5 Reasons Hillary Won´t Run
Real Clear Politics, by Tom Bevan

Original Article

Hillary Clinton´s minions are hard at work assembling a political machine and fine tuning it for another go at the White House. Mrs. Clinton is doing her part preparing for a run as well, churning out a bland memoir about the "hard choices" she faced as secretary of state and coyly positioning herself (again) as the inevitable nominee of the party. But after the troubled beginning to her book tour, we´re beginning to see the reasons why Hillary may eventually decide to pull the plug on a 2016 presidential run. Here are five: 1) She´s just not that good at campaigning. If the last two gaffe-prone weeks have reminded us of anything about Hillary,

Good stuff here. But author misses a couple of things: Hillary may be too stupid to think she can lose. And Bubba will egg her on until she drops.

Reason 4) -- Obama is leaving a mess -- is the one reason she made opt out of 2016, but I´m not holding my breath.

If she doesn´t run, who on earth can save us from the Vast Rightwing Conspiracy?! We need The Smart Woman, who also cares about the children, to be the new commander in chief in America´s war against its bitter clingers. Run, Ms. Alinsky, run!

It might be good if she does run: she´ll make a very nice political target for slings/arrows and will suck up all the oxygen in the race, diminishing other democrats´ chances who might have a way better chance at winning the presidency than she could ever dream. The hecklers will abound(like me) and she is going to be busy, busy, busy explaining Benghazi. It will be her Scarlet Letter and well deserved at that.

I saw something unusual a short time ago... NBC Today show running a rather negative piece about Hillary´s waning popularity. Looks like ABC and NPR aren´t the only ones doing target practice.

My question is: Who´s authorizing the takedown of Hillary?

She won´t run unless she´s 100% sure she will win. She has a history of making gigantic strategic errors. Her recent media blitz is the latest example. She thought she could use the book tour to tightly control her public appearances, but forgot to consider the consequence of overexposure---which only magnified her lies, evasiveness, blaming others, hostility, and defensiveness.
A Hillary Surge like this was bound to backfire. I´m hoping she´ll do herself in with continued strategic miscalculations.

Reason #6: She is beginning to see that her own party no longer really wants her.

It´s really an amazing turnaround that has developed. Once fawning sycophants in the liberal media and assorted leftist groups are actually questioning and criticizing her at long last. God works in strange ways. It looks more and more like she´s going to choose "granny time" as her next career.

FTA "Especially when she can burnish her legacy with meaningful work through the Clinton Global Foundation"

What legacy is Tom talking about? Getting a rapist of a 12 year old girl off, getting thrown off the the Nixon impeachment investigation, attacking women Bill assaulted, obstructing the Whitewater investigation, letting 4 Americans die at Benghazi, that legacy?

Hillary poses a nightmare dilemma for Liberals. She is a politician who cannot be denied the nomination if she wants it and cannot win if she gets it. That is why the sudden flood of negative articles. True blue sycophants like Sawyer asking "tough" questions etc. IMO the sixth reason is that the Presidential discovery process will bring to bear powerful forces that will throw light on the many skeletons rattling in her closet. She could lose and that uncovered information will still be there with no means to suppress it.
Its a risk the Clintons are unlikely to take.

She can´t ´not run´. She feels it is her destiny, plus she has a lot of built-up anger, bitterness, hatred and she has a lot of scores to settle.

One problem is that she is not likeable in any way, and has no sense of humor about herself or anything, for that matter.

Another is her intense hatred for the press, even the [ordinarily] very friendly MSM folks. As the article states, she was no doubt momentarily thrown for a loop when Gross of NPR and Sawyer of ABC started pressing her with uncomfortable questions. In my mind, all that did was add two more names to the Hillary Enemies List, a list that Nixon would envy!

The Hillary of 2008 was an outstanding, energetic, populist candidate who ran into an unstoppable force in Obama and came up short. The Hillary of today seems exhausted, mentally and physically, not to mention bruised from Benghazi; it won´t be a cakewalk for her this time, even if the Dems clear the field for her.

