Nice catch, Michelle! Barack is

Barack and Michelle Obama´s weekend visit to Palm Springs, California, started out with a wardrobe malfunction for the first lady - but luckily the president was there to save the day. The first couple were stepping off Air Force One at the Palm Springs International Airport on a balmy Friday evening when a gust of wind nearly blew up the voluminous skirt of Mrs Obama´s green-and-black summer frock. The 50-year-old first lady was photographed struggling to tame the billowing fabric, with a relaxed Mr Obama walking alongside her with a rueful smile on his wife.Eventually, the commander-in-chief came to his

Okay, being a Christian I can´t really say what I think of her "ensemble". Let´s just say she´s a bit old for that dress. Also what happened to her smooth hairdo with bangs?

She and Kate (Duchess of Cambridge) need to sew weights into their hems to avoid such accidents. Kate was really caught in a bad spot during her trip to New Zealand/Australia, and unfortunately some German paper published the pic.

I never noticed Michelle having issues "departing Air Force One" in frocks and voluminous skirts until young Kate was in the news a few times with those issues. Michelle usually wore pantsuits and more fitted dresses and skirts - much less voluminous, at least. But, once young Kate garnered headlines Michelle seems to have soon followed with her own "narrow avoidances".

Dang it! Sorry about the triple post...apparently I am having issues here.

But to continue my thoughts, I really like that dress on her. And I really, really like the flat black sandals she paired it with. Very nice, classic look, and I´m glad she was able to manage the skirt. As I´ve stated before, I like about half her styles; I do like that she´s got her own way of thinking about it. And I don´t think she looks any bigger than any other recent First Lady (relative weight to height) except for maybe Nancy Reagan, who is tiny.

And my last thought - those Indian children in the pics are absolutely PRECIOUS. Oh em gee...they are darling! And yes, I said Indian (feather, not dot).

In 2012, I alerted the federal government to the growing problem of unaccompanied minors making the treacherous journey across Mexico to reach the United States. At that point the minors could annually be numbered in the hundreds or thousands. In recent months, tens of thousands of children have come across the border and are now housed in federal facilities across the U.S., the result of failed federal policies and Washington´s indifference to securing the border. I visited one of these facilities in June and saw these children, frightened and alone, who left their homes and families, survived a harrowing trip, and
