Could Obama Issue a Blanket Pardon
for Illegal Immigrants?

RushLimbaugh.com, by Rush Limbaugh

Original Article

RUSH: Yesterday, you might remember me mentioning that sometime before the program started, the Official Program Observer, Mr. Bo Snerdley, strode into the studio smiling ear to ear saying, "Well, I guess that´s the end of immigration reform." I said, "Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. If you think the Eric Cantor defeat is the end of immigration reform in the Republican Party, you are misreading the situation." (snip) Oh! Let me run an idea by you. I was reading the Power Line guy, Steven Hayward. He has put forth what he thinks is a very real possibility.

Rush is right, but:

Most successful recall efforts are pushed across the "finish line" by a precipitating event. The tripling of CA automobile registration fees (taxes) in September, 2003 that led to success of the Gray Davis recall in October is an example.

Forcing immigration "reform" could be such a precipitating event. Sentiment is already building to impeach the Emperor and defeat Congressional leaders at the polls. People are already burning about the way Obamacare has been forced on them, and about other recent events. Immigration "reform" would throw gasoline on that fire. A blanket pardon would be an even more powerful accelerant.

One problem: How do you get people in states where there aren´t that many illegals, proportionately speaking, to get fired up about this? The states with the biggest influx of illegals are California, Arizona, Texas, Illinois, Florida, North Carolina, New York, and New Jersey. California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, and Florida all went for Obama. North Carolina is iffy. Somehow, I can´t see the big blue states leading a charge to remove Obama from office.

With the exceptions of Texas and Arizona, most red states aren´t flooded with illegals. People tend to react most strongly to what´s right under their noses. How do you energize people who don´t see an illegal from one day to the next?

If this imp running the show wants to "transform" the country and create multiple chaos, this would surely do it.

The worst part of it is that the Constitution gives the president the power to do it. There is no recall on this and there are no checks and balances for this.

So he can yet again decide to honor the laws he wants to, and disregard those which he doesn´t agree with. Let´s see, this is called a dictatorship.

Notice how all this invasion of illegals came after most of the primaries were over to take the amnesty issue off the table so incumbent RINOS could get a pass?

if I may address the excellent points of post No. 2, there are more states than that which have a heavy influx of illegals. Personal observations:
8 years ago! I was turned down for a job in KANSAS because of not speaking Spanish, and thus could not communicate with the workers.
6 years ago did an engineering project in Mascot, TN (north edge of Knoxville), company is an auto supplier. Entire 2nd shift was illegals and most of the 3rd as well.
Shortly after was in plant in Montgomery, Alabama that makes food storage bags for WalMart. Near as I could tell, the entire hourly workforce is illegal aliens.
these are personal observations of areas FAR from the southern border, and not normally included in areas with high levels of illegals. But they are there. That is, they are here. Law enforcement knows it too, and so do some churches that are complicit in enabling this behavior.
Question: can Obumble issue a pardon for HIMSELF as he leaves office?

#2 you would be surprised at the number of illegals in Iowa and Nebr. They have changed the character of some of the nicest towns in the states. Now, they are more like Tijuana than a small mid western town. We are all to aware of the problem with illegals.

Why Does Obama Want

As his policies, foreign and domestic, are collapsing on pretty much every front, President Obama has increasingly sought refuge in talk about global warming. He wants the U.S. to reduce its emissions of carbon dioxide, and the EPA has done its best to bring this about via increasingly stringent regulations on coal-fired power plants. The Democrats wanted to enact cap-and-trade, but couldn’t get it through Congress, so Obama is doing the best he can through administrative action. Simultaneously, the administration has poured billions of dollars into specious “green” energy projects, many of which can’t be kept alive even with lavish

This past April, with the help of a knowledgeable reader, we took a deep dive into the fossil fuel investments of Democratic money man and environmental poseur Tom Steyer in “The epic hypocrisy of Tom Steyer.” Introducing our reader’s report, John wrote regarding Steyer: “Today, he is a bitter opponent of fossil fuels, especially coal. That fits with his current economic interests: banning coal-fired power plants will boost the value of his solar projects. But it was not always thus. In fact, Steyer owes his fortune in large part to the fact that he has been one of the world’s

The Wall Street Journal editorial page predictably bemoans the collapse of immigration reform and, equally predictably, insinuates that Democrats conspired to help kill it in order to benefit politically. (Favoring cooperation with President Obama on anything requires conservatives to argue that the president secretly hopes the measure will fail.) But the real news comes in the seventh paragraph, when the Journal reports that House Republicans were actually poised to pass a bill before Eric Cantor´s loss freaked them out: ... a majority of GOP Members wanted an immigration reform to pass as long as they didn´t have to vote for

Where Are Libertarians

Every major strand of American conservatism includes a strong libertarian streak, because the value of liberty is fundamental to just about all conservative thought. But today, especially, is said to be the libertarians’ moment. What once was a fringe movement, politically speaking, has moved front and center in our political life. And yet, in my view, libertarians of both the capital L and small l varieties punch below their weight. They have not contributed as much as they should to the conservative movement. This is partly because libertarians tend to founder on foreign policy, where many are merely modern-day isolationists. But

Last week when I commented on the downward revision of the already weak First Quarter GDP numbers, several commenters wrote in to ask: what is keeping the stock market so high? Great question, with the best answer being ZIRP, the Federal Reserve’s “zero interest rate policy,” now matched by many other central banks (with some actually now employing negative interest rates). (snip) It has always been true, however, that times of loose money tend to send stock prices higher than intrinsic valuation might warrant, as the money has nowhere else to go to get plausible returns.

The Israeli government has confirmed reports initially surfacing at the Associated Press and the New York Times that the bodies of three Israeli teenagers reported missing earlier this month have been found. The Israeli cabinet is conducting an emergency meeting on the matter. Officials are confident that they have found the bodies of Naftali Frenkel, Gilad Shaar, and Eyal Yifrach, who went missing in the West Bank earlier this month. Frenkel, a U.S. Citizen, and Shaar were 16 years old; Yifrach was 19. “They know it’s the three, they will know for sure after they do the autopsy," said an Israeli official to the newspaper on the condition of anonymity. He noted that the children appear to have been killed close to the time of kidnapping and had gunshot wounds. Israel's Haaretz newspaper added that the Israeli government was officially conducting a media blackout until all the details were confirmed.

New York Times reporter James Risen has excellent sources in the intelligence community. If you are a disgruntled intelligence officer or official and want to undermine a program or aid enemies of the United States, Risen is the go-to guy. Risen’s accomplishments in this area have been overshadowed by the emergence of Edward Snowden, but Risen should not be forgotten. We know of two valuable national security programs that Risen (writing with his colleague Eric Lichtblau) and the Times destroyed by their disclosure of them. One involved the NSA’s ability to intercept al-Qaeda related communications of terrorists operating abroad.
