Iraq´s borders are disappearing:
this is a disaster

Telegraph [UK], by Tom Rogan

Original Article

The Islamic State of Iraq and greater Syria (ISIS) is shredding Iraq. After seizing the northern city of Mosul on Monday, on Tuesday ISIS stormed down Iraq’s route 1 highway to take Tikrit. This victory has left them emboldened and only 110 miles from Baghdad. [Snip] What´s happening in Iraq and Syria today is the nightmare that drove George W Bush to gamble everything on his January 2007 surge. He knew that Iraq’s collapse might enable Al-Qaeda in Iraq to rip the Middle East apart. And today Al-Qaeda in Iraq’s successor--ISIS--have never been closer to their dream.

If Obama is trying to get a coalition together to send air strikes to Iraq like he did in Libya (i.e., pulling out at the last minute, leaving the quickly created coalition to deal with it), then he´s going to find out Cameron hasn´t forgotten--the UK Defence Minister has already announced that no troops will be sent to Iraq.

The democrat party, in general, never learned the lessons of Vietnam and in the particular, both 0bama and his party never learned the lesson of 9/11/2001.

#1 is like so many others that thing all of this is because of Obama´s incompetency, it is not! He know exactly what he´s doing! Look at Libya, Syria, Egypt, the release of the Taliban 5, and the open borders situation. He is setting up his Muslim friends to control the Middle East and attack the US and Israel before his term is up setting him up to take control under martial law. We are in deep doo doo with this guy!!

Just to be clear, Obama´s "democrat sycophants" include much more than the ones in his administration.

Primarily they include everyone (democrat or not) who voted for an inexperienced, immature charlatan full of empty rhetoric and the media who declined to report the whole truth about his red and his failures.

A catastrophic event is taking place in the Middle East as a result of our president and his liberal democratic cheerleading squad, Hillary and Kerry included. Our entire Middle East policy is a total disaster. How many more will have to die for their incompetence?

All the lib´s, most of the European governmental leaders, nearly all the diplomats of the world, will continue to suppose that a lot of talk and promises can avert disaster in Iraq.

Talk´s cheap in the West. It´s worthless in the Muslim Middle East. Peace in the Muslim world has never been achieved without the Iron Fist.

Kerry will shuttle around with plenty of talk. Hillary is relieved that she´s no longer Sec of State. Zippy will go play golf and leave it to ValJar to figure out.

Full disclosure, the only entities that I´m aware of in their pantheon are Allah and Mohammad (unless you in include all the various spellings ).

This is the result the Zippy and the left wanted. They needed to turn Iraq into a disaster to keep up the meme that Bush was an incompetent, war mongering fool. If the Iraq venture succeeded they would have had to admit they were wrong and they cannot accept that. They want it to fail to score political points against republicans and conservatives. That´s all they care about. They don´t give a hoot about the people of Iraq or the troops who suffered and died there.

Today he has a light schedule, and has not received the PDB:

10:55 AM - The President holds a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Tony Abbott of Australia; the Vice President also attends

12:30 PM - The President and the Vice President meet for lunch

25 PM - The President honors the WNBA Champion Minnesota Lynx

Obama wants this to happen to prove the antiwar people right. They can say Iraq was all for nothing. We made a commitment when we went to war their to stay until the country was stabilized. Obama went back on that commitment by pulling our troops out prematurely. Now we have the choice of either losing Iraq to extremists or losing more American lives in trying to clean up this mess.

That was McCain in 2008 on Iraq. He was mocked by Obama and the media. Sometimes he´s not an old fool, he was very prescient. We are on the verge of having an al qaeda superstate in the Middle East. In control of great quantities of oil. This will be a huge victory over the great satan of the west. Obama has made the world a very dangerous place.

