“I want you to drain them of their morale,” the robed man said. (Snip) Having proved to all that “nothing is worth dying for” it is all too easy to add “including anything Obama tells you to die for”. By converting the US Ship of State into a clown car Obama made himself a clown. And that is how Obama is being treated. He’s excluded from talks between Putin, Merkel and Hollande over the latest crisis in Ukraine though doubtless he’s being kept informed on the golf course. Obama is out of the loop as Leader of the Free World

Comments:
What used to be a unified America has become an agglomeration of what Wretchard calls affinity groups, each interested mainly in its own pet causes. Self-interested politicians like Obama spend most of their time appealing to these groups´ insular self-interests, making the rounds to those of his supporters who squawk the loudest, widening instead of narrowing the differences between factions of citizens while maintaining that he is bringing us together. It´s a tragedy that wise elders like Dr. Sowell will not live long enough to see again the united America that won WW2.

To project this a little further, the orders will come down to put down the rebellion in Topeka. We have to get that wheat to market so shoot anybody who gets in your way. The orders will be ignored, the weapons will be put away, the soldiers will get in their trucks and drive away. "You want me to shoot civilians in order to move a train of soybeans? Nope, I´m out o´ here! Not my fight!" Then it will be obvious that Ayn Rand was right. Like the Iraqi army, the people will just take a walk.

Without a world leader who gives enough of a **** to stand up and do what´s right to keep things on an even keel, the whole world can disintegrate. And it is not surprising to me that it can happen almost overnight. One morning we wake up and find that Iran has used one of their new "devices". Strangely enough it can happen just like that. The middle east mentality has no thought for the future, only the defeat of their neighbors. So it will go.

Writing science fiction can be fun, but we don´t need to make up story lines for the future. We have a couple of books by the names of Daniel and Revelation that tell us what the future holds. Don´t write off the New World Order that easily. For all of your intellectual imaginings, what will be will be what God said it will be. There is a man who will unite the world and bring peace for three and a half years. Don´t believe that? Watch and see. I wonder who the next president of the EU will be. He will think he holds all power, but he will be wrong. That would be God who holds all power. ´´Man plans. God laughs.´´

Sunny with light missile cover in Tel Aviv this morning. I awoke to muffled thuds in the distance, Iron Dome shooting down Syrian-made missiles launched from Gaza, according to news reports. (Snip) But the broader point is that Israel will win a war of attrition. Hamas has shot off hundreds of rockets (including one that landed a few kilometers from me up north in Zichron Yaakov while I had lunch there yesterday) without causing a single injury. Iron Dome has worked brilliantly. Traffic was a bit lighter than normal last night, but there wasn’t a free table at any of

STARKE – Florida prison officials today executed a man convicted of the 1994 rape and slaying of an 11-year-old girl. It was the state’s sixth execution this year. Eddie Wayne Davis was executed by injection at Florida State Prison at 6:43 p.m. Davis declined to say any final words before his sentence was carried out. Executioners put the IV needle into Davis’ left arm around 6:30 p.m. Davis began muttering to himself after the process began, but witnesses in the viewing area couldn’t hear what he was saying because the speakers had been turned off. Davis’ chest heaved up and

A farmer in Boise, Idaho once compared the difference between the attack methods of a pack of wolves and a mountain lion. (Snip) So far, as Bryan Preston notes, Obama has been laughing it off. Laughing off the IRS, NSA, Benghazi, Iraq, Afghanistan, Obamacare and border scandals. Ha-ha-ha. Ho-ho-ho. Washington Post columnist Jackson Diehl recently observed, “The Obama administration has developed a bad habit of founding its Middle East strategies on wishful thinking.” “Wishful thinking” is kind. Delusions of grandeur from the man who promised he had the power to make oceans recede, the authority to bring prosperity and equality to all, and the unique ability to cause peace the world over is more accurate. And so it is that Obama took to the pages of Ha’aretz, Israel’s equivalent of the New York Times (if not worse) in its left-leaning, progressive ideology and penned an article titled “Peace is the

The sad thing about many high school English literature readings is they are assigned too early in life for many students to fully appreciate. Despite fiery statements issued by Hamas spokesmen over the past 48 hours, it was obvious Tuesday night that the Islamist movement was searching for ways to rid itself of the current escalation. Hamas feels that it has been forced into a confrontation with Israel – one that it did not want at this stage because of its increased isolation and financial crisis. The massive Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours have surprised Hamas and other Palestinian groups. Hamas apparently expected a limited response to the recent rocket attacks on Israeli cities and towns. But as the
