The story you haven’t yet heard
about Bowe Bergdahl’s desertion

Original Article

Five years ago, I publicly raised questions about Bowe Bergdahl’s desertion from Blackfoot Company, 1-501 Infantry (Airborne), 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division. A few weeks after his so-called “capture” in late June 2009, three conflicting accounts had surfaced: U.S. officials told the Associated Press Bergdahl had “walked off” the base with three Afghans; the Taliban claimed on its website that “a drunken American soldier had come out of his garrison” and into their arms; and Bergdahl claimed in his Taliban “hostage video” that he had “lagged behind a patrol” before being captured. I asked on my blog: Were the

Michelle sums it up nicely when she says this is about a muddle-headed lowlife who left his post and brothers behind and a corrupt commander-in-chief who has jeopardized more American soldiers’ lives to “rescue” Bergdahl by bowing to the Taliban, while snubbing the surviving heroes and at least 8 dead American soldiers who lost their lives because of him. Now the next thing you know these five Gitmo Muzloids will no doubt become leaders in the Taliban. So when the next attack against America comes, which may involve one of these cretins, will the Øbamboozler take any responsibility?
My guess is not even a smidgen!

IMPORTANT NOTE: At the end of Michelle´s column, there is a link to click to sign a petition to punish Bergdahl. THIS LINK GOES DIRECTLY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!! Sign with caution: We know this POTUS and he doesn´t like being told he´s wrong.

Make no mistake that deserters, enemy sympathisers and traitors are absolute heroes to the Left. This can only be, as they say, a feature and not a bug, of the deal Dear Leader Barack Hussein has cut. There is no way Dear Leader did not know that Bergdahl was ashamed of being American. On the contrary, this is a character flaw shared by every single constituent in Dear Leader´s base of support. Forward, to November!

Back in the days of the draft, it was just sometimes arguable that a person mentally unfit for military duty and obligations might end up walking away from his post. But this man volunteered! He gets no pass from me.

The releasee of the 5 jihadis had nothing to do with Berdahl´s release. Bergdahl´s release was just a pretext to allow Obama to begin shutting down Gitmo.
Remember his 2008 campaign promise to shut down Gitmo on his first day in office? Well, his base sure remembers that, and has gotten impatient and his reminding him.
This is all about Obama creating his legacy.
Now that the 5 worst jihadis have been released from Gitmo, we might as well release the "small fry" and minor players--right?
This blithering fool actually thinks this release will endear him to the Taliban. Instead, they will spit on him for his weakness.

What is wrong with this picture. Give this a few years and he can run for Senator in Mass and take John Kerry´s place in the war hero list of Swift Boat targets.

There must be more to this for O to make this deal. Something stinks here and is not just Bowe.

As for as getting solid results on any of our parade of scandals, he has been able to produce no real results.

He might, or one of his people, might read a few word of discuss but then there is nothing but crickets from the House.

Bergdahl´s desertion wasn´t just revealed now. It was known since 2009 and Obama and his mob knew of this for sure. Yet Obama agrees to this horrible deal with the Taliban and then sends out Susan Rice to cloud the issue with lies about Bergdahl. Obama is Evil and the only thing that matters to him is him...damned be the rest of the world?

Unfortunately under provisions of military law any prosecution of Bergdahl may now be foreclosed by the instance of improper command influence that occurred when Susan Rice told the country on national TV that Bergdahl served the nation with honor and distinction. Rice is one of Obama´s top advisers and when she speaks she is talking for Obama the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. So by doing that the military must consider that Rice was announcing a command decision that Obama has already made. Whatever investigation findings that the Army now comes up with concerning Bergdahl will now have to be whitewashed by Hagel who is Obama´s man at Defense and by the political generals there to keep Obama from looking like a complete idiot.

Was this just plain incompetence as usual by the WH or did someone sucker them at a lower level. I hope the Pentagon sends out invitations to the execution after the trial.

The only comfort you get in combat is the support you get from fellow soldiers. Then Obama wouldn´t know about that never having served in the American armed forces.

The left will make Bowe Bergdahl into a hero, and worship him (the left is very much into hero worship). In 30 years he will run for president. He reminds me of John Kerry, the ´hero´ of Vietnam.

Too bad the military didn´t throw him out before he got himself captured. He had no business being in the military, and certainly not in Afghanistan.

How long before he gives interviews to the lefty media? How long before he writes a book?

Bergdahl did not desert on July 4th. Members of the military looking fo Bergdahl were killed, and outposts attacked on July 4th. Some others were killed in June while looking for him as well. Members involved in the search said that it went on for 90 days after he walked away and disrupted the main mission and also put a target on the many who searched.

#10 JimS makes a fresh point. I think he hit the nail on the head, that the exchange for Bergdahl is about closing Gitmo more than about leaving no soldier behind.

