Delay for Obamacare website

states to rethink options

President Obama hailed the effects of his health care law this spring when 8 million Americans signed up on the individual market, but the Obamacare marketplace for small businesses remains a work in progress. The small-business exchanges, or SHOPs, were supposed to be an easy way for employers of 50 or fewer full-time workers to gain leverage in the insurance market and provide coverage options to their employees. But the federal government last year delayed online enrollment and the “consumer choice” function that would have let employers offer their workers an array of plans. Now some insurance commissioners in states

If the House GOP refuses to defund 0bamaCare, or the Senate GOP goes along with the dRATS to try to fix it instead of repeal it, those RINOS need to be targeted for being put out to pasture. It´ll take awhile, as change is painful, but being locked out of the political process is worst.

@OP: The GOP has no intentions of ever getting rid of Obamacare. In fact, I predict if they gain both houses next year they´ll expand the ACA. Their thinking is what´s the use of abolishing when Obama won´t sign the law anyway.

The Republicans have a history of never getting rid of big liberal Democrat social welfare programs , after the smoke clears the Republicans usually end up going along to get along with the Democrats.

Baghdad - Militants from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria boasted on Twitter that they had executed 1,700 Iraqi government soldiers, posting gruesome photos to support their claim. (Snip) If the claim is true, it would be the worst mass atrocity in either Syria or Iraq in recent years, surpassing even the chemical weapons attacks in the Syrian suburbs of Damascus last year, which killed 1,400 people and were attributed to the Syrian government. The latest attack, if proved, would also raise the specter of the war in Iraq turning genocidal, particularly because the insurgents boasted that their victims were all Shiites. There were also fears that it could

Hong Kong - The US Navy on Sunday welcomed four members of China´s military aboard one of its aircraft carriers -- and said it hoped to receive a return invite someday. The four People´s Liberation Army members were among guests flown by a C-2 Greyhound aircraft to the USS George Washington for a "VIP visit" before it berths Monday off Hong Kong on a routine call. Tensions are high in the South China Sea and East China Sea as Beijing asserts its sovereignty over reefs and islands also claimed by US allies such as Japan and the Philippines. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor on Sunday downplayed the argument that he lost his House seat because of his immigration stance and hinted that his 22 years in elected government might be over. Cantor acknowledged his views on immigration, which includes some legal status for children of illegal immigrants, played a part in his GOP primary loss Tuesday in Virginia to Tea Party-backed challenger Dave Brat. “That infuriated people on both sides. Sure,” Cantor told ABC’s “This Week.” However, Cantor called his stance a long-held, principled position and said he never supported “amnesty” for the millions of Americans

The kidnapping of three teens on the way home from school in Gush Etzion on Thursday did not weaken the resolve of politicians who oppose releasing Palestinian terrorists. Bayit Yehudi faction chairwoman Ayelet Shaked said Sunday her bill limiting presidential pardons to murderers and terrorists, which passed a preliminary Knesset reading last week, is more relevant than ever. "Releasing murderers pours fuel on the fire of terror and will encourage more and more kidnapping. The time has come to make a change," she told The Jerusalem Post. According to Shaked, murderers need to die in prison and not be freed,

Kirkuk, Iraq - After a decades-long dispute between Arabs and Kurds over the oil-rich northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk, it took just an hour and a half for its fate to be decided. As al-Qaida-inspired militants advanced across northern Iraq and security forces melted away, Kurdish fighters who have long dominated Kirkuk ordered Iraqi troops out and seized full control of the regional oil hub and surrounding areas, according to a mid-ranking Army officer. The Presbyterian General Assembly, gathering in Detroit through next week, will consider withdrawing its investments from some companies whose products are used by the Israeli government in the Palestinian territories. Divestment advocates were narrowly outmaneuvered at the last Presbyterian convention in 2012, losing a crucial ballot by just two votes. The growing crush of vulnerable migrant children crossing the Rio Grande and entering the US through south Texas has put urgency to a vexing question for the US immigration system: Are children fleeing Central American violence refugees who need asylum or illegal gold-diggers who need to go home? The rush on the border has created what the White House and many others have called a humanitarian crisis. But it has also pushed Washington into finger-pointing mode, with politicians and commentators trying to pin down why children, often guided by “coyote” smugglers, are traveling hundreds of miles across Mexico into the

ISIS, the brutal insurgent/terrorist group formerly known as al Qaeda in Iraq, has seized much of western and northern Iraq and even threatens towns not far from Baghdad. From where did ISIS spring? One of George W. Bush´s most toxic legacies is the introduction of al Qaeda into Iraq, which is the ISIS mother ship. If this wasn´t so tragic it would be supremely ironic, because before the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, top Bush officials were insisting that there was an al Qaeda-Iraq axis of evil. Their claims that Saddam Hussein´s men were training members of al Qaeda how to
