Donna Brazile: Ignore
Tea Party at Your Peril

Breitbart's Big Government, by Tony Lee

Original Article

Posted By:M2, 6/16/2014 8:54:31 AM

Donna Brazile, the Democrat strategist who ran Al Gore´s campaign, said Republican candidates who ignore the Tea Party do so at their peril, as House Majority Leader Eric Cantor´s (R-VA) shocking ouster proved. "The Tea Party is still highly caffeinated," she said on ABC´s This Week, acknowledging that the "Tea Party is the energy inside the Republican Party." Brazile said that Cantor ignored Tea Party conservatives who also rose up in part to protest George W. Bush´s expansion of the federal government, and he paid for it with his political career.

I guess she´s feeling quite ignored these days. Perhaps she´s not being invited to AL´s beach houses for nights of sheer boredom discussing the oceans rising and all of that tripe.

A high school student in Connecticut has asked the Board of Education to look into the blocking of conservative and Chrstian websites by his school. Eighteen year old Adam Lampart found that he could access pro-gun control sites but not the NRA. He also discovered that the state GOP website was blocked while the Democratic party page was available. The censorship also included blocking Christian sites but not Muslim ones.(snip) “And I went over on sites such as Moms Demand Action or Newtown Action Alliance, and I could get on these websites but not the others.”

“I’m ready for Hillary,” read the bumper stickers in fashionable Georgetown, the swankIest part of Washington, D.C. These messages are juxtaposed with many a tattered “2012” bumper sticker with the fading Obama logo. Are these plugged-in liberals telling us their dream has faded, too? The never-quite-retiring Barbara Walters spoke to their disillusion when she wistfully sighed: “We thought he was going to be the new Messiah.” So, buoyed by public opinion polls showing her the most popular politician in America, Hillary Clinton launched her latest “listening tour” with a new book. It was supposed to be a non-campaign rollout.

Isis is not al-Qaida. And if this American president wants to avoid rushing into another disaster fueled by misinformation, he´ll seek authorization from politicians - and you. In his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech four-and-half years ago, when the United States was still fighting George W Bush´s battles against al-Qaida, Barack Obama spoke not so much about peace as the necessity of sometimes going to war. "Evil does exist in the world," Obama remarked. "A nonviolent movement could not have halted Hitler´s armies. Negotiations cannot convince al-Qaida´s leaders to lay down their arms."

President Obama announced on Monday evening that US ground troops ´equipped for combat´ are being sent to Iraq – just days after claiming that no American soldiers would be deployed to the war-torn country. In a letter to Congress, the president said American troops will be returning to Iraq only three years after they left and their deployment began on Sunday. Obama said that their only purpose will be to protect U.S. personnel and the embassy in Baghdad – and not to join in the fierce fighting raging outside the Iraqi capital. The president did tell Congress, however, that American

President Obama was "being deceitful" when he told the American people in 2011 that the U.S. border is secure, Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) told "Fox News Sunday." "The American people understand and appreciate, given the events over the past couple of weeks, that the president was being deceitful with the American people on this. There´s a human tragedy going on the Southern border right now, and the president´s doing nothing. What did he do this weekend to correct that? He gave a hyper-partisan commencement speech and then went and played golf.

Republicans dropped a hammer on IRS Commissioner John Koskinen during a testy hearing covering the disappearance of emails tied to the agency´s tea party targeting scandal. The emails, covering the period January 2009 to April 2011, belonged to embattled former official Lois Lerner and could shed light on whether an expansive scheme to single out conservative groups for special scrutiny was guided by members of Congress or administration officials outside the IRS. ´The committee requested all of Lois Lerner’s emails over a year ago,´ said House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. ‘R-E-S-P-E-C-T,” the song goes. It is easy enough to spell, but for some vocal critics of President Barack Obama, it seems exceedingly hard to do. As the president moves toward the land of the lame ducks, his political enemies are calling for blood. That’s no shocker at this stage of a presidency. In this case, the cuts go deeper. For some, it is not enough to disagree. Some high-status public figures seem determined to demean, denigrate and ridicule the president of the United States. On June 12 the Speaker of the U.S. House stepped to a podium and insulted Obama for his handling of

Noted management expert and Internal Revenue Service Commissioner John Koskinen was apparently called out of retirement — like the Ted Williams of evasive, unapologetic bureaucrats — to destroy what is left of his agency’s credibility. At immediate issue is two years of subpoenaed e-mails from former IRS official Lois Lerner to outside agencies, lost in a convenient computer crash. The possible involvement of other agencies is one focus of a congressional investigation into the heightened IRS scrutiny of conservative nonprofit groups before the 2012 election. In recent congressional testimony, Koskinen admitted that the e-mails

There are times that I have senior moments and forget certain names and events but after the recent Obama Iraq war implosion, I´m convinced most political pundits are suffering from them as well. What is unusual is that this revision of history is being committed by conservatives who should know better. Recent commentary by Glenn Beck, George Will and Charles Krauthammer indicate that they have significant memory lapses about why we went to war in Iraq. They now suggest that it was a wrong decision whereas my complaint is that we took too long to invade and oust Saddam Hussein.

He made the remark at the end of a talk at the White House Summit on Working Families. “Somebody asked: ‘Well, it’s well-known that women are more likely to vote for Democrats,’ to which I said, women are smarter,” Obama said. “This is true.” The rest of Obama’s talk centered on paid maternity leave, a minimum wage of $10.10, flexibility in the workplace, and access to childcare. He blamed Congress for moving slowly after he asked it to raise the minimum wage and when

US Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Iraq´s capital, Baghdad as Sunni insurgents expand their control of towns across north-western Iraq. In Egypt on Sunday, Mr Kerry warned that Sunni militants Isis´ "ideology of violence and repression is a threat not only to Iraq but to the entire region". On Sunday rebels--spearheaded by Isis militants--captured border crossings to Syria and Jordan. The strategically important airport in the northern Tal Afar has also fallen. The town controls the main road from the Syrian border to Mosul, Iraq´s second biggest city, which was captured by the rebels two weeks ago.

In this case, the bear in question is President Barack Obama, who has lately been comparing his yearnings to escape the White House security bubble to an animal breaking free from his cage.