That would fit the level of cynicism, manipulation, and cultural disruption displayed by President Barack Hussein Obama since he started his very first political campaign.

Although he is directly responsible for the upcoming murder of Americans, Obama will never be held accountable. Bergdahl is the misdirection folks. This is such a reliable way to get cheers from your audience that last year, The Daily Show literally ran a segment called "F**k You, Texas." The idea of Texas, and its 27 million people, as an easily-stereotyped monolith is a popular one outside of our borders. The war now raging between Israel and Hamas is a test of Israel’s ability to defend itself, even as it aims to become more Silicon Wadi (Arabic for valley) and less Warrior Nation. Right now, the Jewish state is trying to put down attacks from Gaza through air power, coupled with an array of anti-missile systems designed to knock-down incomings. But the reality is that every missile that hits Israel is a victory for the Palestinians. In asymmetric warfare, dragging the fight out is as good as winning. Harry Reid is the majority bumpkin of the U.S. Senate, vying with the vice president to say weird, goofy, sometimes amusing and often embarrassing things. His Democratic colleagues typically chuckle, roll their eyes, and put it down to ol’ Harry just being old Harry. (He’s only 78, but in his case, 78 is the new 90.) Long-suffering aides shrug at his bellicose ad-libs and call it “just Harry getting out ahead of his skis.” Nevertheless, when he stands up on the Senate floor, his colleagues hold their breath. The facts are simple. The IRS systematically targeted conservative and Tea Party groups after their activism proved decisive in the 2010 midterm elections—Obama’s famous “shellacking.” The effects of this targeting were widespread. Some Tea Party groups were neutered in the months before the 2012 presidential election. Few of the explanations or justifications of this targeting provided by IRS leaders and Obama administration officials have held up. IRS officials at first denied that any targeting had taken place. That was false. They later claimed that the targeting had involved only low-level employees in the Cincinnati office. That was false. They argued

A poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal, NBC News, and Annenberg finally gave a numerical answer to a question we at Mediaite often ask ourselves: Out of all political figures that should pipe down just a bit, which one should do it immediately? Answer: Sarah Palin. Overwhelmingly Sarah Palin, says America. 52% of surveyed American adults want Sarah Palin to “be quiet,” according to the poll taken between June 30 and July 7 (Snip) 45% of respondents added that they wanted Jesse Jackson to be quiet, too; followed by Dick Cheney (42%), Newt Gingrich (39%), Al Gore (37%), and

President Barack Obama does not believe his temporary amnesty program for illegal immigrant children has exacerbated the border crisis even though the number of illegal immigrant kids crossing the border spiked the year after he unilaterally enacted the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in 2012. In fact, Obama thinks programs like DACA and a comprehensive amnesty bill are ways to solve the border crisis. Addressing the press Wednesday after meeting with Texas Governor Rick Perry to discuss the border crisis in Dallas, Obama, when asked if programs like DACA have caused or contributed to the crisis,

Screenwriter James Vanderbilt will make his directorial debut with the film, which will also star Cate Blanchett. Robert Redford has signed on to play Dan Rather in Truth, a film based on the 2005 memoir Truth and Duty: The Press, the President, and the Privilege of Power. The book, written by Rather´s producer Mary Mapes, centers on the firestorm that erupted in September of 2004 after Rather reported that George W. Bush had received special treatment while serving in the Air National Guard during the Vietnam War, a report that was based on documents that turned out to be forgeries.

Kirsten Powers snapped at Bill O’Reilly tonight after he told her she doesn’t know what she’s talking about on immigration, and told O’Reilly she’s tired of him mocking liberals every day on every single issue just because “they care about people.” Powers argued that O’Reilly’s getting his facts wrong and that immigrants coming to the U.S. back in the day (like the Irish) were poor and uneducated, much like the immigrants O’Reilly is so worried about today. O’Reilly dismissed Powers and told her, “You don’t seem to really know what you’re talking about.” That really set Powers off. “I am

Bears, beer and horse heads: What exactly is going on with the leader of the free world? On a single day this week in Denver, President Obama scarfed down pizza and drinks with strangers, shot pool with Colorado’s governor and shook hands with a guy on the street wearing a horse mask. His top staffers are promoting these stops on Twitter with the hashtag #TheBearIsLoose — a term one of Obama’s aides coined in 2008 when the candidate would defy his schedule. More than five years into his presidency, Obama is trying to free himself from the constraints of office,

Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee in 2008, is advocating the impeachment of President Barack Obama. “It’s time to impeach,” she wrote, “and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment.” I am a pretty fierce critic of the president myself, but let me be among the first to say that Republicans would be insane to follow Ms. Palin’s counsel. Mr. Obama would never be forced from office, the effort would do tremendous damage to the
