Let Them Kill Each Other
American Thinker, by Mike Konrad

Original Article

Posted By:magnante, 6/16/2014 6:42:13 AM

I know, I know, the recent ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Levant) gains have everyone scared. No doubt, the Islamophilic administration will want to step in, and save Islam from itself once again. Let me advocate a course of action that will make sense (snip) Let the Muslims kill each other. After the administration blundered on Benghazi, on the Arab Spring, and Syria, Heaven itself has afforded it one last chance to set itself right. It is almost impossible for the administration to screw it up. All it has to do is nothing. Yes, Nothing!

Right--then when the strong come out of the conflict as emboldened terrorists even more in control of oil, money, and political geography we can just nuke what´s left of Iraq.

Good thinking-- provided they haven´t already attacked Israel which Obama will not lift a golf club to defend.

Then we´re next-- thanks for clearing this up and I now see how Obama´s true brothers in ISIS and Al Qaida will thank him for paving the way for Sharia law and control of the middle east.

Interesting scenario to contemplate. As long as they´re killing each other we´ll leave them to it. One foot outside that framework and we come down hard.
And #1, I firmly believe that Israel will act decisively in it´s own defense. I would like to hear what Bibi thinks of this article. I trust and respect him way more than our sorry excuse for a leader.

After reading through this argument, I found this particularly disturbing on several levels. First, I´ve heard this before from other pundits and various twitters about letting these people kill each other off while we keep are hands clean on the sidelines. It may make for a ´feel-good´ headline, but from a policy standpoint, I can´t think of a more wrong-headed position.

First, the author states to ´let them call Russia or China´ for help if they don´t do as we say. Yes, Maliki has messed up the country and is paying the price. But imagine, for a moment, if Russia steps in Iraq like they´ve done in Syria and Ukraine. Or worse, if China steps in. We can bury our Middle East policy, such as it is, for good and basically stand on the sidewalk with our empty cup in hand hoping Putin will toss us a few coins now and then.

Right now, we´re allowing the Iranians to come to Iraq´s assistance, which is bad enough as it is. We should have from the beginning launched air and drone strikes on everything that moves and not allow this to happen. Frankly, these terrorists have operated for too long in Fallujah and West Iraq without being driven out. Just my 2 cents on this.

I totally agree with Mr. Konrad, but with two provisos:
-Send in whatever air support, bombers, Spec Ops troops, Hellfire missiles we need to evacuate any and all Americans Iraq. Totally obliterate any opposition to this action with a massive response.
-And blow up the $ multi-billion Embassy so that ISIS doesn´t use it for PR and photo ops.

Keep some historical perspective. There have been Shia Sunni wars before. But Non-Muslims have never benefited. There is no disagreement between them about killing infidels. Sen. Graham´s warning about Iraq being the source of the next (perhaps nuclear) 9/11 is what we should focus on.

I think we are already in the war. I believe we were supplying weapons through Benghazi to Syria and that they are now in Iraq. Follow the dots and the money. No wonder they wanted to cover up the terrorist attack on Benghazi. Yes, Hillary, it does make a difference even now.

A tempting proposition. Let the savages take care of the savages. The only problem with the idea is letting Russia step in. Putin doesn´t labor under the same restrictions that we do. If he rolls into the area, he takes complete control over a sizable portion of the world´s oil reserves which stablizes Russia and de-stabalizes the Western economies. Iraq and Syria are tailor made for Russian military tactics. Nice big open spaces for tank battles.

This is actually a modification of the Reagan principle. During the Iraq-Iran War, we sold guns to both sides and used the money to fund the Contras in Central America. This kept the terrorists busy in the Middle East and stopped a Communist takeover in El Salvador.

There is one thing Obama should do, approve the Keystone pipeline and reverse all his policies to make the US self sufficient in real energy resources and let the muslim hoards know that their gravy train is shutting down. We need a source of clean ( non terror ) energy. This is a necessity if you are really going to cut loose the middle east. We must not depend on any muslim state for energy if we are to follow the other good advice in this article!

Highly unlikely that this administration would offer sanctuary the the Christians of the Middle East so they will all die this time as MSM cannot be bothered to cover the story and Obama is content to look the other way while they are slaughtered. Maybe Obama is the 12th iman they have been waiting for...he has certainly ushered in enough chaos.

One obvious omission from this article is any reference to Iran getting closer to nuclear capability. What happens then? They can vaporize themselves but what if they bring a suitcase nuclear weapon across our OPEN border or blow up Israel? There are Americans living or working all over the Middle East. A former SEAL was on Fox this morning and said we are no longer fighting wars to win. It´s all done in such a politically correct way that this is what we end up with. Who drops pamphlets from a plane advising we don´t hate Islam?? This sure wouldn´t have happened in WWW I or II.

