As many as 75 scientists working in U.S. federal government laboratories in Atlanta may have been exposed to live anthrax bacteria and are being offered treatment to prevent infection, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Thursday. The potential exposure occurred after researchers working in a high-level biosecurity laboratory at the agency´s Atlanta campus failed to follow proper procedures to inactivate the bacteria. They then transferred the samples, which may have contained live bacteria, to lower-security CDC labs not equipped to handle live anthrax. Discipline these fakers. And discipline those responsible for the email deletions at the IRS. Neither should have happened but did.

"Government scientists" conjures up images of an evil scientist giggling as he releases the killer biological agents into the air conditioning ducts at the Fox Networks main office. Which is just upwind from Congress and the White House. (The Fox Main Office was evacuated yesterday and all the windows opened because of a sewer backup on the third floor that seeped down throughout the building.)

Reminds one of the old "Get Smart" TV series where Smart and ´the cheif´ introduce themselves as government agents. The Chief introduces himself boldly and with authority where Maxwell Smart fumbles with his wallet, drops it repeatedly all while the Chief is in consultation with a witness. Just when the Chief concludes his business with the witness Maxwell Smart finally presents his badge and in his whiny weird voice proclaims "That´s right! Government Agents!" Hysterical. Have not been able to find this on YouTube. If anyone can find this sound bite let me know.
