NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - A manhunt is underway for the person who stabbed two children, killing one, inside an elevator in East New York, Brooklyn. The children were reportedly on their way to get ice cream when they were stabbed at a housing project at 845 Schenk Avenue. A six-year-old boy was killed and his seven-year-old friend remained in critical condition Monday after the stabbing a day earlier. Inez Rodriguez, the local Tenant Association president is in shock. “These are babies like I said why would anyone want to harm children?" she told FOX 5. They were rushed to Brookdale hospital, but the little

In Monica Lewinsky’s first television interview in ten years, the former White House intern will open up about going from “a virgin to humiliation” to “the most humiliated woman in the world.” In clips of her interview with National Geographic obtained by the TODAY show, the former White House intern recalls her experiences after the public release of the Starr report. “That was one of the worst days of my life,” Lewinsky said. “I was a virgin to humiliation of that level, until that day.”

President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama had a bit of a weird moment at the White House tonight during an LGBT reception when the president praised the exquisite work of the White House Executive Pastry Chef and joked if he puts crack in them. A crack joke at the White House. Bet you never saw that coming. The Obamas said they were sad to see Bill Yosses leave the White House. The president said, “His pies––I don’t know what he does, whether he puts crack in them––but…” The first lady quickly jumped in to clarify that no, “there is no crack in our

In 1976, the summer after my freshman year in college, I attended the Clarion Science Fiction Writers’ Workshop on the bucolic grounds of Michigan State University. It was a six-week program, chaired each week by a different published author. The two dozen or so attendees came from all over the country, most of them beginners like me. At the opening cocktail party I met a hip but very serious young man named Paul who looked like he had just walked off a commune (which I’m pretty sure he had): macrobiotically starved, with stringy hair, what looked like tree moss growing on

Exploding shells and rockets rattled me awake in the early hours of a misty Tuesday morning in Saigon. I scrambled to my hotel roof and watched as fireballs, smoke and debris burst across the city’s famous airport — once one of the busiest in the world, now shut down as thousands desperate to evacuate jammed the hangars. As dawn arrived, people rushed to the rooftops of nearby buildings, staring in shock at the sudden, savage attack from artillery encircling the city. Two older military transport planes made an attempt to climb into the sky, slowly twisting and turning to escape

´The View´ used to do politics; Now,

It was not so long ago that “The View” was a coveted destination on the presidential campaign circuit. Proving that one could play with Barbara Walters and the gang was a badge of cultural honor, one that Barack and Michelle Obama, among others, proudly wore. But now “The View” is a mess. Barbara has faded into retirement from the show she created, and in a messy housecleaning, only Whoopi Goldberg remains. The latest round of firings by ABC means that the franchise is in jeopardy. The program has been slipping. When I asked Walters why she was largely avoiding politics this season, she

Bob Dylan lyrics fetch $2 million

Packed with doodles, corrections and margin notes, a working version of arguably Bob Dylan’s best known song has been sold by Sotheby’s for more than £1 million. Dylan’s tinkering with “Like a Rolling Stone” is laid bare on a piece of stationery from the Roger Smith hotel, a block from the White House in Washington DC. Scribbled in pencil on four sheets of paper, it appears like a stream of consciousness as Dylan put together a song which became almost an anthem for millions of teenagers in the 1960s. Amidst the lyrics are doodles of a chicken, a hat, a deer and possibly

Generally speaking, the further into a U.S. president’s tenure in office one gets, the less volatility there is in that president’s job-approval rating. It’s pretty logical that 1,979 days into Barack Obama’s presidency, the number of people most inclined to approve of his performance has stabilized, as has the number of those disposed to disapprove of him. Given that Obama tends to evoke particularly strong emotions with bedrock supporters and equally adamant opponents, arguably more people than usual have locked in their opinions. And those who are undecided by this point are the folks who have pretty much checked out of

