US seeks to expedit
talks with Iran over ISIS

Jerusalem Post (Israel), by Michael Wilner

Original Article

Washington - Reflecting rapidly changing events on the ground in the Middle East, the United States is readying a new, direct channel with Iran that will allow the two powers to coordinate strategy against the menace of ISIS, a terrorist militia conquering territory throughout eastern Syria and northern Iraq. The Obama administration is already preparing a channel separate from its efforts to forge a comprehensive agreement with Iran over its nuclear program, (Snip) "Whatever dialogue may or may not be taking place [with Iran] would take place on the sideline or outside the mainstream of the nuclear talks" in Vienna, US Secretary of State

Comments:
There is only one "deal" we should make with this Devil, Iran. Stop completely your nuclear program or you will be bombed. They are a terrorist stare aligned with Syria and Al Qaeda factions, so we don´t negotiate...0bama...or fickle State department. Once again, secret talks with White house & Iran are continuing. (Kerry´s lying...again).

Obama is surely encouraging Iran to use the nuclear weapons it adamantly denies having against ISIS. "Go ahead an drop one of the small ones you´ve hidden on that ISIS camp in Mosul. I´ll have Susan Rice deny that it was a nuke since she is willing to say anything. If we are pressed by the UN, we can always blame Bush."

This just sent chills up my spine. Is the USA really going to "work" with Iran to save Iraq from terrorists? I knew zippy would be trouble, but aligning with Iran is absolutely insane.

Take a look at the map.

Iran does not want a radical, hostile, Sunni state next door. And even worse, one with access to the Persian Gulf.

And toss this in. Iran, has been helping Assad in Syria for much the same reasons, to block a Sunni state in Syria.

But Iran and Syria have no common border so Iran has been routing aid to Syria through Iraq. Now if ISIS takes Iraq it blocks that path. (Iran might escalate to keep it open.)

Notice that right next to Iraq is a vulnerable Saudi Arabia, which is also Sunni and helping the rebels in Syria.

ISIS intends a combined state of Syria and Iraq. Then trying to bring in Saudi Arabia would be a logical next step.

Add it up, the new ISIS would control Syrian, Iraqi, and Arabian oil and have access to the Mediterranean, the Red Sea, Suez, Egypt, and the Persian Gulf.

Obama: US willing to

Associated Press, by Staff    Original Article

Washington - President Barack Obama is telling Israel´s leader that the United States is willing to negotiate a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. Obama spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday, as Israel was intensifying an bombardment of the Gaza Strip in an attempt to thwart rocket fire targeting Israel. The White House says Obama condemned the rockets and said Israel has the right to self-defense. But Obama also urged both sides not to escalate the crisis and to restore calm. Obama also relayed concerns about a Palestinian-American teenager who was detained and apparently beaten by Israeli authorities.

House Speaker John Boehner´s lawsuit against President Barack Obama will focus on Obama´s 2013 decision to unilaterally delay implementation of the so-called employer mandate of the Affordable Care Act. Boehner´s office released a draft document on Thursday of the resolution set to be filed in the House of Representatives, which would authorize the chamber to take legal action against the president. "Today we’re releasing a draft resolution that will authorize the House to file suit over the way President Obama unilaterally changed the employer mandate," Boehner said in a statement.

New York - The FBI monitored the interactions between Nelson Mandela and the African National Congress and leftwing groups in the US through the 1980s and 1990s as part of its ongoing investigations into what the bureau deemed to be the communist threat to US national security, new documents reveal. (Snip) The bureau monitored meetings between Mandela and other world leaders, tracked the movements of senior ANC officials as they travelled across the US, and kept a close eye on the anti-apartheid activities of the Communist Party USA (CP-USA). David Cameron abandoned his year-long resistance to tightening the accountability of the security services as the price for winning Liberal Democrat and Labour support for emergency surveillance laws. Standing alongside Nick Clegg, the prime minister unveiled emergency laws, to be bundled through parliament in days, designed to shore up the powers of spies, police and government agencies. But Cameron agreed to a "sunset clause" time-limiting the bill to 2016, a full-scale review of intercept laws, a new oversight board and restrictions on the number of public bodies that can make use of surveillance data.

North Korea fired two short-range missiles off the east coast of the Korean Peninsula early Wednesday, a South Korean Defense Ministry official said. No damage or injures were reported. The projectiles flew more than 310 miles (almost 500 kilometers), the official said. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has ordered his Cabinet to look into the apparent launch. The Japanese government intends to lodge an official protest with the North Korean government. North Korea has carried out a series of missile and rocket launches into the sea in recent months, drawing criticism from South Korea, the United States and the United Nations.

The European Union is pressing the United States to lift its longstanding ban on crude oil exports through a sweeping trade and investment deal, according to a secret document from the negotiations obtained by The Washington Post. It´s not entirely surprising. The EU has made its desire for the right to import U.S. oil known since the U.S. started producing large amounts of it in the mid-2000s. It signaled again at the outset of trade negotiations, and its intentions have become even more clear since. This time, though, the EU is adding another argument: Instability on its Eastern flank threatens to cut off the supply of oil and natural gas

Despite fiery statements issued by Hamas spokesmen over the past 48 hours, it was obvious Tuesday night that the Islamist movement was searching for ways to rid itself of the current escalation. Hamas feels that it has been forced into a confrontation with Israel – one that it did not want at this stage because of its increased isolation and financial crisis. The massive Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours have surprised Hamas and other Palestinian groups. Hamas apparently expected a limited response to the recent rocket attacks on Israeli cities and towns. But as the

Starting next week, House Republicans will launch a highly visible—and likely tumultuous—three-week process of bringing to the floor legislation to authorize their promised lawsuit against President Obama over his use of executive actions. "In theory, you could report out a resolution tomorrow and vote on it," said a House GOP aide on Tuesday. "But that is not the approach [the leaders] want to take." Rather, the aim is to display—if not actually engage in—a more deliberative process, even if amid controversy. This drawn-out script builds toward a potentially dramatic floor vote held just days, or even hours, before the House adjourns on

Fate hasn´t been kind to Hillary Clinton, at least not in its most recent phase. In 2008, when the plate was set for the national Democrats, she lost the nomination to Barack Obama, of scant years and no gravitas, who soared out of nowhere to wrench destiny from her on the unspecified promise of "change." Now, "change" has come, and people don´t like it. Iraq changed from a safe, stable ally (just ask Obama) to a terrorist haven, one of the reasons why, though no fellow Democrats seem likely to edge her, her chances of winning the White House seem dim. President Obama’s ultimate weakness may be that he believes his own blarney. A year ago, Mr. Obama boasted in a “fireside” Web chat that his “is the most transparent administration in history.” There was not the slightest hint of irony. He may actually believe it. But three-dozen organizations representing newspapermen and other journalists, mostly liberals, beg to differ. In a testy letter to the president on Tuesday, the group decried the “slick non-answers” and cold shoulders they’re getting from Mr. Obama’s representatives, who have restricted access to any information they consider embarrassing to the administration. “The stifling of free expression,” the signers
