A high school student in Connecticut has asked the Board of Education to look into the blocking of conservative and Chrstian websites by his school. Eighteen year old Adam Lampart found that he could access pro-gun control sites but not the NRA. He also discovered that the state GOP website was blocked while the Democratic party page was available. The censorship also included blocking Christian sites but not Muslim ones.(snip) “And I went over on sites such as Moms Demand Action or Newtown Action Alliance, and I could get on these websites but not the others.”

Schools blocking websites results in all sorts of bizarre results. Usually the kids know how to get around the blocking software. Most use their phones to access the web. While this does seem wrong it is entirely possible it is an unintended consequence. One school I worked at blocked all content that contained the word "breast" (but not pictures) . . . this made research on breast cancer impossible. Another time a "helpful" assistant demonstrated to a superintendent how you could use a search engine to find pornography and he ordered search engines to be blocked.

The only "follow up" action this student can expect from this school board is retaliation. Hope he has no plans for graduation or college.

Now you have hit on exactly how Libs prosecute their agenda. Way past time to shut them all down, fire them and make it impossible for them to recover.

Perhaps J. B. Martin´s comment about asses and free speech should be closely observed. A shame she failed to see anything in Brat He won, with/without her as so many others saw something ´there´. Hopefuly JB was distracted by other items on agenda and will speak louder when spoke to...but only after a study of the facts.

A Health and Human Services official refused to allow a member of Congress to enter a facility in his district where some of the unaccompanied immigrant children are being housed. Representative Jim Bridenstine (R., Okla.) was told he could schedule an appointment for July 21. ““What are they trying to hide?” Bridenstine said after the incident. ”Do they not want the children to speak with Members of Congress? As a Navy pilot, I have been involved in operations countering illicit human trafficking. I would like to know to whom these children are being released.”

Obama´s Anti-Media Tantrums

President Barack Obama treats the press like a spoiled child treats his parents. Despite the pampering, he just keeps complaining about them until he gets his way. As America tires of his inflated sense of self-importance while the economy limps and his foreign policy crumbles, Obama travels around the country complaining that the mean old media aren´t complimentary enough. At an event with big donors in May in Chicago, Obama lamented that he — the very essence of reason and nonpartisanship — is lumped in with a fanatical Congress in a tale of gridlocked Washington.

Secretary of State John Kerry, speaking in Panama Tuesday, said the tens of thousands of children flooding into the United States are a challenge not only for this country, but also for the Central American countries from which they are departing. "This is a very complicated issue, and it´s not a question of assigning blame. The only people to blame are the criminals who exploit young children," Kerry said. Kerry warned that the children "are at enormous risk for their lives" in making the journey, but he also said he understands why they are heading to the USA:

Gun manufacturers are leaving the Northeast in droves, seeking out new production homes in the comparatively low-tax, Second Amendment-friendly South — and at a time when firearms sales have skyrocketed, industry data showed. “Everybody who is looking to expand in new factory space is looking outside the Northeast,” said Brian Ruttenbur, an analyst with CRT Capital Group, in Reuters. “The reasons are taxes, labor and laws.” One of the latest is PTR Industries Inc., a firearms maker that was based in Connecticut but left for South Carolina in the wake of hefty regulations that legislators enacted after the Newtown school

Mr. Beck came in at No. 39, between musical performer Pharrell Williams and NFL quarterback Peyton Manning, Politico reported. Forbes’ cited Mr. Beck with $90 million in earnings. Mr. Limbaugh, meanwhile, hit the list with $66 million in earnings at No. 59, right behind celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and right before Jon Stewart of “The Daily Show.”

“I’m ready for Hillary,” read the bumper stickers in fashionable Georgetown, the swankIest part of Washington, D.C. These messages are juxtaposed with many a tattered “2012” bumper sticker with the fading Obama logo. Are these plugged-in liberals telling us their dream has faded, too? The never-quite-retiring Barbara Walters spoke to their disillusion when she wistfully sighed: “We thought he was going to be the new Messiah.” So, buoyed by public opinion polls showing her the most popular politician in America, Hillary Clinton launched her latest “listening tour” with a new book. It was supposed to be a non-campaign rollout.

Isis is not al-Qaida. And if this American president wants to avoid rushing into another disaster fueled by misinformation, he´ll seek authorization from politicians - and you. In his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech four-and-half years ago, when the United States was still fighting George W Bush´s battles against al-Qaida, Barack Obama spoke not so much about peace as the necessity of sometimes going to war. "Evil does exist in the world," Obama remarked. "A nonviolent movement could not have halted Hitler´s armies. Negotiations cannot convince al-Qaida´s leaders to lay down their arms."

In a letter to Congress, the president said American troops will be returning to Iraq only three years after they left and their deployment began on Sunday. Obama said that their only purpose will be to protect U.S. personnel and the embassy in Baghdad – and not to join in the fierce fighting raging outside the Iraqi capital. The White House on Tuesday formally requested $3.7 billion in emergency funding from Congress to deal with an influx of Central American minors along the southern border. But the proposal was quickly met with broad skepticism among Republican lawmakers, who were doubtful that the package would be approved quickly — if at all. Administration officials said the request is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at building more detention centers, adding immigration judges, and beefing up border patrols and air surveillance. President Obama has said he hopes such steps will both speed deportations and discourage adults from sending children on

Despite fiery statements issued by Hamas spokesmen over the past 48 hours, it was obvious Tuesday night that the Islamist movement was searching for ways to rid itself of the current escalation. Hamas feels that it has been forced into a confrontation with Israel – one that it did not want at this stage because of its increased isolation and financial crisis. The massive Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours have surprised Hamas and other Palestinian groups. Hamas apparently expected a limited response to the recent rocket attacks on Israeli cities and towns. But as the

Starting next week, House Republicans will launch a highly visible—and likely tumultuous—three-week process of bringing to the floor legislation to authorize their promised lawsuit against President Obama over his use of executive actions. "In theory, you could report out a resolution tomorrow and vote on it," said a House GOP aide on Tuesday. "But that is not the approach [the leaders] want to take." Rather, the aim is to display—if not actually engage in—a more deliberative process, even if amid controversy. This drawn-out script builds toward a potentially dramatic floor vote held just days, or even hours, before the House adjourns on

WASHINGTON — Congressional Democrats said Tuesday that they had developed legislation to override the Supreme Court decision on contraceptives. The bill would ensure that women have access to coverage for birth control even if they work for businesses that have religious objections. The bill, developed in consultation with the Obama administration, would require for-profit corporations like Hobby Lobby Stores to provide and pay for contraceptive coverage, along with other preventive services, under the Affordable Care Act. The measure could be on the Senate floor as early as next week, Senate Democrats said. “Your health care decisions are not your boss’s

Fate hasn´t been kind to Hillary Clinton, at least not in its most recent phase. In 2008, when the plate was set for the national Democrats, she lost the nomination to Barack Obama, of scant years and no gravitas, who soared out of nowhere to wrench destiny from her on the unspecified promise of "change." Now, "change" has come, and people don´t like it. Iraq changed from a safe, stable ally (just ask Obama) to a terrorist haven, one of the reasons why, though no fellow Democrats seem likely to edge her, her chances of winning the White House seem dim. In fact, Obama thinks programs like DACA and a comprehensive amnesty bill are ways to solve the border crisis. Addressing the press Wednesday after meeting with Texas Governor Rick Perry to discuss the border crisis in Dallas, Obama, when asked if programs like DACA have caused or contributed to the crisis,
