Mapping Chick-fil-A Nation
Washington Post, by Reid Wilson

Original Article

Over at The New York Times, Ashley Parker and Jonathan Martin take a look at the Chick-fil-A belt, an area covering thousands of miles of Southern suburbs and exurbs where new residents have little connection to the politics of the past. That hurts incumbents like Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) and Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.), who could once count on the projects and federal money they brought home to their states for political points. The newly built communities where these new residents live — Parker and Martin point to DeSoto County, Miss., and Henrico, Hanover and Chesterfield Counties, Va. — are

I´ve never had a bad experience in one of these establishments: clean, well-maintained facilities with unfailingly polite staff..and a good sandwich with quality ingredients. There´s something to be said for old-fashioned standards.

Chick-fil-A being the symbolic opposite of embracing homosexual marriage.

Liberalism is indeed a mental illness.

BTW, Chick-fil-A is a great fast food place, in a league of its own, not even close to McD´s or other greasy burger chains.

There are also Chick Fil A´s in IL. The one I go to has great service, polite associates and what you want in a restaurant. For the liberals, it has diversity in the staff and I beleive there was even a homosexual associate who did not mind working there. CFA is the model fast food restaurant for the entire political spectrum.

Hobby Lobby stunner: Supreme
Court issues long-awaited
ruling in birth-control dispute

The administration cannot force closely held private corporations to pay for contraception in their health insurance plans if it violates their religious beliefs, a divided Supreme Court ruled Monday, dealing a political and logistical setback to President Obama’s signature law. Justices ruled that a 20-year-old federal law, passed overwhelmingly and signed by President Clinton to protect freedom of religion, trumped the president’s desire to have contraception paid for by employers. But the court welcomed the administration to try to come up with other ways of providing birth control without imposing a burden on employers. Indeed, it was just such a

President Obama suffered two final defeats in the Supreme Court on Monday, capping a 2013-2014 term in which the justices delivered several judicial hits to the White House while taking a firm stand against the unchecked power of the state. The administration’s losses on Obamacare rules and compulsory union dues served as a rebuke on the Supreme Court’s final day after months of judicial decisions to rein in big government on issues such as snooping without a warrant, campaign finance restrictions and Mr. Obama’s recess appointment powers. Just as damning was the way the court ruled in some of those

Today, the Supreme Court ruled in the nationally followed Hobby Lobby case. The for-profit corporations that brought these cases to the Supreme Court—a craft store and a cabinet manufacturer—argued that the corporations’ religious convictions should excuse them from compensating their employees through the comprehensive health insurance required by law. Specifically, these private employers sought to exclude insurance coverage of several forms of birth control because, contrary to medical and scientific evidence, the corporations’ owners believe some birth control causes abortions. The Affordable Care Act already includes special arrangements for houses of worship and religious non-profits, like schools and hospitals. Houses

The Left is foaming at the mouth over the Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby decision this morning. “This is going to turn the dial back,” Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz warned on MSNBC. The Democratic party’s national chairwoman added: “Republicans want to do everything they can to have the long hand of government, and now the long hand of business, reach into a woman’s body and make health care decisions for her.” “Today’s Supreme Court decision unfortunately jeopardizes basic healthcare coverage and access to contraception for a countless number of women,” said Democratic senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire. BAGHDAD — The extremist group battling its way through swaths of Iraq and Syria declared the creation of a formal Islamic state Sunday, building on its recent military gains and laying down an ambitious challenge to al-Qaeda’s established leadership. In an audio statement posted on the Internet, the spokesman for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria announced the restoration of the 7th-century Islamic caliphate, a long-declared goal of the al-Qaeda renegades who broke with the mainstream organization early this year and have since asserted control over large areas spanning the two countries. In the 2012 election cycle, Democrats rallied around a Republican “war on women” narrative that often went without effective pushback from the GOP and arguably – combined with a far more sophisticated ground game – handed them control of the Senate, if not the White House. But on Monday, former Hewlett Packard CEO and 2010 California GOP Senate nominee Carly Fiorina will launch a new super PAC to focus on both issues, Breitbart News has learned. The UP Project, which stands for "Unlocking Potential," will seek to help Republicans win back the Senate by directly confronting Democrats and their "war