Medicaid wrongly paid out more than $14 billion last year to managed care organizations, often for treatments or services that were not necessary, never performed or weren´t eligible for coverage. That´s according to a new report from the Government Accountability Office. For comparison, $14 billion is the cost of the new airport planned for Beijing, China. It´s also how much the U.S. government has spent training Iraq´s military since 2003. MCOs, which allow Medicaid beneficiaries to get their care though state-run programs are rapidly increasing in popularity through the expansion of Medicaid. The amount of annual improper payments could increase because of Obamacare,

One: Piketty’s Charge- If politics is a war by other means, then books often serve as the artillery. Take Herbert Croly’s The Promise of American Life, the foundational text of modern American liberalism. Its publication in 1909 was heralded as a revelation, when in fact it was more a synthesis of notions that had been floating around in the political ether for a decade. Theodore Roosevelt loved it. “I do not know when I have read a book which I felt profited me as much,” T.R. wrote to Croly. “I shall use your ideas freely in speeches I intend to

This past week, Fox News, Megyn Kelly, and Dinesh D’Souza gave a platform to an entity that hates America and our way of life. Seems the prospect of smokin’ out a snake like Bill Ayers was too good to pass up. Getting an exclusive one-on-one with a crazy, violent communist with a small c was quite a coup for Kelly and D’Souza...or was it? Since lying and deceit generally benefit the liar, we have to ask, ”What was in it for Bill Ayers?” A mea culpa for past crimes? Hardly. After listening to Ayers, we must conclude: once a psychopath, always a psychopath.

Maybe we’ve been conned. There’s a growing recognition that Barack Obama is an incompetent poser, working out of his depth, and his administration is the gang that can’t shoot straight. There’s a lot of evidence to support that belief. Everything he touches becomes a bloody mess, like crushed bones and bits of flesh caught in the tracks of a tank slicing through a rank of soldiers (or civilians). Iraq, Syria, Egypt — all gone, as prospects for countries with a prosperous and democratic future. The “reset” with Russia, meant to ensure that America and the replacement republic of the old

So it goes from a foundation at a university to another foundation,” Clinton said when asked about the criticism she and her husband have faced recently for their wealth. Hillary Clinton reportedly makes roughly $200,000 for each speaking engagement. And recent reports show

Two spirit is an Aboriginal term which means having both feminine and masculine spirits. It´s not limited to gender expression or sexuality, but encompasses them both while incorporating a spiritual element. It´s a standalone identity, not an Aboriginal term for gay lesbian. President Obama has, except on fleeting occasions, routinely disdained the customary Oval Office language of compromise and coalition-building for the low arts of sophistry and belittlement. That was to be expected, given his background as a Chicago community organizer and product of that city´s corrupt Democrat political machine. But Obama has far exceeded dismal expectations. No previous American president employed the systematic distortion of fact and mendacious characterization of opponents that have typified Obama´s presidency. His "so sue me" speech last week is a classic illustration of the community organizer practicing Saul Alinsky´s 13th rule: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize

Recent events have not been kind to Hillary Clinton, but she is far from an innocent victim in what surely is one of the worst revival tours in memory. Hillary Clinton, still unwilling to acknowledge her and her boss’s failure to accurately assess the threats from al-Qaeda and the spread of jihaists into Libya, stubbornly insists we really don’t know why the jihadists attacked and killed our people. Oh, puhleez. While not a supporter of civilian trials for enemy combatants, I must admit there is something satisfying about the prosecution’s version of events laid out for all to see. The New

Climate alarmism is "the biggest fraud in the field of science" and the 97% consensus claim is nonsensical, Apollo 7 astronaut Walter Cunningham tells MRCTV in a preview of his presentation at the upcoming Heartland Institute climate conference, July 7-9. "I found that not one of the claims that the alarmists were making out there had any bearings, whatsoever. And, so, it was kind of a no-brainer to come to the conclusion." May’s job report was also revised upward, showing 224,000 jobs added. The numbers follow strong reports for the Bay State last month, with
