Here’s what happens when
Taliban leaders are released

Washington Post, by Marc A. Thiessen

Original Article

If anyone doubts that the five senior Taliban leaders President Obama released this weekend will return to the fight and kill more Americans, they need only look at what happened when the George W. Bush administration released a Taliban leader named Mullah Abdul Qayyum Zakir (a.k.a. Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul) in 2007. Unlike the terrorists Obama just set free, Zakir was assessed by our military as only “medium risk” of returning to the fight. At Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Zakir pretended to be a low-ranking conscript and told officials he simply wanted to “go back home and join my family” and promised “I

I feel like I´m living through a horrible nightmare and can´t wake up. It still stuns me that these top Taliban leaders were released.

HOUSTON, Texas--Earlier this week Breitbart Texas reported on a confirmed case of the Swine Flu, or H1N1, at a facility for young migrants in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet--an experienced physician and nationally recognized speaker--told Breitbart Texas that the risks from such diseases being brought over the border are being dramatically downplayed. Vliet said, "Many people are trying to diminish the seriousness of this. They say, ´We have these diseases in the U.S.´ Well yes, we do, but they´ve been well controlled, we have good hygiene, and most of our parents keep children home when they´re sick." Most

Lois Lerner is back in the news cycle after the IRS told a House committee recently a chunk of her emails are missing because of a failed hard drive, with House Republicans holding multiple hearings on the matter in the past week. And in an interview with POLITICO, Lerner’s lawyer says it’s “a little brazen to think she did this on purpose.” William Taylor III says all the Republican hand-wringing about Lerner doing something sinister is just “silly” because, he said, she honestly doesn’t know what happened to the emails. He charges that Republican “critics of Ms. Lerner and the

"Every New Yorker deserves an official identification that allows them to prove who they are and access core services," New York Mayor Bill DiBlasio said on Thursday. And that includes illegal aliens. DiBlasio thanked the City Council for quickly enacting what he called "critical legislation" on Thursday. The vote was 43-3. "The municipal ID is more than just a card -– it provides New Yorkers who are currently living in the shadows with dignity and peace of mind. My administration is fully ready to develop this plan and to swiftly implement a secure and accessible Municipal ID Card program, ”

Children who illegally enter the United States must be granted a lawyer to help them stay and evade deportation because of “basic fairness,” demands the American Civil Liberties Union. Upset with a report that immigration officials in Artesia, N.M., want to send illegal immigrants home 10 to 15 days after being apprehended, the legal defense organization said that the stories of the children must first be investigated. “Many children crossing the border are seeking refugee protection from violence in their home countries. Both due process and international law require that these kids’ claims be fully and fairly assessed by immigration judges, not

Immigrant Lee Ang is living the American dream, having become a successful stock trader in the U.S.A. and making millions since the 1990s. Unfortunately, he never became a legal citizen, and now the IRS is charging him with $22 million in back taxes. Yet the government still hasn´t begun the deportation process. Earlier this year a federal tax court ruled that Lee Ang had skipped out on paying taxes between 1998 and 2001 and now owes the $22 million in back taxes, interest, and fines. Ang came to the U.S. in the 1990s through Belize, where he gained citizenship after emigrating there

You wish you could call the police. But the neighbor who is robbing your house at gunpoint is the police. You are stupefied, so inconceivable does it seem to you that the man sworn to uphold the law could be an outlaw. Yet, the architects who designed your house not only conceived of that danger, they took precautions. As a result, you not only have your own arsenal of emergency firepower; you’re also in charge of all the ammunition. See, the architects hoped we’d always have good, honorable police, but they didn’t make your life depend on it. They knew the

Whenever we see yet another movement group pushing for immigration reform, or in this case, amnesty, you can be sure someone like SEIU is not far behind. From The Hill, this afternoon’s move is their latest to accomplish the following: The group is pushing for the Obama administration to expand a 2012 program that allows some children brought to the country illegally to be deprioritized for deportation. The group wants the program to include the family members of those children as well. In other words, amnesty. In other words, no enforcement, and in fact, a reward for a lawless and orchestrated invasion

Nancy Pelosi’s daughter believes the border cannot be secured. In an interview with MSNBC’s Richard Lui, filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi talked about the American dream, and how it is very much still alive. She spoke about her recent visit to see families on the Mexican side of the border, claiming that “they have nothing” and because of that, will do whatever it takes to get to the United States. Many people choose to go through the horrendous travel “because they have nothing to lose. They’re gonna come to America or they’re gonna die trying,” says the daughter of the minority leader.

