Hillary Clinton: We were dead broke
Washington Free Beacon, by Staff

Original Article

Hillary Clinton, who recently raked in $5 million dollars in speaking fees in 15 months, recounted to Diane Sawyer the sad tale of her former destitution, telling her, “We came out of the White House not only dead broke but in debt.” According to Clinton, she and her husband, who has made over $100 million since leaving the White House, “struggled to, you know, piece together the resources for mortgages for houses, for Chelsea’s education, you know, it was not easy.” But, as Clinton’s story goes, the two hard-working, middle-class millionaires somehow managed to put food on the table in

She had to buy her pantsuits on clearance at Wal Mart. That´s how broke they were.

Then why did they buy a house in the most expensive county outside NYC?

Perhaps that explains what happened to part of the $5 billion unaccounted for at the State Dept.

This woman makes me sick.

Morally bankrupt, yes.
Financially strapped, baloney.

This is just one reminder what a major mistake it was for the Repubs. to let the Clinton/Rodham crime syndicate slide on the illegal campaign contributions, the Chinese money scandal and opting to not indict Her Royal Thighness on the Arkansas land scams (if you recall, there was enough evidence to bring charges, but they got cold feet and let her waddle away).

You just have no idea how difficult it can be to get by on $400,000 a year with free room and board. We had to walk around in the neighborhood picking up soda bottles for the deposit money. We had patches on all of our clothes. We had to count every penny, just so Bill could enjoy an occasional cigar.

Q: What would happen if all the 80,000,000 documents, presently confined to that hideous looking oversized "double wide" on the banks of the Arkansas River, were ever made "public"?

A: "Bonnie & Clyde" Clinton, and half the members of their notorious "Ozark Gang," would end up in a federal penitentiary---underneath the jail!

Gee ... for two people who are supposed to be so smart:

1. Hillary was so savvy that she was able to make $100,000 on a $1,000 cattle futures investment.

2. Why, when they knew the job was only four years and maybe another four years ... that they didn´t plan for the future - considering that they still had a daughter to educate. They had free room and board for 8 years. What did they do with WJC´s salary?

3. Why should we trust her with the financial well being of the US when both of them together were unable to manage their own finances and plan ahead.

I don´t think a person who is dead broke buys a second home on Embassy Row in DC for over a million dollars. Obviously, they have a credibility and fiscal fiduciary problem.

As for the Terry McAuliff loan for the NY residence - he made millions off a failed company before it went under & IIRC he parked the proceeds in the Cayman Islands.

Bill had legal fees due to his numerous affairs.
Recall, they bought a mansion and turned around and charged their secret service rent of 10 thousand/year for their guest house.
They had book deals each which made a pre payment of 10 and 8 thousand respectively.
then bill set up is office in Harlem, which cost a few pennies.
Then speaking engagements which were a nice profit.
I can´t cry for the couple who reduced tax
on Bill under ware donation to Goodwill. Sorry!

Wherever I´ve lived, used underwear cannot be sold at Goodwill/Salvation Army. The tax deduction is to be the price that the item would sell for in the store. Obviously, NOT a proper tax deduction.
Remember when HRC and her gang stiffed a single mom waitress in upstate NY. They paid up when it was made public.

Dead broke? After having virtually every major expense for 8 years paid for by the taxpayers, their massive campaign funds or their rich friends? How did they manage to buy two houses if they were broke? If someone spends all of their money on several million dollar homes, are they broke? Broke means you have nothing. As usual, some pigs are more equal than others.

Then the Clinton´s should sell their house in Montego Bay!!
But maybe thay say they are broke because thy are not including their off shore accounts.
The Clinton´s made millions when bill was gov.of Arkansas by funneling state government legal work thru the rose law firm. She was paid $400,000 a year for being the designated lawyer. She was also on the boards of corp. like wal mart, and TCBY. The Clinton´s had 50% interest in mcDougals Whitewater land development scheme. When it went belly up McDougal kicked in tens of thousands of dollars to cover the Clinton´s debt. Clinton´s then took huge tax deduction on losses, even tho thet had put up no money of their own.
She also made money with a commodities broker Red Bone..don´t forget the Tyson chicken scandal.
Oh and where is the 15 million they got from the Chinese for our secrets
She sure can´t budget her money!!!!

#45 -- "poor girl from the backwaters of Arkansas" -- a touch of irony there, right?

