90% of children diagnosis with Downs are aborted. They have been deemed subhuman, worthless, unnecessary burdens on society. When some kind of lab test can determine if a baby will be born within the "autism spectrum" they too will be demonized and rendered to the trash heap. After all we cannot expect obamacare tax dollars to pay for such a high maintenance person who will not contribute but only consume tax dollars.

Women are choosing to start having children later in life. Certainly since the beginning of the "great recession", delayed timing of births has reduced the total fertility rate - the delays have also increased the number of mothers conceiving in their late 30s when chances of Downs - and yes also autism - rise sharply.

We decry "teenage pregnancy" but 19 is a very healthy age to reproduce, 39 - not so much.

We are told a society can be judged by how it treats ithe most vulnerable. Today we are giving better care to illegal alien children dumped here than we give to the adult disabled, autistic, etc. citizens who deserve our help. Special Ed will help, but will not FIX autistism or intellectual disability. We are desperate for adult residential housing and staff to service it. Instead we get higher budgets for bloated bureaucracies. Not sure if this article is a wake up call, or a trial balloon to euthanize the disabled!

From a purely biological standpoint, it´s true that older mothers are more likely to bear children with medical problems. This risk is almost certainly outweighed, however, more than outweighed by the increased emotional, social, and financial stability that a mature couple can provide. I´d submit that statistically, children of older couples are more likely to be well-adjusted and successful, even when the (relatively small) chance of giving birth to an autistic or Down´s individual are factored in, and that the latter factors are not a sufficient argument for youthful parenting.

Fox News, by Staff*    Original Article

A high-level Shiite cleric in Iraq issued a warning to American military advisers bound for Iraq Friday, hours before Sunni militants captured a crossing on Iraq´s border with Syria and Shiite militia members paraded in Baghdad and other cities. Sky News reports that Nassir al-Saedi, a cleric loyal to the firebrand Muqtada al-Sadr, referred to America as "the occupier" in a sermon during Friday prayers and added "We will be ready for you if you are back." On Thursday, President Barack Obama announced that the U.S. would send 300 military advisers to provide intelligence and training to the Iraqi army in its

Why the Middle East´s borders

CNN, by Scott Anderson    Original Article

Many observers gazing upon the current bloodshed in the Middle East have wondered aloud if we are seeing the disintegration of the nation-state boundaries established in the region nearly a century ago. But the crises in Iraq and Syria have simply laid bare a phenomenon that has been under way for quite some time. What´s more, this process is now almost certainly irreversible, and will lead to a radically different Middle Eastern map than we have known. In the heady early days of the Arab Spring, many people imagined that the Arab world might finally be entering a period of greater democratization,

It is a near-perfect storm that has come together as Hillary Rodham Clinton tours the country promoting her new book and preparing for a possible presidential campaign in 2016. At a time when she is drawing attention to her record as secretary of state, the Middle East has become dangerously chaotic and President Obama’s approval ratings are sliding. That has left Clinton in a difficult position of trying to claim success when she was in office while shielding herself, carefully, from real or perceived weaknesses in the administration’s handling of crises in Syria, Iraq, Libya and other trouble spots. The federal government refuses to let one of the most controversial Internet bills ever conceived die. CISPA, as it was known when it was introduced in 2011, made a temporary resurgence last year only to meet the same opposition that had blocked its passage two years before. But as Vice has discovered, the bill is back under consideration by the U.S. Senate under a slightly altered name. The Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2014 “incentivizes the sharing of cybersecurity threat information between the private sector and the government and among private sector entities,” according to a press release published on

The reality is within the Bergdahl deal, and the GITMO-5 to Qatar, there is a far more likely reason.Ahmed Abu Khattala is directly connected to the covert transfer of U.S. arms from Qatar to Libya in the initial 2011
