The Florida state legislature approved a measure to extend in-state tuition benefits to illegal immigrants over a month ago, and Monday, it got the signature of approval from Republican Gov. Rick Scott. “Making sure all Floridians have access to an affordable higher education is one of my top priorities,” Scott said in the press release. “Signing this historic legislation today will keep tuition low, and allow all students who grew up in Florida to have the same access to affordable higher education. With this legislation, higher education became more affordable and more accessible to all Floridians.” According to the Orlando Sentinel, the

If they´re illegal immigrants, how can they be included as Floridians? It seems these politicians have a problem with the english language. And so it goes.

WHY force Floridians to subsidize illegal aliens? This money is from Floridians FOR Floridians. AND by the way Governor, dump Common Core if you really care that our children receive a quality education.

Why do politicians have such a problem with the definition of ´illegal´ ?

Every illegal sitting in college takes the place of a legal citizen who pays taxes.

MINNEAPOLIS — Best-selling author Vince Flynn died just over a year ago, but his terrorist-fighting protagonist Mitch Rapp will live on in new books written by someone else, Flynn’s publisher says. Simon & Schuster and Flynn’s estate have commissioned thriller writer Kyle Mills to complete Flynn’s unfinished novel, “The Survivor,” and to write two more books in the Rapp series. “The Survivor” is tentatively scheduled to hit shelves next year. Similar deals have kept James Bond and other action heroes alive long after their creators. Flynn’s longtime editor, Emily Bestler, told The Associated Press that continuing the Rapp series was

Hillary Clinton has accepted her husband Bill´s philandering ways but told him that ´when we are back in the White House, he´ll have to behave,´ according to a new book by former Newsweek editor Ed Klein. That´s ´when,´ not ´if.´ But Hillary´s apparent certainty about her presidential plans has taken a back seat in reviews of the book, ´Blood Feud,´ to accounts of vicious backbiting between the Clintons and the Obamas. Even tales of exploits of the former ´first cheater´ have garnered little notice. According to Klein, Hillary told friends that Bill is ´having another of his middle-age crises.´ And she doesn´t seem to

That was his only option since his own party’s radical left-wing senators didn’t want to be seen with him. Obama descended on Minnesota on Thursday where freshman Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) is seeking reelection. Obama won Minnesota by 10 points in 2008 and 8 points in 2012. The Environmental Protection Agency on Friday proposed federal approval of climate-friendly refrigerants used in household air conditioners and refrigerators, as part of President Obama’s quest to counter global warming. The action, part of the agency’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program, is aimed at lowering greenhouse gas emissions. “This proposal is a great example of how businesses and EPA can foster innovation by working together to identify refrigerants that better protect our environment,” EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy said. Under the SNAP program, one facet of the president’s bid to tackle climate change through regulatory action, the agency is trying to identify substitutes for

President Obama faces a wrenching dilemma over immigration that has significant implications for the 2014 midterm election and his legacy. Should he use his executive powers to stop most deportations? He is under heavy pressure from pro-immigrant groups to do so. Democratic strategists say such a move would spur turnout among Latino voters. But such a dramatic gambit could also destroy any chance of legislative compromise with Republicans in 2015. The president must wrestle with a longer-term question, as well. If he takes only limited executive action this year, he then must decide how much ground he is willing to

Were Lois Lerner’s allegedly lost emails actually destroyed? An Ohio-based trade association, the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers (IAITAM), isn’t so sure, and they don’t find IRS commissioner Koskinen’s explanation of their loss very plausible. IAITAM administers internationally accepted certifications for information technology professionals. According to the group’s standards, if Lerner’s supposedly malfunctioning hardware was properly destroyed, there would be records of it. Dr. Barbara Rembiesa, president of IAITAM, questions whether there is documentation of the destruction of the files. Who performed the work, says Rembiesa, is important because not all IT professionals are IAITAM certified. “The notion

What transpired in the Mississippi Senate run-off is a red line for many conservatives across the country, because the Republican Party establishment essentially took a civil war and escalated it to a war for independence. It’s one thing to oppose your base in a primary. It’s entirely another to despicably play the race card against your base, and bolster the legitimacy of the propaganda of our race-baiting opponents on the Left. But that’s exactly what the Kamikaze pilots running the GOP did. As a result, Chris McDaniel won Republican voters handily on Tuesday, but still lost the run-off statewide thanks
