Defending Obama Deal, Schweitzer Won´t

You really have to watch Brian Schweitzer in action to get just how much of a blowhard he is. By the end of his appearance on today´s Morning Joe, even Mika Brzezinski seemed mortified by the antics of her fellow Democrat. And Bill Kristol´s expression of utter disdain for the former Montana governor was worth the price of admission alone. In the course of his appearance, Schweitzer--defending President Obama´s deal for the release of US soldier Bowe Bergdahl--declined to call the five senior Taliban members released either terrorists or war criminals. Even the Daily Beast, in the person of reporter Eli

Are the children born to military families stationed overseas Americans?
Are children born in America to non-citizens called anchor babies for a reason?
Obama had an American mother and a Kenyan father..is he an American? Liberals set the precedent when Pelosi was allowed to get away with certifying Obama..What´s good for the goose is good for the gander.

Hillary Clinton has accepted her husband Bill´s philandering ways but told him that ´when we are back in the White House, he´ll have to behave,´ according to a new book by former Newsweek editor Ed Klein. That´s ´when,´ not ´if.´ But Hillary´s apparent certainty about her presidential plans has taken a back seat in reviews of the book, ´Blood Feud,´ to accounts of vicious backbiting between the Clintons and the Obamas. Even tales of exploits of the former ´first cheater´ have garnered little notice. According to Klein, Hillary told friends that Bill is ´having another of his middle-age crises.´ And she doesn´t seem to

You know things are bad when the Clown of the Senate whose whole ID is that he’s leftier than left doesn’t want to be seen with you. Obama visited Minnesota to meet with “ordinary people”. That was his only option since his own party’s radical left-wing senators didn’t want to be seen with him. Obama descended on Minnesota on Thursday where freshman Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) is seeking reelection. Obama won Minnesota by 10 points in 2008 and 8 points in 2012. With one exception, no public opinion survey has shown Franken leading his likely GOP opponent, businessman Mike McFadden, by

The Environmental Protection Agency on Friday proposed federal approval of climate-friendly refrigerants used in household air conditioners and refrigerators, as part of President Obama’s quest to counter global warming. The action, part of the agency’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program, is aimed at lowering greenhouse gas emissions. “This proposal is a great example of how businesses and EPA can foster innovation by working together to identify refrigerants that better protect our environment,” EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy said. Under the SNAP program, one facet of the president’s bid to tackle climate change through regulatory action, the agency is trying to identify substitutes for

Obama´s immigration dilemma

President Obama faces a wrenching dilemma over immigration that has significant implications for the 2014 midterm election and his legacy. Should he use his executive powers to stop most deportations? He is under heavy pressure from pro-immigrant groups to do so. Democratic strategists say such a move would spur turnout among Latino voters. But such a dramatic gambit could also destroy any chance of legislative compromise with Republicans in 2015. The president must wrestle with a longer-term question, as well. If he takes only limited executive action this year, he then must decide how much ground he is willing to

Khatallah is being held at a federal courthouse in D.C. amid tight security, Department of Justice spokesman William Miller said. Khatallah is accused of being involved in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack in Libya that lead to the deaths of former U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, information officer Sean Smith, and former navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty. Khattala faces three charges, including killing a person and conspiracy to support terrorists in connection to the attack.

If you thought the fiasco engulfing Veterans Affairs (VA) couldn’t get any worse, you were wrong. It seems that VA hospitals spent around $420 million dollars on solar panels and windmills, while veterans languished on appointment waiting lists. Some have died as a result (via Watchdog.org): Veterans Administration hospitals have spent at least $420 million on solar panels and windmills while vets wait months — or even lay dying — to see a doctor. Perhaps. But observers of he Obama White House might note that he often becomes petulant, if not downright immature whenever he feels his presumed authority is being challenged by another branch of America´s Constitutional form of government. “They’re not doing anything, and then they’re mad at me for doing something,” Mr. Obama said of Republican lawmakers, adding, “They’ve decided they’re going to sue me for doing my job.” This came

Only 14% of Republicans, 23% of independents, and 27% of Democrats favor increased immigration. The poll actually revealed a strong desire among Americans to decrease immigration, as 41% of respondents thought immigration should be decreased. This included 50% of GOP voters, 43% of independents, and 32% of Democrats. The percentage of those preferring to decrease immigration has jumped from 35% in 2012 and 2013 to 41% in 2014. Comparisons between Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney have been greatly exaggerated, Hillary Clinton says. Clinton practically rolled with laughter when PBS’ Gwen Ifill noted humorlessly that her own husband has been “forced” to defend her recent comments about being “dead broke” after leaving the White House. What was humorous in that remarks is known only to Clinton. “I shouldn’t have said the, I think, five or so words that I said,” the former secretary of state said. “My inartful use of those five words doesn’t change who I am.” Later in the interview, Ifill asked if Clinton had become the Democratic adaptation of

A shocking new report from the Center for Immigration Studies claims to prove that every single new job created in America for the last fourteen years has gone to immigrants, legal and illegal. This would fly in the face of those who claim that immigration is an economic boon to native born Americans: The CIS report found that over the last 14 years, people who were born in the United States held 114.8 million jobs in 2000, and held 114.7 million jobs in 2014, a drop of 127,000. Were Lois Lerner’s allegedly lost emails actually destroyed? An Ohio-based trade association, the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers (IAITAM), isn’t so sure, and they don’t find IRS commissioner Koskinen’s explanation of their loss very plausible. IAITAM administers internationally accepted certifications for information technology professionals. According to the group’s standards, if Lerner’s supposedly malfunctioning hardware was properly destroyed, there would be records of it. Dr. Barbara Rembiesa, president of IAITAM, questions whether there is documentation of the destruction of the files. Who performed the work, says Rembiesa, is important because not all IT professionals are IAITAM certified. “The notion

What transpired in the Mississippi Senate run-off is a red line for many conservatives across the country, because the Republican Party establishment essentially took a civil war and escalated it to a war for independence. It’s one thing to oppose your base in a primary. It’s entirely another to despicably play the race card against your base, and bolster the legitimacy of the propaganda of our race-baiting opponents on the Left. But that’s exactly what the Kamikaze pilots running the GOP did. As a result, Chris McDaniel won Republican voters handily on Tuesday, but still lost the run-off statewide thanks

Too far, and their tactics are likely to leave permanent scars in a civil war with Tea Party forces that are out of all proportion to the importance the establishment placed on saving one 76-year-old senator’s ability to please Washington’s K Street lobbying interests. “This is a win for the establishment, but it’s a win with an asterisk, because it’s so tainted that it might be one of those things where they’re going to be sorry they ever won the runoff in Mississippi,” Craig
