White House´s Valerie Jarrett
dines with Rupert Murdoch to
plot immigration strategy

Washington Examiner, by Susan Crabtree

President Obama´s longtime senior adviser Valerie Jarrett confessed to breaking bread this week with conservative media titan Rupert Murdoch, a new White House frenemy of sorts on immigration reform. The two dined at the posh Blue Duck Tavern on Tuesday night in Washington´s Foggy Bottom, and Jarrett described the evening as “very enjoyable.” “Good policy sometimes makes strange bedfellows,” she told reporters at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor Friday, adding that she was impressed by Murdoch´s passion for passing comprehensive immigration reform. “He is an immigrant himself and he understands from a business perspective how important immigration reform would

This is so terribly upsetting and disturbing. Jarrett is pure evil and has absolutely nothing good planned for this country. I fear we are going to be extremely disappointed and furious with the behavior of the Republicans in the coming months.

Well, isn´t Valerie Jarrett an important piece of furniture? Congress needs to do something about that old bag.

Murdoch gave up his Australian citizenship for purely economic reasons to buy communications which required American citizenship.
Just like smarmy Wolfenson, Al Gores BFF, who gave up his Australian citizenship to become head of Kennedy Center and then World Bank.
These men are both opportunistic Americans.
Wolfenson used to travel with his string instrument in First Class on Taxpayers dime.
Sorry Rupert, if you are going to align with Jarrett- you are aligning with traitors.
Millions of Americans are out of work and already being supported by the declining and overburdened middle class.
Ellis Island worked.
Assimilation worked.
English as the common language works to unify.
Grandparents came through Ellis with some money and skills.
These economic refugees flooding our borders are bringing disease and dependency and should be deported immediately.

Immigration is good if it is done legally, and controlled. I came to the USA almost 45 years ago and the standards at that time were stringent. There were six categories of usefulness to the USA. My profession put me in Category 2. The suggested time for the application was 6 months to a year at that time, and quotas were set for each twice- yearly intake. Seeing the southern border under invasion by illegals must be so distressing for those waiting in line for approval, those who will get none of the favors of free everything that are lavished on rogue border crossers. What is being allowed to happen is akin to political suicide of the U.S of America - the Murdoch and Valjar misalliance does not bode well.

“Good policy sometimes makes strange bedfellows,”

She can´t even get a famous saying correct. Instead, she twists it around to make it suit her agenda.

Whoever said what pResident Jarrett has done is "good policy" ?

The saying is, "Politics makes strange bedfellows", and the history of the phrase usually connotes that politicians of different stripes coming together usually means one thing for we, the people: BOHICA.

So cram it with walnuts, Val.

Once again: immigration (illegal immigration, to be more accurate) is the defining issue in this election cycle. It is like Charlton Heston drawing a line in the sand in The Ten Commandments. Don´t be surprised who stands on which side of the line.

#10: Amen. No one is arguing against legal immigration. You and others who have followed the law are most welcome and embraced as fellow Americans. Immigration is only half the process: assimilation is the other half. It´s the "line cutters" who are undermining the system and the nation - and refuse to assimilate - who are the problem.

Whenever we see yet another movement group pushing for immigration reform, or in this case, amnesty, you can be sure someone like SEIU is not far behind. From The Hill, this afternoon’s move is their latest to accomplish the following: The group is pushing for the Obama administration to expand a 2012 program that allows some children brought to the country illegally to be deprioritized for deportation. The group wants the program to include the family members of those children as well. In other words, amnesty. In other words, no enforcement, and in fact, a reward for a lawless and orchestrated invasion

Scores of young immigrants stormed Capitol Hill on Friday to press leaders in both parties to rein in deportations for the sake of their families. The activists – most of them undocumented immigrants who have enrolled in President Obama´s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program – are fighting GOP efforts to scrap that initiative while simultaneously pressing Democrats to fight harder for its immediate expansion. Toward that end, the advocates – many sporting bright blue t-shirts emblazoned with the message "OBAMA DEPORTS PARENTS" – singled out three lawmakers on Friday: House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio); House Oversight Chairman Darrel Issa

President Obama offered a scathing indictment of congressional Republicans during an economic speech in Minnesota on Friday, accusing his political opponents of failing to “do anything, except block me and call me names.” The president argued the GOP had “blocked or voted down every serious idea to strengthen the middle class” offered by Democrats this year. He specifically cited efforts to raise the minimum wage, pass legislation guaranteeing fair pay between men and women and implement immigration reform. The remarks felt like an opening to the serious campaign season, given Congress’s departure from Washington for the July 4 recess. Lawmakers have spent relatively
