Exxon carries out major
evacuation from Iraq - oil official

Reuters, by Aref Mohammed & William Hardy

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 6/19/2014 11:36:39 AM

The head of Iraq’s state-run South Oil Company Dhiya Jaffar said on Wednesday that Exxon Mobil has carried out a “major evacuation” of their staff and BP had evacuated 20 percent of its staff. He said ENI, Schlumberger, Weatherford, and Baker Hughes had no plans to evacuate staff from Iraq following the lightning advance of Sunni militants through the country. The companies, which are based in southern Iraq where the government is still in firm control, were not immediately available for comment. “This message is not satisfactory for us. We are not convinced the work should not be done remotely.

Comments:
When I read stories like this my blood pressure spikes because that radical Marxist Obama doesn´t allow the XL pipeline, cuts drilling and won´t issue permits for drilling, etc. and instead focuses on the fraudulent green energy. We should be complete energy independent!!

Former Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer apparently doesn’t think Southern men are manly. Following Virginia Rep. Eric Cantor’s stunning loss last week, Mr. Schweitzer initial response, according to a profile in The National Journal, was, “men in the South, they are a little effeminate.” “They just have effeminate mannerisms,” Mr. Schweitzer said. “If you were just a regular person, you turned on the TV, and you saw Eric Cantor talking, I would say—and I’m fine with gay people, that’s all right—but my gaydar is 60-70 percent.” “But he’s not, I think, so I don’t know. In an ad posted on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce´s YouTube page on Wednesday, former NFL quarterback Brett Favre, a product of the coastal town of Kiln, MS that played college ball at the University of Southern Mississippi, came out to support incumbent Sen. And when it comes to our state’s future, trust me: Mississippi can win and win big with Thad Cochran,” Favre said. “Thad Cochran always delivers, just like he did during Katrina." Senate Republicans will shine a spotlight on Obamacare’s early stumbles Thursday with a report that divulges new details about warning signs that surfaced before HealthCare.gov’s failed launch. The report collects congressional testimony and inter-agency emails to portray the Obama administration as rudderless and ignorant of red flags raised by outside experts and auditors who scrutinized the federal website that linked consumers in 36 states with private health plans. “Both metaphorically and factually, the website was designed to be the public face of President Obama’s signature achievement,” the report says. “However, the Obama administration failed to task any one individual or

Two men have been arrested in Texas and separately charged with terror-related offenses after federal agents said they planned to travel halfway around the world to engage in violent jihad. One of the men, a Bangladesh-born U.S. citizen named Rahatul Ashikim Khan, allegedly wanted to join al-Shabab, a Somalia-based terror group linked to al Qaeda. For the other, Michael Todd Wolfe from Houston, learning to fight in Syria was allegedly the goal. According to charging documents, Wolfe’s wife met an undercover FBI agent in August 2013 and told the agent she and her husband wanted to “perform a violent form of jihad”

As news breaks of an arrest in the attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi that killed, among others, Ambassador Christopher Stevens, questions continue to surface regarding those responsible for investigating the incident. Of particular note is House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Mike Rogers. On Tuesday, Judicial Watch´s Micah Morrison questioned whether Rogers had a deliberate impact on keeping Congress at bay when investigating the attack on the Benghazi consulate due to his connections to the private contracting industry. Rogers, a Republican, has earned his share of ire from the civil libertarian far-left; Glenn Greenwald once described him in typical

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Patent Office ruled Wednesday that the Washington Redskins nickname is "disparaging of Native Americans" and that the team´s federal trademarks for the name must be canceled. The 2-1 ruling comes after a campaign to change the name has gained momentum over the past year. The team doesn´t immediately lose trademark protection and is allowed to retain it during an appeal. Redskins owner Daniel Snyder has refused to change the team´s name, citing tradition, but there has been growing pressure including statements in recent months from President Barack Obama, lawmakers of both parties and civil rights groups.

In what some see as the first step to forcing the Washington Redskins football team to change their name, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Wednesday cancelled six federal trademarks of the team name because it´s “disparaging” to Native Americans. “Petitioners have shown by a preponderance of the evidence that a substantial composite of Native Americans found the term REDSKINS to be disparaging,” said the decision. Fans, however, won’t see any immediate change — even if Daniel Snyder’s team eventually loses in court. That’s because all the order will do is eliminate the trademark the team has on merchandise. The Redskins are expected to appeal.

Hillary Clinton´s minions are hard at work assembling a political machine and fine tuning it for another go at the White House. Mrs. Clinton is doing her part preparing for a run as well, churning out a bland memoir about the "hard choices" she faced as secretary of state and coyly positioning herself (again) as the inevitable nominee of the party. But after the troubled beginning to her book tour, we´re beginning to see the reasons why Hillary may eventually decide to pull the plug on a 2016 presidential run. Here are five: 1) She´s just not that good at campaigning. If the last two gaffe-prone weeks have reminded us of anything about Hillary,

Yesterday, it was announced the Obama administration had moved on Sunday to arrest a Benghazi al-Qaeda leader Ahmed Abu Khattala. Many people, including Fox’s James Rosen pointed particular questions to the State Dept. about “why now”? As unbelievable as this might sound, the most likely answer has little to do with what’s currently being pondered as a motive for this administration, “squirrel”. The reality is within the Bergdahl deal, and the GITMO-5 to Qatar, there is a far more likely reason.Ahmed Abu Khattala is directly connected to the covert transfer of U.S. arms from Qatar to Libya in the initial 2011

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin blasted the Republican establishment on Tuesday for spending more time trying to tear down Mississippi conservative Senate candidate Chris McDaniel than combating President Barack Obama´s lawlessness at home and incompetence abroad. Days before the Mississippi runoff, establishment Republicans have been trying to save incumbent Sen. Palin said that if "the national GOP machine spent as much time fighting President Obama´s disastrous and

Hillary Clinton — the woman assumed to be the next Democratic Party presidential nominee and quite possibly the next president — is evidently a big snooze. According to Mediate, her interviews to promote her book on CNN and Fox had underwhelming numbers. In the case of Greta Van Susteren’s show, she sent people fleeing midway. More importantly, her book itself is a sales disappointment and, I would wager, even more disappointing if you could ascertain how many who did buy it read actually past page 15. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was in single digits. No, I haven’t read it
