Attorney General Eric Holder blasts Boy
Scouts for anti-gay discrimination

Dallas Morning News, (TX), by Timothy M. Phelps,

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder said Tuesday that the Irving-based Boy Scouts of America perpetuates “the worst stereotypes” by barring gay people from becoming Scout leaders. “The continuation of a policy that discriminates against gay adult leaders — by an iconic American institution — only preserves and perpetuates the worst kind of stereotypes,” Holder said in a speech to the gay civil rights group Lambda Legal in Washington. Holder did not announce any legal action against the Boy Scouts. A Supreme Court decision 14 years ago said the Scouts, as a private entity, had a right to discriminate against

The reality of the situation is that the BSA won their SCOTUS case base on OUR freedom of association after a homosexual leader refused to adhere Scouting principles and tried to sell his gay agenda to the kids.
Additionally, although the homo lobby and people like Holder refuse to address it, homosexual behavior is right next to pedophilia on the spectrum of sexual perversion with significant overlap. The BSA would be remiss to say the least if it didn´t do all it could to keep these sorts away from our kids.
Holder is a liar and advocate for child abuse.

A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.

Compare with Eric Holder. That is why he and his liberal friends hate the scouts.

I read or heard someone say Eric Holder is Obama´s "Heat Shield" and that as long as he is at DOJ, nothing will touch the administration. I wish I could properly attribute the statement, because I believe it to be terribly, tragically, and irrevocably true.

Th Boy Scout organizational leadership recognizes that, besides the moral aspects, if they OK gay leadership in the scout movement that a huge number of parents and especially religious based organizations will end their relationship with the Boy Scout organization.

There is a better approach. Right now Holder & gay activists and this Administration along with every liberal on the planet is painting anti-gay philosophies as anti-civil-rights. The gay issue should be define by the Right properly -- this is what I believe:

Gay people are as good as anyone else. They can also be as bad as anyone else. In short, they should be treated equally, not given special status on any matter.

That said, when a person is openly gay and doesn´t consider what he or she is doing as as immoral, that carries over into morality spheres that many parents don´t want their children exposed to.

People against homosexuality are against it for religious and moral reasons, the latter usually stemming from their faith. They should not be forced to expose their children to teaching that does directly against what their faith teaches. This doesn´t mean they hate or fear gays - it means only that they consider the behavior sinful mainly because the practitioners do not hold the same moral code as they do.

As a Christian, I find gay people like anyone else and do not avoid them, make fun of them or look upon them as anything other than sinners like the rest of us. The difference is that they don´t think they are committing sin.

The Boy Scouts have a right to associate with those of their choice so long as they don´t accept federal money.

My understanding is that this is part of the Girl Scout policy:

"Specifically, men may not participate alone with girls and will not take girls on overnights, camping trips, extended trips, or events without two female adults."

So, let´s analyze this. Let me re-write it.

"Specifically, gay men may not participate alone with boys and will not take boys on overnights, camping trips, extended trips, or events without two heterosexual male adults."

The first version makes total sense to me, as young girls have the right to be in a safe, all-female environment without sexual tension, where they can be free and relax. I, as a hetero male, do not believe that statement indicates that men cannot be trusted and are pedophiles.

My re-write would be considered hateful and bigoted, and would absolutely be considered as that which associates all gay orientation with pedophilia.

Oh, all this talk about adult males and teenage girls is just "the worst stereotypes." We all know how honorable and morally upright liberals are. Sex with children is next on their agenda. After that, who knows? Sex with animals?
Since the Supreme Court has already ruled that a private entity has the right to discriminate, why don´t they just shut their face about it? Liberals and the Washington elite certainly associate with whom they wish; and openly discriminate against and slander all others.

All private organizations should be able to select, chose and associate with a preference. Regardless of age, gender, race, religion or ethnicity.

If I am German should I require the Knights of Columbus to accept me? If I am female, should the Rotary accept me (well that was resolved by a lawsuit)? If I am under age 50, should the retirement communinty refuse me access to housing? If I am Jewish cannot I attend a Catholic ceremony for Easter?

The point being is that private instituitions should be able to discriminate.

I prefer red wine over white. I prefer rich men over poor men. My health club requires a certain income requirement for membership. Should I require my health club to accept welfare recipients at my expense?

Should all-girl schools allow boys and vice versa?

Frankly, I have no problem with gay and lesbian people. Most of us probaby have a relative or close friend that is gay, lesbian or transgender. So?

But private institutions have the right to select their membership. Period.
