Rand Paul: Let´s
Compromise On Amnesty

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Tony Lee

A day after House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) lost his primary after Dave Brat hammered him on amnesty, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) embraced "immigration reform" on a conference call with Michael Bloomberg´s pro-amnesty group and Grover Norquist. Paul, a potential 2016 contender, reportedly said that "amnesty is a word that’s trapped us," and, according to CNN, emphasized, "If you want immigration reform, there has to be openness to compromise." Earlier on Wednesday, talk radio host Rush Limbaugh declared that when politicians in Washington say "immigration reform" what they really mean is "amnesty." “I say everywhere I go, ´I am

If true, Rand Paul just threw himself in the Rubio bin.

Made it easier to support Ted Cruz.

Why would Repubs want to revise our immigration laws when our current laws on illegal immigrants are being ignored by Obama? Do the RINOs really believe that Obama will enforce any restrictive measures in the "reformed" law?? When you are dealing with a lawless president and the unprincipled Reids, Durban, Schumers and Patty. Murrays of the Dems, why agree to change any law until exisiting ones are enforced??

If Cruz, Rubio and others wanted to show Americans what Obama is doing, they should invite the news media to join them as they inspect the 3, 5 and possibly 12 military bases holding captured invaders.

Mr. Paul - Let´s not.

No Compromise.

We are tired of Compromise, as it eats away at everything worthwhile that is America. Compromise is good if you are bartering for goods. It is not good when you are protecting a concept. Let me offer an example of the type of compromising we´ve been doing:

Two men barter and come to an agreement to exchange goods; 4 oranges for 5 Apples. When they next meet, they again barter - but Mr. Orange reminds Mr. Apple, that the agreement before had been 4:5. Therefore Apple demands they start the bargaining at that level. The new agreement is 2 Oranges for 6 Apples. This continues on until Mr. Apple no longer has any to barter. Mr. Orange then says, "Well, the only thing you have left to barter is your worthless hide. You and your family will be my slaves."

THAT is were compromising has been taking us, and I will stand for it, no more. Any more of this and members of the family Mr. Apple ´represents´ are going to pick up rocks and sticks from the ground, and beat Mr. Orange AND Mr. Apple to a pulp for 1. Attempting to enslave them and 2. Being stupid enough to fall for the gambit.

No Compromise means NO.

I agree with #1. Rand stepped on the slippery slope when he endorsed Mitch.

We can "Ditch Mitch" and his RINO cohorts in NOvember.

It would be a start.

The Dems will hold the Senate? IMO they are likely to do so anyway. Even if they are one or two seats down, they can flip a RINO or two.

Paul has put his goose on a low simmer and won´t be too much longer before it´s totally cooked. When he jumped on the bandwagon of endorsing McConnell showed he was trying to play on both sides of the fence.

His followers think all drugs will become legal if he is elected. Lots of his pappa in his personality/character even though he tries to deny it. Most telling was when he endorsed Romney while his father was still in the race.

Seems that Rand Paul has long taken the standard libertarian position of "open borders" (Open borders appeals to ultra pure libertarians - as national borders are a governmental intrusion on the ´freedom to migrate´). So this bleat is hardly out of character for him. What I do not understand is his rabid following by many posters on this site. Cruz and Paul are often lumped together but they could hardly be more different.

Assuming we take these politicians at their word that they really want immigration reform and not amnesty, can somebody, anybody, tell us exactly what in our current immigration system needs to be changed or reformed? I keep hearing this term tossed around but I don´t think I´ve ever heard anyone push to have it defined. I still don´t know what they want apart from amnesty.

#19, Napolitano is a libertarian, not a conservative. There are strong areas of agreement between libertarians and conservatives, but the PURE libertarian position on borders is that there shouldn´t be any at all, on the grounds that borders inhibit free migration.

Rand Paul has done all the teaching from day one. He wrote a book, The Tea Party Goes to Washington. The next day he sold out to a big reason why the TP was forced to exist, Mitch McConnell. Everyone who gave so much to help elect Rand was sucker punched. As were TP chances in Kentucky to unseat McConnell. Rand lectures us all the time for some reason. This week he lectures us that we must learn how to use language correctly, that´s our problem. War has been declared on the United States by its political class. Tens of thousands of children, babies, teens, etc. are being shipped over our border, airplanes are picking them up and flying them to new homes within our country and we have to pay for all of it. We were told right away that they can´t be sent back because they´re from Cent. America. Change the law. Any Republican should have grabbed a microphone the first day and called this for what it is. Instead, Rand Paul humiliates us again, advertises to the world that he´s so above us and certainly above the label Republican, so he calls Michael Bloomberg and Norquist, two of the most vicious human beings on the planet. Obviously this man is a major problem.

A month before former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called for President Barack Obama to be impeached on the pages of Breitbart News over his lawlessness on illegal immigration, Obama was already concerned that his unilateral actions on immigration could warrant impeachment. He even kind of joked with pro-amnesty activists not to push him to do something that would get him impeached. Here´s how Politico describes what occurred during a private meeting between Obama and pro-amnesty activists last month: President Barack Obama listened to immigration activists run through a long wish list of executive actions – then added a request of

Despite evidence that the current border crisis is at least partly the result of its previous executive action on immigration, the White House decided it was merely a "public relations problem" and moved forward with plans to issue further executive actions along similar lines. The New York Times has a piece out today which contains some new insight into the White House´s thinking about the border crisis and how it relates to the President´s stated goal of taking action on immigration without Congress. The Times article states, "In the days leading up to the Rose Garden speech, there were discussions in the

The central weakness of the Republican´s political position in Washington has been on vivid display as the situation at the southern border has devolved into a complete crisis. As tens of thousands of foreign nationals overwhelm the border and render our sovereign boundary meaningless, Republicans in DC are tinkering with legislative fixes they say will address the situation.