Where was that when Obammy was running. Did it work? It didn´t happen at all for "The Won".

The Presidential discovery process is only for Republicans.

What I´m curious about is why many or all of these people persist at being in or running for office or government "service".

With all of their money and fortunes, why don´t they just retire and go away and live a life of leisure and luxury?

What is it? Ego? Ego greed? Ego lust?

Why are Kerry, Gore, Bubba still out there?

Why don´t they retire and go away and leave us all alone to our work and struggle to survive?

Me, I get to 10 or 100 million net worth and I´m outta here. Fancy restaurants, private jets or first class travel and hotels, here I come. Why don´t those fools do this?

IMHO, Hillary will run. I can´t get what Barbara Olsen wrote in her book "Hell to Pay" when she heard Hillary make the statement "I want to run something". And as yet, she has NOT been the head honcho anywhere or for anything. You can bet the farm that that fire still burns inside her. And I think that is why she left the Senate and took the Sec. of State job. She thought it would burnish her foreign policy credentials. And if just might for the lo-fo´s. They won´t be able to think past the statement that "well she was SOS so she must know all about foreign policy". They won´t be able to see just what a disaster it was. I really fear for this country IF, by some way, that she is elected to POTUS. If that happens, the U.S.A. will disappear from the world scene.

#23 -- Why don´t they retire to lives of luxury? Because once the money´s in hand, the next drug is power.

For some, the ability to control other people´s lives, while remaining the perpetual center of public attention, is an addiction like no other.

Pair it with the conviction that you know what´s best for everyone else and deserve all of the perks of office, and you´ve got 90% of the country´s politicians.

Bill is desperate for her to run. It´s the only reason he pretends to be her husband. If she´s physically able she runs. She may not win, but she runs. If Warren runs it will be the type of bloodbath that could really hurt the Dems. I´m all in for Hillary and Lizzie! Let´s go ladies, there´s lots of mud over here.

Bill failed to hand the nation over and Obe is blowing the opportunity so what makes anyone of the progressives and wailers believe Hillary can after her Sec. State bungle?
Hillary will get the blame.
I still do not agree that Bill wants her in the presidency because her revenge will begin with him if she grabs that power.

A huge question in Democratic politics - other than “When is Hillary going to announce?” - concerns whether or not Senator Elizabeth Warren (D – Cherokee Nation) will run for president. If Hillary does not run, it is almost certain that Warren will. Well-known for her populist and Occupy-esque perspectives on healthcare, taxes, income redistribution and everything in-between, she is one of the rising stars of the Democratic party. Anticipating that it could happen, we’re getting out in front and establish her as a storyteller, to put it nicely, about her wealth.

Last year, fewer than 2,000 children were returned home to their native countries. Only 1 in 45 illegal alien children will be returned home. One side effect from the chaos in Libya following the armed conflict in 2011 has been constant disruptions of the country’s considerable supplies to the global oil market. But while its output remains just a fraction of what it was under Qaddafi, it does seem to be rebounding recently, as Bloomberg reports: Libya pumped 300,000 barrels a day in June, down 73 percent from a year earlier, according to a Bloomberg survey of oil companies, producers and analysts. What is happening at the southern border is a true and actual crisis. News accounts justly use words like chaos, collapse and breakdown. They feature images of children—toddlers, 4- and 5-year-olds—being shuffled to warehouse holding centers, sleeping crowded at night on what look like pallets, covered only in Mylar blankets. "I never thought we´d have refugee camps in America," said Texas Sen. John Cornyn, "but that´s what it´s appearing." All this gives normal people a feeling of besiegement and foreboding. Lives at the eatery are infamously long, and have been known to stretch as long as three hours wait. But Mr Obama did no waiting today, as he showed up at the restaurant, shook a few hands and made his way straight to the register to order more than $300 worth of meat. ´I know this is a long line. I feel real bad, but – I’m gonna