This ISIS organization is going to readily find out that they have taken one road too far as they approach Baghdad with long supply lines that they cannot secure. They will be completely open to air attack as they move across terrain that resembles the moon with no place to hide.

The only way that the USA should intervene is if the US is willing to use very extreme military tactics that are sure to annihilate the enemy and grind them into dust on the battlefield, simply bomb them back to the 7th century by dropping Daisy Cutters on their troop concentrations and supply lines, unfortunately that will probably never happen with Obama, Kerry and Hagel who are probably going to institute very measured tactics, what liberal Democrats always do, that will end up being ineffective in the end. They are already indicating that they see this as an opportunity to hob-knob with the Mullahs of Iran who have been indirectly killing US military personnel for decades. As it is now it is much better for the US to stay out.

Probably the best thing to do is to keep them fighting each other with neither side getting an advantage. If the Islamic world ever gets united under one tyrant it will attack everyone else in a much more organized fashion.

It would also be a good thing showing the corruption in Islam, and get that message out to the entire Muslim population. There are many Muslim refugees that have lost everything to mindless Islamic violence. When the Muslim people stop supporting Islam it will collapse. It would take a long time to do this since Muslims have been brainwashing the population for generations.

Use the American military to target the groups that are targetting Americans. Target their financial pipelines too. Consider arming any non-Islamic groups that are under attack by Islam.

Islam is already at war with the rest of the world. It is a generational war. Islam won´t stop until it is completely and utterly defeated militarily and has zero support from its population.

Meanwhile, the high prices will encourage domestic drilling and production of our nearly boundless reserves held in shale deposits, to the point where we will become a major oil exporter ourselves.

Hm. Good point -- if you accept the premise that there is anything that will cause this Administration to increase domestic oil production, which is a doubtful premise.

Iraq´s president, Maliki has asked for US assistance. Oh really?

If we had a real POTUS, we would give them assistance in the form of surgically strafing the living snot out of all of them, but our POTUS is sympathetic to Muslims, so that´s not an option. If he does anything, it will be a token drone strike that will avail nothing for American national interests. And America should be our only priority.

Konrad´s scenario of what POTUS would do to "help" Iraq is never going to happen.

He [Maliki] has no choice. No matter what he decides, the West wins.

Sorry, I don´t figures that. The only way the West (the US) wins is if we obliterate our enemies over there.

Iran needs our help! The nation which has thumbed its nose at the West for 35 years, now wants our help?

It IS interesting but if Iran is as strong as they claim they are, why do they need our help? Why not involve themselves solo?

I love the idea of allowing them to FUBAR among themselves and leaving them to it, but oil is important to us and anything that disrupts that (until LooneyTunes opens the Keystone pipleline and drills in the Bakken fields) hurts us.

I think this was a satire piece.

FTA- "The only ones they can threaten are their fellow Muslims.
If they take over Iraq, who cares? "
" Sure! Iraq may go down... So what ? "
" Even if ISIS wins the Caliphate,
it will revert to seventh century technology
soon enough."
The 5 million ISIS got when they looted the
Central Bank of Mosul will buy
a lot of technology.
Iraq falling will destabilize Jordan , Lebanon and possibly Saudi Arabia.
Israel , unlike Konrad and Obama , is taking this situation very seriously.
As to resolving this mess- I got nothing.
The time to have acted was years into
Barry´s reign , but, he ignored
all the early warning signs that Iraq was in trouble.
Unlike Konrad ,however, I just don´t think this disastrous situation is a laughing matter.

In the book of Genesis the enmity began when Abraham doubted YHWH´s promise and begat Ishmael with Sarah´s maid instead of waiting for Isaac, the child of the promise. Their descendants have been at war ever after. In the book of Joshua, when the Israelites entered the Promised Land, (promised to Abraham by YHWH), they were told to destroy all the peoples in the land of Canaan and they disobeyed, resulting in the eternal conflict we are seeing escalate today. Satan´s big lie to mankind is that we can be like God, we don´t need God, but falling for that lie brings disaster every time. Many years ago I had a wise Theology professor who continually exhorted us to "read your Bibles, people". Its all in there, past, present and future.

I like the idea of letting them fight it out among themselves, but there is one big problem. And that is, in order to win a war, you must destroy the enemy´s ability to fight and destroy THEIR WILL TO CONTINUE THE FIGHT. Remember that in WWII, we had pretty much destroyed Japan´s ability to continue but did not destroy their will to do so until we dropped the A-bombs on them. That was the straw that broke the camel´s back. Now what would work in the Islam world?

