Hezbollah says Syria vote means
foes can´t demand Assad quit

Syrian President Bashar Assad´s landslide election victory means that his civil war foes can no longer call for his departure as a precondition for peace, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said on Friday. The leader of the Lebanese group that has sent fighters to back the president, described the vote as a victory for Syria. Assad´s foes called the election a charade. "This election tells the opposition and all regional countries and the world that any political solution in Syria begins and ends with President Bashar Assad," Nasrallah told supporters via a video link. "You can no longer put the resignation of the president as a pre-condition."

Comments:
Now that 0bama officially negotiates with terrorist, they (Hezbollah) are telling him to go pound sand. And, since a newly "elected" again, 0bama could give him foreign "humanitarian aid. In spite of the fact that he has back the opposition Al Qaeda rebels. Tick, tick, tick. Syria closer to it´s nuclear bomb.

Mayor Bill de Blasio does not think there are enough Democrats in Brooklyn. So come summer of 2016, he is hoping to import about 35,000 more. The de Blasio administration on Friday proposed that when the Democratic Party gathers to crown its next presidential nominee, it do so in the mayor’s home borough, a cradle of the resurgent left that has morphed from a symbol of the working class into a gritty, global arbiter of cool. (Snip) And it would raise a number of intriguing angles for national Democrats, who are confronting the rise of a revived left wing that has challenged the direction of a party known for tacking to the

Madison, WI - Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen has asked a federal judge to issue an emergency order halting gay marriages. U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb struck down Wisconsin’s ban on gay marriage Friday. Within hours, clerks in Madison and Milwaukee began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. But there’s confusion over whether Crabb’s order also halted enforcement of the ban since she gave both sides more time to describe exactly what they wanted her to block. Van Hollen has promised to appeal the decision. He asked Crabb on Friday evening for an emergency ruling preserving the ban until

A sharp spike in illegal immigration has caused facilities and resources along the U.S.-Mexico border to become overwhelmed. As a result, U.S. Border Patrol has been releasing thousands of illegal immigrants onto U.S. soil each week. Some released immigrants are even criminals--as Breitbart Texas previously reported, more than 36,000 convicted criminal illegal aliens were released by U.S. authorities in 2013 alone. Texas Senator Ted Cruz told Breitbart Texas that this "humanitarian crisis" is a "direct consequence" of the Obama Administration´s actions and rhetoric surrounding illegal immigration.

The Obama administration said on Friday that it was launching a program to help recruit lawyers for children facing deportation as it scrambles to deal with the soaring number of unaccompanied Central American minors illegally crossing the border from Mexico. Under the plan, the federal government will issue $2 million in grants to enroll about 100 lawyers and paralegals to represent children making their way through the immigration court system. “We’re taking a historic step to strengthen our justice system and protect the rights of the most vulnerable members of society,” Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said in a statement.

Arlington, VA - As controversy grows over the release of five hardened Taliban detainees in exchange for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the Obama administration is considering springing yet another prisoner from Guantanamo Bay. Fouzi Khalid Abdullah al-Awda appeared via a video feed before a review board Wednesday morning in northern Virginia, often smiling as his private counsel Eric Lewis made the case for his release. Al-Awda has been held prisoner for 12 years. According to Defense Department officials and his official Guantanamo detainee profile, he traveled from his home in Kuwait to Afghanistan just before the 9/11 attacks to train

Mirth Provisions, a Washington-based company, is putting a new product on the local market aimed at capturing the marijuana smoking crowd: A new coffee beverage that’s infused with cannabis. It’s called “Legal,” aptly enough, given the state’s recent passage of laws that allow for recreational smoking of marijuana, Fox News reported. The beverage creator, Adam Stites, said to the local My Northwest news site that each bottle will have about 20 milligrams of THC — enough for “an alert, creative high,” he said. At the same time, those who aren’t steady pot smokers won’t become so overwhelmed by the drug that they can’t function, he added.

Payton Curry, a chef at the Brat Haus in Scottsdale, Arizona is teaching classes on cooking with pot, according to CBS Las Vegas. Medicinal marijuana has been legal in Arizona since 2010, and Mr. Curry legally uses the drug under state law to treat anxiety and depression. Mr. Curry told CBS Las Vegas that he’s not concerned the marijuana cooking classes will have any impact on his business, and that he’s only interested in the medicinal properties of the drug.

Brasilia - President Dilma Rousseff said on Tuesday she cannot fully explain why Brazil´s economy is growing so slowly, attributing problems to markets´ "ill humor" toward the World Cup host nation rather than any urgent need for reforms. In a rare, nearly three-hour-long interview with international reporters, Rousseff sounded broadly satisfied with her left-leaning government´s course ahead of a bid for re-election in October, though Brazil has fallen under a harsh spotlight ahead of the soccer tournament starting on June 12. Brazil´s economy has averaged only 2 percent growth since the former Marxist guerrilla took office in 2011,

Moscow - President Obama hasn’t spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin in weeks, despite increasing tensions over Ukraine. But according to Putin, that’s not his decision. “This is his choice, I am prepared for dialogue,” he told French journalists in an interview, referring to the fact that there are no plans for them to meet when they see each other this week. The two leaders will both attend a D-Day commemoration in Normandy, France, on Friday, but the White House says they have no plans to sit down for a meeting. Secretary of State John Kerry, however, will meet with his Russian counterpart on Thursday.

The seeds of what blossomed grotesquely in the Rose Garden last weekend — a celebration of the release of five senior Taliban military leaders in exchange for a U.S. sergeant purported to be a deserter — were sown a long time ago: on the second and third days of President Obama’s first term, to be precise. On his second day in office, the president signed an executive order directing that the Guantanamo Bay detention facility be closed. You can watch the cringe-inducing video of the signing ceremony on YouTube, as the president stumbles through a reading of the order to

One of the most striking elements of the Bowe Bergdahl affair is word that top Army officers were so anxious to keep the matter a secret that they directed Bergdahl´s fellow soldiers to sign a pledge of silence about his 2009 decision to walk away from duty in Afghanistan. "Many of Bergdahl´s fellow troops…signed nondisclosure agreements agreeing to never share any information about Bergdahl´s disappearance and the efforts to recapture him," wrote CNN´s Jake Tapper, who first reported the agreements last Sunday. Now, with Bergdahl back in U.S. hands, many of those former soldiers are ignoring the agreement they signed. They

U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl at one point during his captivity converted to Islam, fraternized openly with his captors and declared himself a "mujahid," or warrior for Islam, according to secret documents prepared on the basis of a purported eyewitness account and obtained by Fox News. The commemoration of D-Day shows Europe depends on Britain for its prosperity, and the UK will lose out if it excluded, the President said. The British people will make the “right decision” in an in-out referendum, he said. Alex Salmond said Scotland wanted its independence like the
