Exclusive: Mr President, you are my

Hero Marine rotting away in Mexican
prison for making ´driving mistake´*

Daily Mail [UK], by Paul Thompson

A US Marine held in a Mexican jail for over two months after mistakenly entering the country with guns has made an impassioned plea today for President Obama to secure his release. Sgt Andrew Tahmooressi said as the head of the military Mr Obama should get personally involved in his plight. ´Mr. President, you are my Commander in Chief. Please get me out of jail.´ Speaking exclusively to Mail Online from his Mexican prison, the 25-year-old said: ´I am still in the Marines and President Obama is my Commander in Chief. ´I want him to get involved. He was involved in helping to free

Comments:
*in desperate plea to Obama for help to free him as he did Bowe Bergdahl

Unfortunately, Sgt. Tahmooressi is not important enough politically to Obama. Until Obama determines he again needs another event to divert attention away from another crisis, he will do nothing. It is really, really outrageous that he hasn´t uttered a word about this. But what else would you expect from the evil political hack Obama?

I have a hard time seeing Obama getting involved in a case where he would be seen in any way as defending someone accused of a gun crime.

This one is actually straighforward:

Close the Mexican border until Sgt Tahmooressi is safely back in the USA, in good condition.

Just close it.

Obama isn´t even capable of picking up the phone and telling the Mexican President to free this young man, or the border will be sealed, tourism will be banned and aid $$ stopped.
Every day, 5,000 illegals will be pushed back over the border to Mexico..MARCH them across the same road Tahmooressi traveled.

Why does Mexico insist on enforcing it´s laws, and demand that we ignore ours?!!! The most maddening thing about leftists is their double standards. It´s OK for Mexico to enforce their own immigration and gun laws, or for the ATF to smuggle guns in to Mexico.
As I´ve said before, we should trade Sgt. Tahmooressi for 30 million Mexicans.

Seriously, this marine should convert to islam, maybe then our CIC (gag) will find the time of day for him. Even then it might be doubtful because he carried guns!

Sgt. Tahmooressi is no longer an active duty soldier but has been discharged and is in the reserves. It is not at all like the Afghanistan hostage situation. Tahmooressi crossed the border as a private citizen, unfortunately with 3 weapons in his truck. That´s NOT to say it was not an innocent mistake. Do you know how many discharged soldiers are now in the Reserves? Thousands and maybe millions. The CIC, whoever he may be, cannot possibly get involved personally in every bad situation a former active soldier gets himself in to as a civilian. This has nothing to do with Tahmooressi having previously served as an active duty Marine.

Wait, didn´t he involve himself in the Trayvon Martin thing? And then there is always the DC police "Acting Stupidly" when the black professor was making a public spectical of himself. Oh well, Never Mind!

What I don´t get is why he wanted to stay in a bad hotel in Tijuana when there are plenty of motels in the San Diego area. And abandoning your truck in a parking lot when it´s holding all your worldly goods just doesn´t seem like a smart thing to do.

If Tahmooressi made an innocent mistake, I´m deeply sorry for him, but there are pieces missing from this story.

The surge of illegal aliens–and in particular unaccompanied minors from Central America–across the border in Texas has started a debate in which more than immigration reform seems to be stake. While most conservatives are decrying the situation as the result of President Obama’s mistakes, some liberals are focusing on what they believe is the lack of compassion for the children that is being forgotten amid the politics. But as the plight of these desperate kids becomes publicized, Americans are being asked to make a choice between their charitable instincts and the rule of law. The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School. Beyond the successful raid that resulted in the death of Osama bin Laden, Obama noted that he had successfully solved two thorny international puzzles; ending the war in Iraq and successfully prosecuting a brief campaign to stem the violence in Libya.