Centuries of tribal slaughter, people that have no concept of free exchange, letting them kill each other off, invites an interesting take.
On the other hand, we are at war with all terrorists, and if all of their advancing violence makers are out on the open road rolling toward Bahgdad, wouldn´t that be an ideal time to blow them out of existence, leaving Bahgdad in tact? Does that make sense? Go see a John Wayne - Burma Road movie, at least.
Neither of these ideas could ever work in an administration packed with Leninist trained Communist propagandist ideologues, who are also sympathetic to the even harsher ideology of Islamic supremacism.
So, expect that the most destructive decisions will happen,
as long as our so-called republican opposition is Communist leaning and unwilling to stand up for freedom.

All we can hope for is that real conservatives, libertarians, bikers, Tea Partiers, honest gun owners, talk radio hosts,
internet heroes like Drudge, Breitbart and Lucianne, teachers of the free market, ultimately PREVAIL.

If it were not for the ability to smuggle nuclear weapons in any of the thousands of containers coming to the USA every day, I would agree with the idea of letting the factions kill each other, since that is what they do, just like the natural order of Moose and Wolves. However, I think we need to keep Iran from obtaining this weapon, because these people are crazy enough to use them, even if it would guarantee their extermination.

This was the Boeing 747 that was blown out of the sky ten miles south of the Long Island coast on July 17, 1996, killing all 230 people on board. The TWA 800 Project, a team of former aviation investigators and scientists, had petitioned the NTSB to examine evidence that pointed toward a missile strike on the airline. Not surprisingly, the NTSB, which had invested four years of resources to prove some other theory, any other theory, chose

After leaving the White House with a reputation for telling lies, what are the career options open for Jay Carney? Once upon a time, he was an actual reporter who gathered news and was supposed to be believed, working for Time Magazine, which some readers may remember used to be a major publication. According to the Daily Caller, next stop: MSNBC (snip)it is too early to shed any tears for Jay. After all, there are many hundreds of campuses where students pay mandatory “student activity fees” in the hundreds of dollars each, that are used to hire outside speakers to come

The Hobby Lobby decision has ignited liberals and unleashed their prejudice. And this ad is shameful. The New York Times has a full-page ad in its print edition today that should elicit protests around the nation (but likely won’t). Here is a copy from the website of the Freedom From Religious Foundation that wrote and paid for the ad (snip) what is worse is this line from the ad: “All-male, All-Roman Catholic Majority on Supreme Court Puts Religious Wrongs over Women’s Rights.” Anti-Catholicism apparently is no problem for this group. Should there be a religious test for public office or the highest court

Is same-sex parenting just like grandparents raising their orphaned grandchildren? The nations of the world say no. On second thought, try “Hell no.” But that doesn’t stop the shills for Big Gay, who stand to make billions off expanded gay “adoption” (I use that term loosely), from continuously drawing the lame parallel. Just check out this section of an article that ran in the Daily Beast, by Jay Michaelson, on the United Nations’ recent resolution protecting the rights of the family: So, an amendment was proposed – formally put forward by Uruguay – that would acknowledge that “various forms of the family exist.” This

The U.S. deported Honduran children as young as 1-1/2 years old on Monday in the first flight since President Obama pledged to speed up the process of sending back illegal immigrant minors from Central America. Fleeing violence and poverty, record numbers of children from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala have crossed into the United States over the past year, sparking intense debate about how to solve the problem. Monday´s flight from New Mexico to San Pedro Sula, the city with the highest murder rate in the world, returned 17 Honduran women, as well as 12 girls and nine boys, aged

The Obama administration quietly announced on Tuesday that it intends to change the way Americans learn about natural disasters and other major emergencies during radio and TV broadcasts, giving the president the ability to flip a switch and address the entire nation at once. The Emergency Alert System, the latest version of a program first established in 1951, blasts out emergency messages in the event of local weather emergencies, but can also be used to warn Americans about terror attacks and major natural disasters. In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide. Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.” Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. John McCain, an immigration hawk. Who knew? Mr. McCain, the highest-profile Republican of the U.S. Senate’s “Gang of Eight” that came up with amnesty as the solution to the immigration crisis — and it truly is a crisis — is finally taking a hard line against President Obama for his encouraging the tidal wave of illegal aliens swamping the southwestern border. “There has to be a halt to this,” Mr. McCain thundered Sunday on CNN. “That’s what we want, and the best way to do that is for planeloads of these young people to be returning to their country of origin

Contrary to what those who defend the right to own high-powered assault rifles believe, not all guns are created equal. Due to a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage the following five types of guns are the country's most dangerous. School Shootings: Widely Reported Tragedies Since 2000 - Using firearm trace data from the ATF, as well as FBI homicide records, we determined the types of guns most often recovered from crime scenes and/or used in murders. The numbers are stark: According to the FBI's 2012 Crime in the US data, nearly 70 percent of homicides for which the FBI received weapons data involved the use

It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