Scores of young immigrants stormed Capitol Hill on Friday to press leaders in both parties to rein in deportations for the sake of their families. The activists – most of them undocumented immigrants who have enrolled in President Obama´s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program – are fighting GOP efforts to scrap that initiative while simultaneously pressing Democrats to fight harder for its immediate expansion. Toward that end, the advocates – many sporting bright blue t-shirts emblazoned with the message "OBAMA DEPORTS PARENTS" – singled out three lawmakers on Friday: House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio); House Oversight Chairman Darrel Issa

President Obama offered a scathing indictment of congressional Republicans during an economic speech in Minnesota on Friday, accusing his political opponents of failing to “do anything, except block me and call me names.” The president argued the GOP had “blocked or voted down every serious idea to strengthen the middle class” offered by Democrats this year. He specifically cited efforts to raise the minimum wage, pass legislation guaranteeing fair pay between men and women and implement immigration reform. The remarks felt like an opening to the serious campaign season, given Congress’s departure from Washington for the July 4 recess. Lawmakers have spent relatively

If we had air support, none of this would have happened,” he said, according to excerpts e-mailed by the BBC. The U.S is delivering

Ordinarily, President Obama’s days are planned out to the smallest detail. But for his two-day excursion to Minnesota this week, the president boasted that he’s got little in the way of a formal agenda, has few firm plans, and warned Secret Service that he’s feeling “super loose” and could end up doing any number of things. “I don’t know. Republicans are in the strongest position to win back the Senate since losing it eight years ago. Over several months, the party has expanded its range of targeted seats, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has helped defeat insurgents it didn’t want representing the GOP in the midterm elections. This sober realization came to Democrats on Wednesday, as Tuesday night’s primary results showed they cannot count on Tea Party candidates upsetting more-electable incumbents. And Democrats are increasingly realizing that President Obama’s approval rating will probably remain mired at 45 percent or lower until

In the absence of a special prosecutor, the best opportunity for piercing the veil of secrecy and evasion that surrounds the IRS handling of groups perceived as enemies of the Obama administration lies in civil litigation. ALAN COLMES: You know it’s funny to me that conservatives talk about how much they love the constitution but when somebody exercises their constitutional rights they’re declared guilty when they’re not supposed to be. Simply because of the Fifth Amendment. Does invoking the Fifth Amendment indicate guilt? Comparisons between Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney have been greatly exaggerated, Hillary Clinton says. Clinton practically rolled with laughter when PBS’ Gwen Ifill noted humorlessly that her own husband has been “forced” to defend her recent comments about being “dead broke” after leaving the White House. What was humorous in that remarks is known only to Clinton. “I shouldn’t have said the, I think, five or so words that I said,” the former secretary of state said. “My inartful use of those five words doesn’t change who I am.” Later in the interview, Ifill asked if Clinton had become the Democratic adaptation of

A shocking new report from the Center for Immigration Studies claims to prove that every single new job created in America for the last fourteen years has gone to immigrants, legal and illegal. This would fly in the face of those who claim that immigration is an economic boon to native born Americans: The CIS report found that over the last 14 years, people who were born in the United States held 114.8 million jobs in 2000, and held 114.7 million jobs in 2014, a drop of 127,000. In a recent interview with Rusty Humphries, Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio made news by saying that the Obama administration was “incompetent” and that its current dumping of illegals in Arizona is intentional. Were Lois Lerner’s allegedly lost emails actually destroyed? An Ohio-based trade association, the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers (IAITAM), isn’t so sure, and they don’t find IRS commissioner Koskinen’s explanation of their loss very plausible. IAITAM administers internationally accepted certifications for information technology professionals. According to the group’s standards, if Lerner’s supposedly malfunctioning hardware was properly destroyed, there would be records of it. Dr. Barbara Rembiesa, president of IAITAM, questions whether there is documentation of the destruction of the files. Who performed the work, says Rembiesa, is important because not all IT professionals are IAITAM certified. “The notion
