Rep. Kevin McCarthy
Elected New GOP Leader

National Journal, by Tim Alberta*

House Republicans on Thursday elected Kevin McCarthy as their new majority leader, elevating the 49-year-old Californian to the No. 2 position in GOP leadership and triggering a subsequent contest to replace him as majority whip. McCarthy defeated Rep. Raul Labrador in the race to replace Eric Cantor, whose shocking primary loss last Tuesday set the stage for Thursday´s secret-ballot special election. Republicans will now choose between three candidates vying to replace McCarthy as whip: Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana, who chairs the Republican Study Committee; Rep. Peter Roskam of Illinois, currently the chief deputy whip; and Rep. Marlin Stutzman of Indiana, a

They fight tooth and nail against conservatives not Democrats. They are nit going to change. That´s ok. We won a huge victory in knocking off Cantor. Cochran is probably about to lose too. Re 2 and 3
From Kevin´s website.
Immigration
"As a nation founded by immigrants, we should to continue embrace the individuals who wait in line and come to the United States legally to work hard and contribute to our society. However, we should not provide any amnesty that would benefit those who defy our laws and enter the United States illegally. In order to reduce the number of illegal immigrants in our country, we must enforce the laws that already exist. In order to do this, we must secure our border by using both physical as well as electronic barriers. We should also ensure that illegal immigrants are not receiving any of the benefits that are reserved for American Citizens."
Let´s not prejudge.
Cantor is still there until July 1, then 12 days and elections.
After that new elections.
Give him and the Republican Party a chance to prove they have learned the Cantor lessons:
No amnesty
No Crony Capitalists
Listen to your Constituents.

The Senate is more difficult, but House leaders can be defeated at the polls. Boehner, McCarthy, and the Whip (assuming that another RINO will be elected to that position). Just vote them out in NOvember. Yes, even if that means voting for the Democrat, as repugnant as that may be. We must deal with the GOP before we can do anything about the Democrats. That will send a message they cannot ignore: straighten up, or ship out.

If you have plenty of money, like many Moderates on here, you will be just fine no matter who runs the Country. If you are a regular Joe then it is past time to go it alone and look out for number one. If you do not understand this now, you will soon. House Speaker John Boehner announced Wednesday he plans to file suit against President Obama over his alleged abuse of executive power. The speaker had been weighing such a lawsuit in recent days, over concerns that Obama exceeded his constitutional authority with executive actions. The lawsuit has not yet been filed. But asked Wednesday whether he intended to proceed, Boehner said: "I am." The decision to sue would still have to be formally approved by a group of House leaders. First of all, figures that look good “on average,” often mask extremely wide differences across age groups. Secondly, it’s hard to find pre-ACA policies that are comparable to the policies available post-ACA. (Snip) These differences are shown by two recent reports with sharply different implications. The government’s report shows that federal tax credits make health insurance premiums more affordable for everyone.