She´s Arkansan by adoption only (if "adoption" is the right word for latching onto the coattails of an up-and-coming Yale Law classmate), having grown up in one of the better-heeled suburbs of Chicago before going off to Wellesley.

Of course, never having had the nerve to bring myself to crack any of her (lame ghostwritten) books, and being aware of her love-hate relationship with objective truth, I wouldn´t be surprised to hear that she´s claiming a more, shall we say, populist background. ((shudder))

Thad Cochran’s political resurrection began with a campaign shakeup and ended with a Hail Mary television ad. Just three weeks ago, in the dead of night on June 3, the Mississippi senator’s staff sat shaken and dejected, crestfallen at the results of a primary that deprived the six-term incumbent of an electoral majority. With Cochran forced into a runoff fight against an aggressive and energetic challenger, a dark mood shadowed his backers in Washington and Mississippi.Yet almost immediately, the Cochran coalition began bouncing back. Even on that gloomy night of June 3, Cochran adviser Stuart Stevens was insisting to staffers: “We’re

The Seattle-based chain also raised prices on some of the drinks sold in its cafes a year ago. The latest hikes don´t seem to be driven purely by the surging bean costs that have pressured other coffee sellers to raise prices, however, since Starbucks has said it already locked in its coffee contracts for the rest of this fiscal year and much of the

There are plenty of circumstances in which that pithy imperative —variously attributed to Disraeli, Queen VIctoria, and sundry other worthies — wins my admiration. “Never apologize, never explain”: I like the blunt, no-nonsense aroma it exudes, the hinted-at announcement that there will be no wallowing in unproductive self-recriminations or manufactured displays of contrition. There is a reason, I think, that the motto seems traceable to Victorian times: an era when manly forthrightness still had a prominent place in the economy of public life. But context is everything. It is one thing to say “Never apologize, never explain” as an adjunct

An IRS official whose emails were “lost” visited the White House frequently during the agency’s targeting of conservatives and met with a top assistant to President Obama who exchanged confidential information on conservative groups with the IRS. The IRS recently claimed that it lost emails from Nikole Flax, who served as chief of staff to former IRS commissioner Steven Miller. Flax was one of seven IRS employees including ex-official Lois Lerner whose emails to and from White House officials and other Obama administration agencies were purportedly deleted and could not be handed over to congressional investigators. Flax held personal meetings

Native American advocate Amanda Blackhorse was elated Wednesday after taking on and triumphing over one of the most powerful, profitable organizations in America: the National Football League. The United States Patent and Trademark Office cancelled the trademark registration for Washington Redskins Wednesday. The revocation of six of the team´s trademarks was necessary, the office ruled, because the football team´s name is "disparaging to Native Americans." The 32 year-old social worker, mother and activist insists this is only the beginning. "I was on my way to work when I heard it," said Blackhorse, who is Navajo, speaking today in a Skype

Communities throughout the U.S. and Canada are waking up to the dark side of North America’s energy boom: Trains hauling crude oil are crashing, exploding and spilling in record numbers as a fast-growing industry outpaces the federal government’s oversight. In the 11 months since a runaway oil train derailed in the middle of a small town in Quebec, incinerating 47 people, the rolling virtual pipelines have unleashed crude oil into an Alabama swamp, forced more than 1,000 North Dakota residents to evacuate, dangled from a bridge in Philadelphia and smashed into an industrial building near Pittsburgh. The latest serious accident was

Washington - The large subsidies for health insurance that helped fuel the successful drive to sign up some 8 million Americans for coverage under the Affordable Care Act may push the cost of the law considerably above current projections, a new federal report indicates. Nearly 9 in 10 Americans who bought health coverage on the federal government’s healthcare marketplaces received government assistance to offset their premiums. That assistance helped lower premiums for consumers who bought health coverage on the federal marketplaces by 76% on average, according to the new report from the Department of Health and Human

RALEIGH- They just earned diplomas at North Carolina high schools, but it´s proving much harder to get to the next level. A group of young un-documented immigrants hit the halls at the North Carolina General Assembly Tuesday, fighting for in-state college tuition - despite the fact they were brought to the US illegally by their parents. "We want to be able to go to college and be able to give back to a state that has given so much to us," explained 19-year-old Jessica Contreras. Contreras believes in her cause so strongly that she and her group walked to Raleigh from

