There are tens of thousands of children languishing on our southern border because Mexican drug cartels are brilliant strategists and DC politicians are excellent enablers. Nine years ago, while making BORDER, we filmed the arrests of children being smuggled across the border by drug cartel scouts (coyotes). The cartels knew that Border Patrol (BP) did not have sufficient storage capacity for family groups, especially children, so they quickly and strategically began inserting groups over the border as decoys. It worked awesomely. BP would be swamped processing the kids, while the cartels would hit the fence, simultaneously, in eight or nine different

Comments:
This article exposes the hypocrisy of John Boehner. Now we know why we haven´t heard a word from the Republicans on the disaster at the border. What happened to the opponent in Boehner´s primary is infuriating!

McCarthy, Labrador About

Majority Leader Eric Cantor was deposed in a shocking primary upset largely over his support for providing amnesty to illegal aliens brought to the U.S. as minors. However, in the campaign to replace him, anti-amnesty advocates say both candidates are largely coming from the same place Cantor was. Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Rep. Raul Labrador (R-ID) both support legalization for the undocumented immigrants already in the country and are largely in line with establishment thinking on the issue. “They are both what I would call high immigration guys. They are inclined to see the benefits of immigration, not the

GOP Rep.: House ‘Probably’ Has

A Republican congressman said in a radio interview today that the House probably has the votes to impeach President Obama, if things got so bad that impeachment became their only recourse. Congressman Lou Barletta told Gary Sutton that the issue of impeachment is an important one to address with Obama “absolutely ignoring the Constitution and ignoring the laws.” A couple of Republicans have floated the idea of impeachment and the House having enough votes for impeachment before, and Barletta’s no different, claiming there’s a good chance impeachment could pass the Republican-led House if they took a vote. “For those that

Catholic Bishop: Marriage is ‘First

In response to a federal judge’s ruling that Wisconsin’s ban on homosexual marriage was unconstitutional, Bishop Robert Morlino, head of the Catholic diocese of Madison, Wisc., said the judge had “shaken one of the most precious and essential building blocks of our civilization,” and that when this “first ‘domino’ of civilization’” – man-woman marriage – is toppled, then “all subsequent ‘dominos’” of civilization fall. The bishop also said that in felling this first domino, “everything that is good, true, and beautiful, which is rooted in the natural family, is seriously threatened.” Back on June 6, U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., told Washington Redskins President Bruce Allen he is “promoting a racial slur by retaining the team name. Reid sent a letter to Allen to reject his invitation to attend a Redskins game. Reid, whose state includes 27 Native American tribes, said he won’t reconsider the invitation until the Redskins name is dropped for a new name. The Redskins name, he said, also “disgraces the American people.” In April, Reid delivered a speech on the Senate floor calling on the NFL to put pressure on the team to change the name. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa has subpoenaed the commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service to testify next week before Congress about a trove of lost emails that could contain evidence of a plan to targeted conservative groups. Issa, R-Calif., will hold a June 23 hearing aimed at finding out more about two year´s worth of emails -- from 2009 to 2011 -- that the IRS has reported lost. The emails were from former top IRS official Lois G. Lerner to Justice Department and Treasury officials. ssa had requested the emails because he and other Republicans believe

General Motors says it needs to change or replace the keys for about 3.4 million cars because they could cause the ignition switch to move out of position if they are carrying too much weight. In a statement released Monday, GM said that the switches can rotate out of ´run´ if the key has excess weight and the car ´experiences some jarring event´, such as hitting a pothole or crossing a railroad track. That can shut off the engines and disable power steering, causing drivers to lose control. Also, the air bags won´t work. The recall affects seven cars with

A top member of Congress called on President Obama on Monday to deploy the National Guard to the southwest border to help the Border Patrol handle the surge of illegal immigrant children. Rep. Candice Miller, Michigan Republican and chairwoman of a key border security subcommittee, sent a letter saying that Border Patrol agents need to be put back on patrol duty rather than processing or babysitting for the children who have been caught trying to enter. “This diversion away from normal patrol responsibilities will result in an increase of drugs and migrants illicitly crossing our border,” she said. At any other time, the growing crisis on the Mexican border, with tens of thousands of unaccompanied young people crossing illegally into the United States, might dominate the news. Yet the situation has received less attention than it might amid the furor over House Majority Leader Eric Cantor´s primary defeat, the collapse of Iraq, the continuing Bergdahl matter, and Hillary Clinton´s book tour. They´re all genuinely important news stories, and they´ve crowded out disaster at the border. But whether or not many people noticed, this was the week in which the Obama administration´s attempts to deflect blame for the border

After the administration blundered on Benghazi, on the Arab Spring, and Syria, Heaven itself has afforded it one last chance to set itself right. In an astonishing challenge to traditional Catholic doctrine, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, nominally Catholic, has taken to telling San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone that he should not attend the National Organization for Marriage’s June 19 march on the Supreme Court in Washington D.C. Cordileone is scheduled to be a featured speaker at the event, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, which is consistent with his championing of Proposition 8 in 2008. Cordileone helped raise $1.5 million for the initiative, which intended to ban same-sex marriage in the state. He once said, "The ultimate attack of the evil one is

Top Jeb Bush adviser Mike Murphy, who did not even pay attention to Dave Brat´s campaign like Breitbart News did, has falsely been claiming that Cantor´s embrace of amnesty for illegal immigrants was not the reason he lost last Tuesday. Liberal writer Mickey Kaus had enough of Murphy´s nonsense and slammed him on Twitter on Friday evening. Kaus became Brat´s de facto press secretary and top advocate on Twitter in the last months of the campaign because Kaus, like Brat, opposes amnesty for illegal immigrants because it would hurt American workers. Bill Clinton is by far the most admired president of the past quarter century, a new poll shows, underscoring how much he has done to burnish his profile since leaving the White House in 2000. Asked which president of the past 25 years they admired most, some 42% of respondents named Mr. Clinton in the new Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Annenberg Survey. That was more than twice the share that named any other president. The other three presidents of the quarter century all polled about the same: 18% said they most admired President Barack Obama; 17% named George W. Bush; and 16%

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – It´s perhaps appropriate that President Barack Obama is vacationing this weekend in California, where the state flag features a roaming grizzly. The restless president, who has compared himself to a caged animal on recent wanderings by declaring the "bear is loose," took a long Father´s Day weekend away with his wife and older daughter. The visit to the desert resort area of Palm Springs is one of the ways Obama has been trying to escape during his sixth year cloistered in the White House. Members of Congress called on President Obama Sunday to link up with Arab allies and quell a quick-moving crisis in Iraq, where Islamic militants swept toward Baghdad and left a bloody trail in their wake. Republican lawmakers said the administration has sat on the sidelines for too long as sectarian violence threatens to undo what U.S. troops accomplished during the war in Iraq. The bloodshed spurred by militants from an al Qaeda splinter group could topple the country’s fragile government while civil war rages in neighboring Syria, they said, offering a magnet for extremists from Iran and even western nations.

Anaheim, CA - President Obama, appearing emboldened after his recent move to cut carbon emissions from coal-fired power plants, on Saturday ridiculed members of Congress who deny climate change or plead scientific ignorance as an alibi for avoiding an uncomfortable truth. Speaking in gleefully sarcastic terms to a commencement ceremony at the University of California, Irvine, Mr. Obama likened those who deny climate change to people who would have told John F.
