Admin of Anti-Bergdahl Facebook
Group Revealed as Former Squad Leader

Mediaite, by Tina Nguyen

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 6/2/2014 10:27:57 PM

The man behind the Facebook group “Bowe Bergdahl is NOT a Hero!” isn’t, as most would initially believe, some conservative crank mad at the Obama administration for swapping five Taliban prisoners in exchange for the American prisoner of war. According to Jake Tapper, Greg Leatherman, the creator of the group, was actually one of Bergdahl’s squad leaders before he disappeared and allegedly abandoned his post. The page was created last Saturday, the day Bergdahl was released, and has become a gathering place for fellow soldiers to air their many grievances against Bergdahl, whom they consider a deserter both directly and indirectly

Something is about the Bergdahl trade. I heard that allegedly he climbed under barbed wire to get away. And in five years he forgot to speak English? I never heard this about the Vietnam POW who also spent years in captivity. And his father has supposedly a Muslim beard.

How does that sentence warrant a place in the story, much less the lede sentence?
It´s Mediaite, but 6 of one, half a dozen of the other in "news" stories these days. Could just as easily have been an alphabet outlet.

Obama is amazingly stupid or cunning, but he gets away with it every time. I think he loves sticking it to America, but maybe his staff is so inept they didn´t realize this guy was a deserter. And dad with his Muzzie prayer....yikes. What a disaster. But, only the right criticizes him. This has to hurt Dems in November elections.

This is another case of Obama standing with Muslims.

if anybody would know the circumstances of Bergdahl deserting his unit on the battlefield it would be the infantrymen who make up the platoon to which Bergdahl was assigned. At the time they were located at a small patrol base in a very rural region with Taliban situated all around them. At night while on guard duty at an observation post it is said by those infantrymen that Bergdahl simply abandoned his assigned guard duty post and walked outside the base perimeter to a point where he was captured by the Taliban. So it appears that Bergdahl facilitated his own capture, and subsequent detention in Pakistan by Taliban elements. When the Army used to take desertion in the face of the enemy seriously such perpetrators when apprehended would be shot by a firing squad, especially if their unlawful action caused death and injury to other soldiers as was apparently the case here.

Obama goes to Afghanistan to "honor the troops" but his real mission is to arrange to bring home a Muslim sympathizing deserter and then he outs the head of the CIA in Afghanistan who probably didn´t agree with his decision to trade Bergdahl for five really bad Gitmo terrorists. How low can Obama go? I´m afraid of the answer.

Democrats in tough reelection races have a blunt message for President Obama: Keep away. Obama’s approval ratings are in the basement and show no signs of improving, so Democrats are keeping their distance. On the stump, in campaign ads and at fundraisers, Obama’s absence is increasingly conspicuous. Democrats are voicing their displeasure with his policies and campaign advisers are telling candidates to avoid being photographed with him, so as to deny Republicans effective visuals for campaign ads. “It’s a no-brainer,” said one operative who works for a senator up for reelection in 2014. “The second term has been a bit

The White House’s explanation of why so many “children” are crossing our southern border recently is that the violence in Central America drove them here. Also, as usual, Bush is to blame: in 2008 President Bush signed a law “to prevent immigration officials from inadvertently sending [children] back to pimps and drug violence”. On July 5, the Los Angeles Times published an article by Brian Bennett. Using data obtained from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Bennett reported as follows. “The increase has been dramatic. For most of the last decade, U.S. agents apprehended fewer than 4,000 ?unaccompanied children from El

The latest Republican leader to emerge from the San Joaquin is Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen of Modesto, a conservative with an appealing moderate tone, who nevertheless has strong views about water development.