# 14 It´s closer to 4500 American soldiers and Marines
who gave their lives
so Barry could flush away Iraq.
Barry´s incompetence , impotence and inertia
has reached levels that should alarm every American
regardless of political affiliation.
He´s literally in the bunker..on the golf course.
He sets fires all over the world and
then goes into a fetal position.
This is Disaster # 3 in just over a week and he´s decided that spending time with a women´s basketball team
is his top priority.
Barry never ever should have pulled out all the troops.
Just their presence would have been a deterrent.
He never should have given exact dates to the terrorists.
And when Maliki asked for air strikes back when
the ISIS take over began,
Barry should have responded.
It´s too late, now IMHO..
It´s time for patriotic Democrats
to seriously consider whether
Barry has become too incapacitated to stay in office.
Are there any Wise Men left in the Democrat Party ?
BTW- The flag draped coffins are still coming home from AFG.
We lost Pfc. Matthew Walker , 20 of Hillsboro , Missouri
on June 5 , in Paktika Province Afghanistan after his unit was attacked by enemy fire.
Paktika is where Bug Out Bergdahl deserted.
On June 3, Capt. Jason Jones of Orwigsburg , PA
died in Jalalabad,
Afghanistan from wounds received from small arms fire.
He was buried in the West Point Cemetery on Tuesday.

Didn´t I read somewhere that the middle east will be the site of Armageddon? And isn´t that the final battle between good and evil? And is the precursor of the second coming of Christ? Are we seeing the beginnings of the end times? I would be so happy to look up and see Jesus descending from the Heavens.

I can only pray to the God up above us.

American Leftists are ashamed when America wins, and do whatever they can to prevent it. Leftists abroad cheer when American loses, and do what they can to facilitate its loss.

This is not news to anyone, and most certainly not to the electorate who placed a Leftist in the Oval Office in 2008. It´s why they did it. And they are dead set on doing it again with The Smart Woman in 2016.

My first deployment to Iraq was in ´06-´07 (mid Surge. After countless firefights, IEDs and losing dozens of my friends and colleagues and seeing dozens more gravely wounded, I was simply thrilled to have made it home. When I deployed again in ´09-´10, I found a far more pacified nation. Being an interrogator (but embedded with the infantry, I had a much easier time of it the second go round, with only the occasional IED/EFP and only 2 major firefights, such as they we, and those led by the middling Iraqi Security Forces. While the war itself was a mistake in my opinion, I was of the opinion that it was highly necessary to utilize the means at our disposal to maintain our hard-gotten gains in that country. What it cost us in American lives is immeasurable. What it cost in treasure is staggering. But, we owed it to the fallen (and regional/national security) to keep things on track. Our President cared nothing for the sacrifices of my brothers and our sister services and today we pay the price for his dereliction of duty. Please forgive me this long, rambling rant. This makes me mildly emotional and angry beyond words. Thanks for letting me get this out, L-Dotters.

May the Lord bless you, #34, and all of your colleagues in uniform. You did your jobs honorably and well, and gave Iraq an opportunity to better the lives of its citizens. But when Zero pulled the entire American military presence out of Iraq, it destabilized the entire region. As happened before in Vietnam, our troops won virtually every battle, then our political masters piddled away the results of all the expended blood and treasure.

Some pundits on Middle Eastern affairs have said that Prime Minister Maliki has deliberately reduced Iraqi security forces in Anbar and other areas that were hotbeds of insurgency. They believe that Maliki himself may have ordered these attacks, hoping that, after losing the election last month, he could stay in power by declaring a state of emergency, something that he will not be allowed to do. One of the world´s great thieves, he knows his fate might be the same as Saddam´s: short rope, long drop. What I´m saying is that there is more to this situation than meets the eye.

The best way to honor the fallen is to steadfastly ensure that they did not die in vain. Add this travesty to several recent events that demonstrate that despite any lip service, this Administration has absolutely no regard for our men and women in uniform.

Who can trust the word of the US while this crowd is in charge?

Be afraid, Israel, Taiwan, Japan, and Eastern Europe: be very afraid. Many in the US itself have been afraid of what this crowd might do, for a while now. Unfortunately, the political party that should be applying the brakes to this is MIA.

Impeach - now.

