3 GOP presidential hopefuls

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Presidential hopefuls Sen. Rand Paul, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and former Sen. Rick Santorum are in Iowa to deliver their prescriptions for how to unite the Republican Party. The three were the most notable figures to speak Saturday at the Iowa Republican State Convention in Des Moines. It is Paul´s third trip to Iowa since the 2012 election. The Kentucky senator says the GOP should maintain its core message but make the party more attractive to black and Hispanic voters. Jindal spent much of his time criticizing President Barack Obama. He accused Obama of presiding over "the most

Comments:
No to Santorum hands down. The 2016 field not looking too good at this point even though it is still early.

Presidential hopefuls need to worry more about getting members of the Republican party to vote for them instead of worrying about minorities and Independents. Romney would have won had GOP turnout been better.

More candidates should try the David Brat strategy and get high GOP turnout instead of trying to out pander the Democrats. The GOP core principles would likely be attractive to a good many of the minorities and independents as well, but that would be an added bonus to winning based on your own party turnout. Imagine what 50% or 60% GOP turnout would mean to an election.

Willard turned out 990,000 more voters in 2012 than Captain McQueeg did in 2008. Willard just did not properly reach the base by using a Liberal Lite message as well carrying the Social Liberal luggage from being Governor of Massachusetts.

I sincerely wish Santorum would get lost. He´s completely unqualified to be president and he´d be an awful candidate (if by some fluke he won the nomination).

I really like Jindal, but I think the stage is too big. He´s a great advocate for conservative governance. If Huckabee runs Santorum will vanish. They go after the same votes. I think 2016 is going to be either Rick Perry or Jeb Bush, with Rubio or Susana Martinez as the VP. In 2000 money talked, the money wanted W. It was obvious very early. In 2016 the money is going to want a solid ex-governor from a key state. Rubio or Martinez will help bring the latino vote up to the 35% level needed to win. I´d be happy with a Bush-Martinez ticket or a Perry-Rubio ticket. That´s not an establishment view, that´s a reality view. Cruz, Palin, Walker, Pence aren´t going to be the nominee.

On the Democratic side, Hillary isn´t a shoe-in. Biden will get most of the Obama fall out. The press will keep up the pressure to dupe people into thinking a Rand Paul, Ted Cruz or any other true conservative are laughable and not qualified for it. Some of you will fall for it. This leads it open for the elite to be on the Romney, Bush etc bandwagon. The VP doesn´t matter. Let´s not get too excited with that scrap of food.

Just to echo the previous evaluations of Rick Santorum, he needs to shut up, go home, and stay there. His act is completely worn out.
Rick amounts to nothing more than dead weight toward the much needed effort of getting things back on course.

Rick Santorum is his own biggest fan. There are few others. Rand Paul scares some of us. He makes really strange comments from time to time. I have great admiration for Bobby Jindal, but he will not garner national appeal. That´s too bad. I think he could be a viable and attractive VP nominee, however. Although I too would enthusiastically vote for either, #4, I don´t believe this will be the year for either Perry or Jeb Bush. So, that leaves us where?

If the Palestinians are merely engaged in a nationalist struggle for self-determination, then why are they inciting genocide of Jewry? In the midst of Operation Protective Edge, Hamas released a music video in Hebrew calling for the Palestinians to bomb Israel and kill all Israelis. “Raze it [Israel] to the ground, exterminate the cockroaches’ nest, and banish all the Zionists,” the lyrics read. Some human rights activists and lawyers may get a sense of déjà vu upon reading these words. Back in 1994, there were several radio broadcasts calling for the extermination of human cockroaches. US wealth based on theft? Progressives

Is the wealth of America based on theft? This allegation lies at the heart of modern progressivism, and provides the justification for government seizure and government redistribution, not only within America but also from America to the rest of the world. In my film “2016” I showed how Obama’s anti-colonialism presumes that the West grew rich by conquering other countries and stealing their resources. This theft critique has now been incorporated and expanded into a systematic, progressive critique of America. According to this critique, America was founded in an original act of piracy: the early settlers stole the country from the

Calling someone the “queen of the tea party,” may be an odd appellation for a movement that has no leaders. Sarah Palin was regarded by some as the “queen of the tea party.” Conservatives immediately rallied around her in 2008, when John McCain tapped her to be the vice presidential nominee. She remained popular, but her role with the tea party exploded after the First Tea Party Convention in Nashville in 2010. In 2010, Palin held court and made appearances and endorsements. Those endorsements turned out to be very valuable to candidates in 2010. In 2012, she lost a bit of her
