Arizona orders 2,000 mattresses

Mattresses, portable toilets and showers were brought in Saturday for 700 unaccompanied minors who spent the night sleeping on plastic cots inside an Arizona warehouse, a federal official said. A Homeland Security official told The Associated Press that about 2,000 mattresses have been ordered to the makeshift holding center — a warehouse that has not been used to house people in years. Gov. Jan Brewer´s spokesman, Andrew Wilder, said Friday that conditions at the center are so dire that federal officials have asked the state to immediately ship medical supplies to the center in Nogales. This is one of the most sickening, outrageous thing I have seen allowed happen to this country. Obama and Holder should be in jail for what they are doing. I don´t know how much more of this our country can withstand. Jan Brewer must be apoplectic. Call in the National Guard! She has that right. Can you imagine what the Democrats would say if a Republican president caused this to happen to these children!!

What really gets me is that if you or I were to abandon our kids like these disgusting parents, make no mistake, we would be in jail. I am getting sick and tired of having to follow laws while others simply don´t have to. Sickening.

What about all of us displaced American CITIZENS who can no longer afford to live here because there are too many illegal people vying for limited housing as well as all the rich foreign investors who are allowed to purchase American soil for cash even though they are not even residents (let alone citizens!)?? What are they doing about people like me who cannot afford to live in my own home state anymore? Why are they allowing foreigners to overrun us from every corner of the world and we citizens are struggling to survive? I am homeless and moving into a trashed RV tomorrow because rent has tripled here over the last 3 years even though the economy has fallen and jobs are impossible for my roommate to find. The illegals get aid and checks and food stamps...we get NOTHING but heartache and loss. This is NOT my country anymore!! Now we are taking in tens of thousands of children and putting them up for free because Obama gave the Latin Americans incentive to invade us??? God help us all!!

As noted elsewhere, the feds made the mess and now ask the state officials to help handle it.

Normally the feds would be treating the state like dirt. That policy will be resumed soon.

A top Iranian defense official´s claim that a U.S. military base in the Indian Ocean is now within missile range served both as a threat to American interests and a revelation that, if true, Tehran has doubled its striking distance. "In the event of an irrational attack by the U.S., America´s military bases will not be safe from our missiles, whether in Bahrain or at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean," the senior official, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) adviser Mojtaba Zonnour, was quoted as saying to Iran´s "Defa Moghadas," or Holy Defense. That’s what’s driving the children to our borders of the United States,” Gutierrez told MSNBC this morning. The state of Arizona had to step in after the Border Patrol was keeping some 700 children in a holding center without proper sanitation or sleeping

Pearl Harbor, D-Day, the Kennedy assassination, the first moonwalk, and September 11, 2001. These are dates any American with even a rudimentary understanding of American history knows. You can graduate from a public school and still know those dates. Unfortunately, the Google-challenged geniuses President Obama put in charge of his Twitter account (and identity-politics´ propaganda) do not know at least one of these dates. The first moon walk did not happen in 1963, it happened in 1969 -- July 20, 1969. This is the Twitter account of the President of the United States. The President.

Hoyer, the Democratic whip, said Obama had the authority under the Constitution to trade the five Taliban prisoners for Bergdahl without notifying Congress. "I´m an institutionalist, but on this issue, I think the administration is correct in terms of its authority," Hoyer said. "And I think the 30-day notice requirement that was in the law was inconsistent with the Constitution." Still, Hoyer said it would have been "wise policy" for the White House to have informed congressional leaders about

A massive surge of illegal immigrants is creating a crisis at the Mexican border, and newly leaked photos reveal hundreds of immigrant children packed into detention centers. It´s believed many of the undocumented immigrants are under the impression that if they get across to the U.S., they will not be sent back to their home country. Many predict the problem will go from bad to worse. Officials say 6,560 unaccompanied minors crossed the border in 2011. This year, it’s estimated that the number will jump to more than 90,000. A Democratic congressman offered a curious analogy on Monday to explain why the U.S. is dealing with the Taliban -- apparently comparing them to soldiers in the American Revolution. According to sources, Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., made the comparison during a House briefing late Monday with administration officials on the trade of Taliban members for American Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Nadler apparently made the point that the Taliban, as non-state actors, have a status similar to that of American soldiers who fought the British during the Revolutionary War. This comparison, Fox News is told, was met with a lot of groaning by other lawmakers. Several

But even for a Senator—an elected office with the backing of an entire state—ticking off powerful people can have consequences. (Snip) A week after his election to the Senate in 2012, Cruz was named vice chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which works to elect Republicans to the Senate. But he subsequently refused to endorse incumbent senators, or help them in their races, a fact that many Tea Party insurgents have seized upon. He hasn’t set foot in the NRSC in more than a year, sources say.

Since its first introduction into our lexicon, the definition of the word metrosexual has changed several times. At first it was used to describe young, urban males who were more interested in fashion, grooming and appearance than the traditional masculine male. Sexuality ran the gamut from officially gay, straight or bisexual. Then an article in Salon.com by Mark Simpson narrowed it down to the following: "He might be officially gay, straight or bisexual, but this is utterly immaterial because he has clearly taken himself as his own love object and pleasure as his sexual preference." Retailers are starting to push a new trend in menswear: the short suit. The ensemble looks like a regular suit from the waist up, with a sport coat over a button-down shirt and sometimes a tie or bowtie. Instead of trousers, however, the suit´s bottoms are cropped at the knee. J. Crew, Topman, Asos, and Barneys are among the retailers selling the short suit this season.
