May Hint What Was in
Destroyed Lerner Emails

A cottage industry grew up following the revelation that Rosemary Woods, Richard Nixon’s secretary, performed feats of contortionism worthy of Barnum and Bailey in order to “accidentally” erase 18 1/2 minutes of a June 20, 1972, tape that most experts agree contained a conversation between the president and Chief of Staff H.R. Haldeman discussing Watergate. Here is Woods demonstrating her act: Perhaps some day we’ll have a similar photo of how Lois Lerner “accidentally” crashed her computer to erase nearly two years of emails. To this day, we don’t know what those missing 18 1/2 minutes contained. Oliver Stone in

I refuse to read another article that says it is about the Lerner emails, then starts out with Nixon. Get out of here with the Nixon and Bush comparisons. It is old, worn out, and not appreciated.

Storage copies of eMail are stored off-computer. Once per day/week/month they are moved to tape/disc. It is totally unbelievable that the only storage they would have would be on the server for files 28 months old.

I agree wholeheartedly.

By definition, E-mails are transmitted over a network and NOT stored on a local computer such as Lois Lerner´s personal computer, thus crashing of a single computer does NOT cause E-mails to be "lost." Copies should exist on NETWORK backups or be available from archives of a third-party ISP if one was used.

Besides being good practice, I believe it is the law that networks backups be archived for a period of time. Anyone know the applicable legalities (as-if they would matter to Obama or his minions)?

#4, it´s being reported on The Blaze that the IRS has a rule specifically mandating that e-mails pertaining to a particular case must be printed out and placed with the case file.

Therefore, in addition to #4 and #2´s assertions, there must have been printed e-mails which have been disposed of (or never made).

Not a smidgen of corruption, nosiree.

Lois couldn´t crash a computer if she tried, and e-mails are stored on a server. If Lois´ computer crashed, it´s proabably due to malware she picked up cruising the net on taxpayer time. The IRS "computer specialists" more than likley wiped the drive clean and reloaded. No muss no fuss thats the federal "hi-tech" way... RETIRED TECH

When the desktop computer hard drive "crashed" it was so violent that the disk spinning at 7200rpm erupted from the housing, flew across the room and demolished the file cabinet where paper copies of the emails were also stored. That´s why we can´t produce them.

See how easy it is?

My guess is they are protecting a number of dems who requested the TP be targeted. Boehner should have settled this situation months ago. Didn´t Judicial Watch report dems names were in e-mails requesting the TP be targeted? I suggest Boehner hire a computer expect, request Lerner´s hard drive & start to investigate instead of playing golf.

The only way that all of her emails could have been deleted is if someone in the government, systematically and intentionally sought them out for deletion. Not an impossible task. But it would have to be intentional. Had this happened, those emails are likely gone. (except for those emails that were printed out or archived by an individual and saved on a separate storage device) The ONLY reason for this "accidental" loss of emails is to cover something up.....and to risk imprisonment for something like this implies that it was to cover-up an impeachable offense.

Every email sent or received is saved on the senders and recipients computer as well as every server that that email passed through. This regime has successfully stonewalled every document request or subpoena for the last 5 1/2 years. They only have to continue to get away with it for another two election cycles.

This is the biggest IRS lie yet and I have no doubt that it was ordered by the Liar-in-Chief. A government agency like the IRS would back up all data and keep everything for a minimum of seven years, most of it much longer than that.

You get social security earnings statements from the first day you ever worked. You can bet your life that every e-mail Lerner ever wrote is still intact and they are attempting to withhold this data from the lawyers. It is up to us to pressure congress not to let them get away with it. When you can´t trust the agency that robs you of thousands of dollars every year, the entire government is in question.

Emails are not lost. There are spillover systems, i.e., backups of backups of backups. I posted the following elsewhere yesterday:

One of the IT experts who called Mark Levin´s show Friday evening evening (you can listen to the link here, starting at the 37-minute mark: http://www.stationcaster.com/player_skinned.php?s=2591&c=10771&f=2932173) stated that she works for the company that created the software that the IRS is using that does an automatic spillover. It´s a security system that backs up these systems "every single night"; these backups are stored "for years". But here´s the kicker: This caller said they have never gotten any calls or emails saying these systems have failed. And she further pointed out that if any of their systems failed, whether for state/federal government or private business, they would never get the projects. This is all regulated. You must have spillover systems, because the IRS is federally funded, and by law there are certain security measures that have to be implemented.