Dear Secretary Clinton, Please consider this in the nature of a friendly intervention. You have a money problem. It’s time to deal with it before it gets worse. Actually, you have two money problems. The first is how you talk about it. The second is how you collect it — or, to be more precise, the fact that you’re still frenetically collecting it. Let me be clear at the outset: The issue isn’t that you’re rich, or even that you and your husband became rich after leaving office. American voters don’t have a problem with wealthy candidates or even wealthy ex-presidents

The tea party had waged wars against President Obama’s health-care plan and government spending. But in early 2012, it was beginning to sound its next battle cry, one that is now deepening the split within the Republican Party: “crony capitalism.” On the sixth floor of a Washington office building, Barney Keller, a 20-something communications director and researcher for the conservative group Club for Growth, was searching the Web for information about the Export-Import Bank. The little-known government agency provides tens of billions of dollars annually in financing to help foreign buyers purchase U.S. planes, trucks and other goods. Every few

For a panel that’s supposed to be irrecoverably partisan, the justices of the Supreme Court just did a pretty good job this week resolving divisive legal issues unanimously. On Thursday, the court settled an abortion-related free-speech case and then an executive-power question without a single dissent. This followed an important case where the justices agreed to restore lost Fourth Amendment protections for the digital age. Four years ago, President Obama planted the seeds of bitter discord with a remarkable broadside against the court in his State of the Union address. Liberal pundits dutifully followed his lead and played up disagreement

Millions of people disappear without a trace, leaving behind chaos and anarchy while a lone hero emerges to stand between mankind and the end of the world. For some, this is known as the Rapture, the preamble to the apocalypse. For Hollywood, it means a biblical blockbuster. “Jesus explicitly warned about ‘that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven,’” said Craig Detweiler, professor of communication at Pepperdine University. “But producers and directors can’t resist the temptation to speculate.” HBO on Sunday premieres its latest series, “The Leftovers,” based on the book of the same name

Facebook’s News Feed—the main list of status updates, messages, and photos you see when you open Facebook on your computer or phone—is not a perfect mirror of the world. But few users expect that Facebook would change their News Feed in order to manipulate their emotional state. We now know that’s exactly what happened two years ago. For one week in January 2012, data scientists skewed what almost 700,000 Facebook users saw when they logged into its service. Some people were shown content with a preponderance of happy and positive words; some were shown content analyzed as sadder than average.

The Keystone Pipeline project was expected to create tens of thousands of high paying jobs in the oil industry. The project itself would create 20,000 construction jobs. And the pipeline would bring oil from Canada and North Dakota to refineries in the United States. The proposed project would have extended from Alberta, Canada to Illinois, transporting approximately 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Estimated cost is $1.7 billion. But Obama rejected the plan in 2011 and 2014. Democrats are beholden to the radical green movement – the poor and middle class be damned. Now this… Canada pulled the plug on Keystone and will

Here, in another exclusive excerpt, Klein describes how Bill’s health is a preoccupation of the Clintons. A pair of black, armor-plated SUVs swung into a suburban cul-de-sac and crunched to a stop in the driveway of the Clintons’ home in Chappaqua, New York. A wall of burly Secret Service agents jumped out and surrounded the man who emerged from the lead vehicle. It was mid-summer 2013, and Bill Clinton looked shrunken and weary.

As thousands of disease-riddled criminals storm across our borders, is it really time to mince words? President Obama appears to have an Agenda for America that stinks worse than a Border Patrol bus depot crammed with urine-drenched illegals. On January 29, 2014, the Department of Homeland Security advertised for a vendor to escort 65,000 “unaccompanied alien children,” indicating that they not only knew the alien invasion was coming, they planned it.

Hillary Clinton is just too unlikable (remember that Barack Obama called her “likable enough” in one of the most memorable back handed compliments of recent political memory), and too transparently greedy, self-serving, and out of touch. Not to mention the appalling foreign affairs crises the United States faces in the wake of her term as Secretary of State. Her brand is tarnished.
