Washington Still Ordering Border

Breitbart Texas, by Kristin Tate

Thousands of illegal immigrants--mostly from Central America--have overwhelmed U.S. resources and facilities. Amid what has been labeled a "humanitarian crisis," Border Patrol agents and spokespeople outside of Washington, D.C. have been ordered not to provide any information regarding the situation. When asked about the status of the thousands of children who have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally this year, Tucson Border Patrol spokesman Bryan Flowers told Breitbart Texas that due to orders from Washington, D.C. "we cannot give out those details." Flower said that anyone seeking details on the recent spike in illegal immigration must speak to a representative in D.C. "For

We need to pass a law in the Texas Legislature special session to automatically hire into the Texas DPS any U.S. Border Patrol officers fired for speaking out.

Congress in dark on counterterror plan

Members of Congress need to pay attention when President Obama delivers a speech: He could be urging support for an initiative they’ve never heard of. During a commencement address to West Point cadets last month, Mr. Obama called on Congress to fund a new $5 billion counterterrorism plan to “train, build capacity and facilitate partner countries on the front lines” of the war on terror. (Snip) The staff for the Senate Armed Services Committee, chaired by Sen. Carl Levin, Michigan Democrat, has yet to be briefed by or receive details from the White House about the new initiative. A Hillary Clinton donor who serves as dean of the University of Arkansas libraries has banned the Washington Free Beacon from the school’s special collections archives, after the news outlet published revealing stories about Hillary Clinton based on documents available at the university library. The ban came days after the Free Beacon ran a story about Clinton’s 1975 defense of a child rapist that drew from audio recordings available at the University of Arkansas library’s special collections archives. However, the ban was not mentioned in a June 16 email to this reporter from Steve Voorhies, manager of media relations at the university. “Congratulations

Can anything slow the steady and persistent rise in President Obama´s disapproval rating? It doesn´t seem that way, especially as scandals involving the Department of Veterans Affairs, Internal Revenue Service and the White House´s decision to swap Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who may have deserted his post in Afghanistan in 2009, continue to dog the Obama administration and raise questions about whether the president is a competent leader. In fact, according to the latest polling data from Gallup, President Obama´s disapproval rating has increased to 55 percent, up from its previous posting of 54 percent.

WASHINGTON – A House committee report maintains that the rhetoric used by President Obama in disparaging the nation’s campaign finance system impelled the Internal Revenue Service to undertake an extensive review of the tax status of conservative groups. The report compiled by the staff of the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee, “How Politics Led the IRS to Target Conservative Tax-Exempt Applicants for their Political Beliefs,” claims the president’s use of the “bully pulpit” led the IRS to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, leading to often lengthy delays in the process. According to the report, Obama’s public blistering of the U.S.

Arizona Republican Rep. In late May the Hill ran a story titled “Is it Ted Cruz’s Texas now?” Not only had Cruz endorsed a winner in a GOP primary that day, but more importantly, the Hill noted that upstarts and insurgent challengers for state offices who beat establishment favorites or incumbents were following Cruz’s playbook. WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Patent Office ruled Wednesday that the Washington Redskins nickname is "disparaging of Native Americans" and that the team´s federal trademarks for the name must be canceled. The 2-1 ruling comes after a campaign to change the name has gained momentum over the past year. The team doesn´t immediately lose trademark protection and is allowed to retain it during an appeal. Redskins owner Daniel Snyder has refused to change the team´s name, citing tradition, but there has been growing pressure including statements in recent months from President Barack Obama, lawmakers of both parties and civil rights groups.

In what some see as the first step to forcing the Washington Redskins football team to change their name, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Wednesday cancelled six federal trademarks of the team name because it´s “disparaging” to Native Americans. “Petitioners have shown by a preponderance of the evidence that a substantial composite of Native Americans found the term REDSKINS to be disparaging,” said the decision. Fans, however, won’t see any immediate change — even if Daniel Snyder’s team eventually loses in court. That’s because all the order will do is eliminate the trademark the team has on merchandise. The Redskins are expected to appeal.
