Denying climate change is like saying

President Barack Obama said denying climate change is like arguing the moon is made of cheese, as he issued a call to action on global warming to Saturday´s graduates of the University of California, Irvine. Obama issued the call to the tens of thousands gathered at Angel Stadium even though he said Congress ´is full of folks who stubbornly and automatically reject the scientific evidence´ and say climate change is a hoax or fad. Obama said others duck the question. ´They say, "Hey, look, I´m not a scientist." And I´ll translate that for you: what that really means is, "I know that

Speech had nothing to do with commencement and was simply one of Obama´s fund raising attacks on GOP before incredibly wealthy Dems. Why waste time his time preparing when golf is calling?

What´s pathetic is that the AP and the NYT reported Obama´s speech with such excitement, as if these DNC affiliates were relishing his vicious comments about people who disagree with his delusional and quite dangerous beliefs. Obama is arguing the world is flat, and if you disagree, the AP and Times will ignite the fire that will burn the heresy out of you.

I hate to mention it, but I will. The SOCIALIST RHINO Republicans really are to blame for enabling and leaning LEFT to empower these Socialists and ignoring their constant control and letting have their ways, establish control and change the laws. These weak leaders gave in too many times to these Socialist leaders for too long and over time the changes were obvious...but they continued to give-in. Now, you see the damage they´ve done. I am a Conservative...I vote for the man not the party. But, you have to know the GOP screwed up and allowed most of this to occur. They are NOT INNOCENT by a long shot! And if you look back in history.....around the 1930s, you´ll see how it all started...now we´re all living in the hell and it´s only just begun.

This hack´s answer to the non-existent problem of added plant food to the atmosphere is forcing his subjects to buy more expensive energy from his donors´ companies producing it sporadically from wind and solar. And if we allow ourselves to be so forced, then at the end of the century, if you believe the Warmists´ math which has proven to be highly tilted to their ends, the temperature of Gaia will be but 0.018° cooler than it would be had we trotted along unfettered by bureaucratic whim.

In his UCI commencement speech, President Obama insinuated skeptics of man-caused climate change were “ignoring science” and mocked them by making an invalid analogy to the moon landing, stating “But I don’t remember anyone ignoring science. I don’t remember anyone saying the moon wasn’t real, or that it was made of cheese.”

Prior to being accepted, a scientific hypothesis must agree with empirically observed data: NO scientific hypothesis formulated so far does so. To date no empirical evidence has shown man-made CO2 to be a dominant cause of "rising temperatures and sea levels and intensifying storm patterns."

Obama neglected to compare the beliefs of climate change alarmists to previously accepted beliefs that (1) the earth is flat, (2) the sun and planets revolved around the earth. Both beliefs were rejected when they failed to agree with subsequent empirical evidence.

An open, objective, empirically-driven approach to understanding the dominant causes of climate change and their impacts is needed. Obama’s speech provided none of these characteristics and was beneath the dignity befitting the presidency.

I have seen no EVIDENCE that human-caused CO2 is a major factor in any observed climate change. If Obama knows of any he is obligated to produce it to substantiate his assertions.

If human-caused CO2 is a major factor, please explain why CO2 emissions have risen over the past 20 years while temperatures have remained flat. Science is based on theories and hypotheses that agree with empirical measurements. NO scientific hypothesis that has been formulated so far agrees with the observed data, which science DEMANDS before a hypothesis is adopted!

So far, we can safely say:

1. Increased atmospheric CO2 will have an impact on global atmospheric temperatures

2. Human activities have caused increases in atmospheric CO2

The real question is HOW SIGNIFICANT is the contribution of human-caused CO2 to any observed atmospheric temperature change AFTER accounting for ALL OTHER possible causes (such as sun activity, changes in water vapor [the dominant greenhouse gas] changes in cloud cover, etc.)?

All would agree that if I were to urinate in the Pacific Ocean it would contribute to a rise in seal level. All would also agree that the contribution would not be SIGNIFICANT! The same test must be applied to human-caused CO2!

SAN DIEGO - The family that drew national attention when they were rescued at sea off their sailboat, Rebel Heart, in April is finally setting the record straight. Charlotte and Eric Kaufman and their two daughters were about 1,000 miles west of Cabo San Lucas in the Sea of Cortez when 1-year old Lyra became sick. That was when their adventure of a lifetime turned into a nightmare. It began with a fever, then a rash and then Lyra became lethargic. “Without borders, there is no nation,” former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin wrote in a Breitbart op-ed this week. “Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate. This is his fundamental transformation of America ... President Obama´s rewarding of lawlessness, including his own, is the foundational problem here ... It´s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the Left or Right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment.” That this desperate cry for attention (dangling participle and all)

In an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Special Report” on Wednesday, Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) discussed the current state of affairs surrounding the issue of immigration. Unlike many of his Republican colleagues, Karl Rove advocated Thursday for bipartisan compromise on immigration. “Republicans have to look at this as an opportunity that they have to work,” the Republican strategist said on the Fox News program “Happening Now.” “It’s an opportunity to get some things done to help secure the border.” He suggested that in working with President Barack Obama’s $3.7 billion request for additional funds to deal with the current immigration crisis, Republicans could make policy gains like increasing the amount of border patrols. “They ought to sit down in good faith,” he said of Republicans and the