Bears, beer and horse heads: What exactly is going on with the leader of the free world? On a single day this week in Denver, President Obama scarfed down pizza and drinks with strangers, shot pool with Colorado’s governor and shook hands with a guy on the street wearing a horse mask. His top staffers are promoting these stops on Twitter with the hashtag #TheBearIsLoose — a term one of Obama’s aides coined in 2008 when the candidate would defy his schedule. More than five years into his presidency, Obama is trying to free himself from the constraints of office,

Thursday at her weekly briefing, House Minority Leader Rep Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was asked why when she was Speaker of the House she did not move forward on the requests of her members to impeach then-President George W. Bush over the arguments his administration made for entering into war with Iraq in 2003. Pelosi accused Bush of being guilty of impeachable offense saying he "sent us into a war based on a false representation of the treat of weapons of mass destruction." But she added after the "shameful, irresponsible an wrong" attempted impeachment of President Bill Clinton she "did not want

It’s true what they say about Michelle Obama. She has amazing arms. I saw this up close when she unfurled her bare right limb in front of me Thursday night, while the two of us were doing tapas at the jumping Barcelona on 14th Street NW. Clearly the first lady works out, clearly she moisturizes and clearly L’Oréal should hire her as its pitchwoman after she leaves 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. “Ma’am, you rock,” I wanted to tell her, even though I was seated a table away from her party of eight, which included White House chef Sam Kass, and was

Not counting instances when he quoted a letter from a citizen or cited dialogue from a movie, President Barack Obama used the first person singular--including the pronouns "I" and "me" and the adjective "my"--199 times in a speech he delivered Thursday vowing to use unilateral executive action to achieve his policy goals that Congress would not enact through the normal, constitutional legislative process. “It is lonely, me just doing stuff,” Obama said at the speech in Austin, Texas, according to the official transcript and video posted on the White House website. “I’m just telling the truth now,” Obama told the

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) yesterday described herself as a “lioness” when it comes to protecting children. She also called not only for the U.S. government to process minors arriving illegally from Central America on a “case-by-case basis" but for the government to “treat the Mexican kids the way they treat the non-contiguous country kids.” “Quite frankly, I would rather they treat the Mexican kids the way they treat the non-contiguous country kids,” Pelosi said at a Capitol Hill press conference on Thursday, claiming that sending these children back to their home countries would be like “sending them back into a

SAN DIEGO - The family that drew national attention when they were rescued at sea off their sailboat, Rebel Heart, in April is finally setting the record straight. Charlotte and Eric Kaufman and their two daughters were about 1,000 miles west of Cabo San Lucas in the Sea of Cortez when 1-year old Lyra became sick. That was when their adventure of a lifetime turned into a nightmare. It began with a fever, then a rash and then Lyra became lethargic. That was when the couple used their satellite cell phone to call a doctor. He advised them to begin treating Lyra

Unlike many of his Republican colleagues, Karl Rove advocated Thursday for bipartisan compromise on immigration. “Republicans have to look at this as an opportunity that they have to work,” the Republican strategist said on the Fox News program “Happening Now.” “It’s an opportunity to get some things done to help secure the border.” He suggested that in working with President Barack Obama’s $3.7 billion request for additional funds to deal with the current immigration crisis, Republicans could make policy gains like increasing the amount of border patrols. “They ought to sit down in good faith,” he said of Republicans and the

Glenn Beck has set up Mercury One Children and Family Border Relief Fund to help illegals coming into the United States. He’s already raised $600,000. Beck stated that Obama would not have to step in and ask for $3.7 billion if private charities would pick up the slack and give to the swarm of illegals crossing the border. Is he kidding? Do we really need more churches and non-profits enabling this blatant attack on America? Rich people and liberal elite billionaires have no skin in the game when it comes to the consequences of illegal immigration so what do they care? It’s the working class and middle class who will take the hit.