Newly released records show the Phoenix VA Health Care System paid out roughly $10 million in bonuses during the past three years, when some staff manipulated patient wait-time records to trigger bonuses as veterans died awaiting care. The Arizona Republic, after asking for bonus records at least 10 times since March, obtained the data Friday from the Department of Veteran Affairs under the federal Freedom of Information Act. Bonus payouts increased significantly under Sharon Helman, who became director of the Phoenix VA in February 2012. She was placed on administrative leave last month with two other top staff members amid

On April 1, the U.S. economy dropped a whopping 2.9 percent for the first three months of the year (no fooling). The American workforce participation rate fell to a 40-year low. One-third of people aged 18-29 have moved back in with their parents. Millions of Americans this summer will enjoy yet another “staycation”: They just can’t afford to go to the beach or the mountains, even for a week — again. (Snip) Forget that the United States is deep into what Mr. Obama dramatically declares a “humanitarian crisis,” that the Middle East is a powder keg about to blow, that Iraq has all but fallen to Islamist terrorists. (Why not forget; the president has.)

A Fox News exclusive reported this morning by Jana Winter inexplicably buried the lede. Winter reports that several dead children have been discovered “washed up along the riverbank” of the Rio Grande, but fails to note that there have been no reports by the Obama administration on this. This indicates a pattern of covering up dead illegal alien kids by the Obama administration. It was two weeks before news was reported on the sole child death acknowledged by the Obama administration, Gilberto Ramos, a 15 year-old boy from Guatemala whose body was found in the Texas brush dead from the

The U.S. deported Honduran children as young as 1-1/2 years old on Monday in the first flight since President Obama pledged to speed up the process of sending back illegal immigrant minors from Central America. Fleeing violence and poverty, record numbers of children from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala have crossed into the United States over the past year, sparking intense debate about how to solve the problem. Monday´s flight from New Mexico to San Pedro Sula, the city with the highest murder rate in the world, returned 17 Honduran women, as well as 12 girls and nine boys, aged

Hawking, 71, the world-renowned theoretical physicist and former Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, had accepted an invitation to headline the fifth annual president´s conference, Facing Tomorrow, in June, which features major international personalities, attracts thousands of participants and this year will celebrate Peres´s 90th birthday. Contrary to what those who defend the right to own high-powered assault rifles believe, not all guns are created equal. Due to a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage the following five types of guns are the country's most dangerous. School Shootings: Widely Reported Tragedies Since 2000 - Using firearm trace data from the ATF, as well as FBI homicide records, we determined the types of guns most often recovered from crime scenes and/or used in murders. Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it. “I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News. Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing

The First Lady of these United States has declared war on Chick-fil-A. It seems the home of plump juicy breasts and hot buttered buns has run afoul of the new Smart Snacks in School program. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. They’ve just learned they will no longer be allowed to buy Chick-fil-A

In remarks framed as a message to the American public, actor Jon Voight emotionally aired his political grievances for several minutes in a televised statement on Saturday. Those grievances range from (but are not limited to) Benghazi, the IRS scandal, the "targeting" of conservative filmmaker Dinesh D´Souza, illegal immigration, the Hobby Lobby Supreme Court case, the treatment of war veterans, the chaos in Iraq and deep reservations about President Obama. "Five years ago, I stated that Obama would take the country apart piece-by-piece, that he would cause a civil war in this country," Voight read on Saturday in a statement on

Inquiring minds wonder if there’s a “G” in the grading repertoire. And that does not stand for “good.” Pollster John Zogby has given President Obama an “F” this week for the White House performance on the global stage, and the researcher has no imminent good news for the president. “Some people have really bad weeks. Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff got an ‘F’ after the nation’s soccer team lost to Germany. But President Obama’s week was just as bad,” Mr. Zogby says. “Israel and the Palestinians are at war again. The president should have visited the U.S.-Mexican border, where so many immigrant children are in danger and so many

According to the Associated Press, Keller is "a married military veteran and newly elected senator who´s pushing for more gun control in Riverdale after his husband was involved in a shooting." Archie Comics´ publisher and co-CEO Jon Goldwater said the way in which Archie will die was carefully chosen. “Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The appealing idea is to let current illegals stay while taking the steps necessary to prevent further waves. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security. President Obama is known for being competitive on the basketball court, but he´s also apparently a cutthroat pool player. Gov. John Hickenlooper, D-Colo., told reporters at the National Governors Association meeting on Sunday that the president surprised him by beat him in two consecutive games.
