most memorable back handed compliments of recent political memory), and too transparently greedy, self-serving, and out of touch. Not to mention the appalling foreign affairs crises the United States faces in the wake of her term as Secretary of State. Her brand is tarnished. Jonah Goldberg, one of the canniest and funniest observers of the political scene, has a must-read column on why Warren

During a visit to the U.S.-Mexico border on Saturday, Nancy Pelosi said she held little hope that Congress will pass comprehensive immigration reform this year. The House Minority leader made her remarks during a visit to a Brownsville border patrol facility that cares for unaccompanied children. Saying that she wished she could ´take home´ the tens of thousands of children being cared for by such centers, Pelosi called for politics to be set aside to address what Barack Obama has called an ´urgent humanitarian situation´. More than 52,000 unaccompanied children, most from Central America, have been apprehended entering the U.S.

President Obama will ask Congress to provide more than $2 billion in new funds to control the surge of illegal Central American migrants at the South Texas border, and to grant broader powers for immigration officials to speed deportations of children caught crossing without their parents, White House officials said on Saturday. Mr. Obama will send a letter on Monday to alert Congress that he will seek an emergency appropriation for rapidly expanding border enforcement actions and humanitarian assistance programs to cope with the influx, which includes record numbers of unaccompanied minors and adults bringing children. There was less focus on Obama ignoring a federal law that required him to notify Congress 30 days in advance of releasing detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Laws such as this have been enacted to allow vital oversight of actions of such consequence. If this were an isolated instance, it could be dismissed. It is not. Comparisons between Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney have been greatly exaggerated, Hillary Clinton says. Clinton practically rolled with laughter when PBS’ Gwen Ifill noted humorlessly that her own husband has been “forced” to defend her recent comments about being “dead broke” after leaving the White House. What was humorous in that remarks is known only to Clinton. “I shouldn’t have said the, I think, five or so words that I said,” the former secretary of state said. “My inartful use of those five words doesn’t change who I am.” Later in the interview, Ifill asked if Clinton had become the Democratic adaptation of

What transpired in the Mississippi Senate run-off is a red line for many conservatives across the country, because the Republican Party establishment essentially took a civil war and escalated it to a war for independence. It’s one thing to oppose your base in a primary. It’s entirely another to despicably play the race card against your base, and bolster the legitimacy of the propaganda of our race-baiting opponents on the Left. But that’s exactly what the Kamikaze pilots running the GOP did. As a result, Chris McDaniel won Republican voters handily on Tuesday, but still lost the run-off statewide thanks