This size of offensive must have been long in the planning and we must have gotten plenty of warnings that something was coming. And if we knew a major Sunni/Shia civil war was about to launch in Iraq we could project that it would likely drag Iran into it as well, and possibly Afghanistan and Pakistan. Did we hurry to make a last minute cut-and-run deal to get Bergdahl back before this offensive began, anticipating that the entire Muslim middle east was about to erupt in flames? With the bloodthirsty Isis savages running this war, who are too hard core even for alqaeda, a handful of Taliban now seems like small potatoes. Hell just broke loose.

It sickens me to see that Osama bin Laden, though dead only three years, has proven to be right about American Democrats. He saw what happened in Vietnam, saw the impotence of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, and correctly predicted that he could train an army to outlast this impotent man we have in the American presidency. I´m sure he scoffed at the pants-wearing Hillary as well - along with the rest of the butch females in Obama´s NSA and foreign policy leadership team.

Our men can win the war and then the fools like Kerry, Hillary, and Barry throw it all away. I can hardly contain my disgust and disdain for the cowards.

People who are most concerned about climate change use more electricity than those who believe it to be not so serious a threat, a government study has found. The Household Electricity Survey, commissioned by the Department for Energy and Climate Change, said that this discrepancy may be due to the fact that older people, who are most likely to not see climate change as a threat, are generally more frugal with their energy consumption: [Snip] However, even with over-65s removed, there is still only a weak trend suggesting that people who profess to care about the environment actually do more

The Obama administration quietly announced on Tuesday that it intends to change the way Americans learn about natural disasters and other major emergencies during radio and TV broadcasts, giving the president the ability to flip a switch and address the entire nation at once. The Emergency Alert System, the latest version of a program first established in 1951, blasts out emergency messages in the event of local weather emergencies, but can also be used to warn Americans about terror attacks and major natural disasters. The first Israeli was killed by a missile fired from Gaza on Tuesday night setting the week-long conflict on course for an even bloodier new phase with Israel poised to escalate its military offensive. A 38-year-old man was pronounced death at Askelon´s Barzilai medical centre after suffering severe shrapnel wounds from a missile fired on Tuesday afternoon, according to initial Israeli media reports. The reports suggested he was an ultra-Orthodox rabbi distributing food to Israeli soldiers near the Erez border crossing into Gaza. Hamas´s military wing, the Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades, claimed responsibility for the death, saying they had killed a soldier in a

Pope Francis has called for ´urgent intervention´ to welcome and protect minors traveling on their own from Central and South America to the United States in increasing numbers. The pontiff said today that such measures should include an information campaign on the dangers of the journey. He called on the international community to rise to the challenge and adopt ´new forms of legal and safe migration.´ Tens of thousands of children have streamed from chaotic Central American nations in recent months to the U.S. border, overwhelming the government´s ability to respond. Francis issued his message in a letter to a Vatican conference

In his message to the “Mexico/Holy See Colloquium on Migration and Development,” Pope Francis characterized the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have crossed the U.S. southern border as a product of globalization, suggesting that the phenomenon is happening worldwide. Francis proclaimed, “Despite the large influx of migrants present in all continents and in almost all countries, migration is still seen as an emergency, or as a circumstantial and sporadic fact, while instead it has now become a hallmark of our society and a challenge.” Emmer McCarthy for Vatican Radio said Francis expressed his concern for “the tens of thousands of

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. It had to come sometime, and it came in one very bad week for the Democrats: that the many big problems with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama finally grew too great for the press to ignore. Obama in his own different way is heading towards Nixon-like levels of weirdness, as, beaten down by the failures regarding his ventures, he appears to have quit his own job. A.B. Stoddard of the Hill says in effect he has stopped being president and chooses to live in a world of his own, shutting out the problems that have become overwhelming, giving dinners where he talks

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

WASHINGTON — It was an enduring image of his presidency: a chastened Bill Clinton walking his dog while wife Hillary keeps her distance as the family leaves town at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal — but it was all part of a contrived public-repentance campaign, according to a new book. With Bill on the skids and his wife’s future prospects on the line, it was necessary for the pubic to see the president being punished, said Weekly Standard online editor Daniel Halper in his new book, “Clinton, Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.” “They understood that
