Cantor Loses
Politico, by Jake Sherman

Original Article

Dave Brat, a local economics professor, toppled House Majority Leader Eric Cantor on Tuesday night in the most shocking primary defeat since Republicans took the House in 2010. The conservative challenger’s victory halts one of the most meteoric rises in national politics, and illustrates the strong anti-incumbent fever that has taken over Cantor’s Richmond-area district. Cantor is the second House incumbent to lose this primary season — Texas GOP incumbent Ralph Hall was defeated by a tea-party backed challenger at the end of May. Cantor’s defeat not only reorders Virginia politics, where Cantor was the highest-ranking

Here we have Cantor pushing amnesty and committing political suicide.

The same issue, if the Republicans facilitate it, will cause the establishment Republicans to commit long-term political suicide for themselves and the Republican Party.

The big reason that Obama and the liberal Democrats are pushing amnesty is that they know from past amnesties that about 85% of legalized aliens who get US voting rights have become reliable Democrat voters and we are talking about 15 to 20 million of them.

Sounds good to me.

But remember, this frees Cantor to return to Washington and vote for amnesty and trade favors. He has nothing to lose.

For seven months his inner RINO will be on display. It may not be pretty.

Anyone defeated should leave office almost immediately. An Amendment is needed. Toss in term limits too.

Perhaps the Richmond Zoo could offer Cantor a position in the RINO exhibit, that odd area where specimens look normal but are actually DemoRats inside.

Paul Ryan is another RINO better suited for the National Zoo than the House. Hopefully John Boehner will be offered a similar spot at Busch Gardens Zoo in Tampa so that he can avoid having to have his ridiculous spray on tan.

The fate of amnesty legislation this year may depend on House Majority Leader Eric Cantor´s (R-VA) margin of victory Tuesday in a primary campaign that has surprisingly emerged as a high-profile immigration battle. While a trio of House Republicans – Reps. Mick Mulvaney (R-SC), Paul Ryan (R-WI), and Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) – are canvassing the GOP conference on whether there is appetite to tackle immigration before the August recess, Cantor has had to fend off a long-shot, underfunded economics professor who rose in the polls by relentlessly attacking Cantor on the issue. Last week, the Indiana state legislature passed further reductions in corporate business tax rates that, within eight years, will establish the Hoosier State as having the lowest business tax rate in the country. Indiana Governor Mike Pence has said that he plans to sign it into law. The bill will lower the corporate income tax rate each year through 2022, when the 4.9% rate will become the lowest corporate rate in the U.S. It also provides three options for local governments to lower the business personal property tax. This is good news for Indiana, which is rapidly becoming a pro-growth

Describing their desire for change, people used phrases like "break the system."