--More than one caller pointed out that apart from a hiccup, this sort of "loss" would indicate that a crime has been committed. Another said you can´t lose email like this "without intention."

--Commented Levin: For those who are dealing with the IRS, e.g., litigating against the IRS, how can you be sure that the IRS is producing all the information they are required to produce during discovery? The hard drives that crashed may have had information on it that you needed. If you go to court, your lawyers need to know which hard drives crashed and make sure that the information on those hard drives wasn´t something that the client had to have. Because now the proof shifts to the IRS.

--There are multiple backups and the information is always in other places -- including other peoples´ email accounts/IP addresses. There´s no way the IRS didn´t have backup systems.

--The IRS would have known it had a problem before Friday.

Logic leads us to the conclusion that Lois Lerner is protecting people far more powerful than herself. There must be some very big Democrats implicated in the IRS´s anti-Tea Party communications. Who? Whom do you think? I´ll repeat what I´ve been saying: Chances are increasing that Obama will be thrown out of office before his term ends, and that, like Barry Goldwater in 1974, a delegation of Democrats will be the ones to tell Obama that he must go. With the rampant illegality going on in the White House, eventually that final step must be taken lest the entire Democratic Party be cast aside, too.

In order for the IRS to persecute anybody they please,
the IRS keeps duplicate, triplicate, quadruplicate, endless copies in endless branches. Like all paper addicted bureaucrats, they suffer The Disease of Duplication, and can only "lose" or destroy documents to commit obstruction of justice.hAamNNN

There are whistleblowers in there somewhere ready to follow the wounded vets, their families, and Bergdahl´s six platoon buddies who broke the stifling wall of censored intimidation. There must be thousands of IRS family members out there, who are sick and tired of what their spouse or parent does at work to make money.

The secret to America´s recovery includes a breakout of whistleblowing from within the walls of corrupt government ! Make your own list of all the openly acknowledged departments of armed corruption.
Boggles the mind. Time to offer rewards, and protection from death.

In the foyer of the Central Intelligence Agency’s headquarters, there is a marble wall covered in stars. They are carved divots that represent those who have fallen in the service of the CIA. The book is a guide to the stars, giving the names of some of those who died and withholding the names of others. SO FAR Hamas’s military campaign against Israel has been a dismal failure. Thanks in part to Israel’s Iron Dome anti-missile system, some 1,200 rockets fired at Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and other cities have caused only one Israeli death and a few other casualties. Attempted commando attacks via the sea and a tunnel were stopped short, and a drone that ventured into Israel was quickly shot down. Yet Hamas on Tuesday rejected an Egyptian cease-fire proposal that was supported by Western governments and the Arab League and had been accepted by Israel. Sarah Palin is right about impeaching President Obama. No, not that the president should be impeached. But Palin is correct in arguing that, for those who assert that Obama has grievously abused his executive authority, impeachment is the proper course of action. Of course this won’t happen, for the obvious reason that this tactic didn’t go so well for Republicans last time. Hence House Speaker John Boehner’s curt dismissal of Palin’s call for impeachment: “I disagree.” Boehner’s alternative — a lawsuit — offers the political benefits of draining impeachment fever from the more rabid Republican precincts while rallying the base

Israel’s pledge to intensify its military operation in the Gaza Strip could hasten the moment when the Obama administration will be forced to decide whether to use its leverage to corral its closest ally in the Middle East. Israeli officials, in a series of television interviews, statements and social-media venues, said Tuesday that Hamas’s rejection of a cease-fire offer validated the force it has used over eight days of conflict and made legitimate their argument for a wider military effort. The Obama administration appeared to accept that rationale, blaming the armed Islamist movement in Gaza for missing an opportunity to

Four out of five illegal immigrants seeking driver’s licenses under a new D.C. law have failed a written knowledge test — a rocky start to a program that in its first two months has issued 268 licenses, according to city officials. The failure rate of 80 percent compares with a 58 percent failure rate for people seeking traditional driver’s licenses, the Department of Motor Vehicles told a D.C. Council committee. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks
