Hillary Clinton backpedals on

WASHINGTON — Hillary Clinton attempted to walk back remarks that she and her husband came out of the White House “dead broke” — saying she knows their life is “obviously blessed.” “Let me just clarify that I fully appreciate how hard life is for so many Americans today,” Clinton said on ABC’s “Good Morning America” Tuesday. “Bill and I were obviously blessed. We worked hard for everything we got in our lives … So for me it’s just a reality what we faced when he got out of the White House, it meant that we just had to keep working really hard.” Her

Certainly, one can understand why they took the WH silverware with them when they exited office... It´s as the late Alan Clark said of his political opponent, "The trouble with Michael is that he had to buy all his furniture..." Ho ho. The British version of the Trailer Trash Clintons.

As I recall, Hillary opened a Gift Registry to furnish her new houses (to augment what she was able to steal from the White House. Terry McAuliffe bought the one in Chappaqua. He then helped them get a really good mortgage to repay himself. The taxpayers of the US are making the mortgage payments by renting the guesthouse for the permanent Secret Service Agents who live there. The rent for the SS covers the monthly mortgage payments. And that, dear friends, is why we call them The Grifters.

The Clintons, just like other top political families become wealthy by very skillfully and legally letting taxpayers pay their bills. Hillary and Bill, however, are in a class by themselves. They are outright thieves and cheats.

In an interview with National Public Radio’s David Folkenflik, former CBS investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson said that the network discouraged her from pursuing stories on the Obama administration, and seemingly lost interest in her government watchdog stories to the point that they kept them off the air. Here are some excerpts from Attkisson’s interview: “You know, times I’ve been encouraged to begin covering stories about the Obama administration but then mid-stream I’ve been clearly discouraged from continuing to pursue them as the stories seem to start to get dicey, or as I seem to be able to turn up very good

I heard two explosions, one after the other, indicating that two Kassam rockets had struck my town, Sderot, Israel, at about 1:30 last Thursday morning. Having been through the big fire of last week, when a Kassam ignited a paint factory, I looked out my window for any sign of fire. I saw none. I considered going out to look for the damage, but I knew nobody would be in the streets at that hour. Nobody would be able to direct me in the direction of the bombing. I listened for ambulance or fire-engine sirens, but I heard none. I

Last week, conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt interviewed Zach Carter, who is The Huffington Post‘s senior political economy reporter. The interview’s purpose was to discuss Carter’s negative response to Hewitt’s previous interview of former Vice President Dick Cheney. The interview was lively and interesting but it did not go well for Carter, who was forced to admit his ignorance of the historical context of the situation in Iraq. Looked at one way, the interview might almost seem like pointless point-scoring. In response to Hewitt’s questions, Carter admitted he didn’t know who Alger Hiss was and that he hadn’t read The Looming

Clooney issued a statement accusing the Mail of irresponsibility in publishing what he said was "a completely fabricated story." It stated that Alamuddin´s mother, Baria,

Mark Zuckerberg’s immigration reform push had all the capital, connections and star power to merit success. But not even Silicon Valley could make this investment — and the Facebook founder’s first foray into national politics — pay off. Tech leaders poured millions into FWD.us, an immigration advocacy group that has dominated ad buys, launched elaborate hackathons and coddled conservatives in an effort to revamp the country’s immigration system. It galloped into the debate with the tech industry’s classic certainty but wound up facing the same obstacles that have halted reform for decades.

Exploding shells and rockets rattled me awake in the early hours of a misty Tuesday morning in Saigon. I scrambled to my hotel roof and watched as fireballs, smoke and debris burst across the city’s famous airport — once one of the busiest in the world, now shut down as thousands desperate to evacuate jammed the hangars. Despite fiery statements issued by Hamas spokesmen over the past 48 hours, it was obvious Tuesday night that the Islamist movement was searching for ways to rid itself of the current escalation. Hamas feels that it has been forced into a confrontation with Israel – one that it did not want at this stage because of its increased isolation and financial crisis. The massive Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours have surprised Hamas and other Palestinian groups. Hamas apparently expected a limited response to the recent rocket attacks on Israeli cities and towns. But as the

President Obama’s ultimate weakness may be that he believes his own blarney. A year ago, Mr. Obama boasted in a “fireside” Web chat that his “is the most transparent administration in history.” There was not the slightest hint of irony. He may actually believe it.
