Noted scientist fears aliens ignored

What do you get when you put one of the smartest people in the world – astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson – in the same room with MSNBC talker Chris Hayes? Answer: You get a lot of science interview questions, not all of which will be gems. But to their credit, they did manage to cover the one burning issue which awaits resolution – where are the aliens, and why haven’t they contacted us? Tyson may not know for sure, but he has a theory. Astrophysicist and Cosmos host Neil DeGrasse Tyson told MSNBC host Chris Hayes that while it’s audacious enough for

Noted scientist ignored because he´s too stupid - there I fixed the headline. Everyone knows the aliens ignored Earth because of man made global warming! What´s wrong with guy didn´t he get the memo? Good grief what a nut case. Unbelievable.

Neil is not stupid. He’s actually a competent astrophysicist. He´s also a self-aggrandizing whore with a racial chip on his shoulder the size of Nebraska.

As I’ve noted elsewhere, he has parlayed a pat on the head from Carl Sagan 40 years ago into a career as Carl’s heir-apparent popularizer of science, culminating in his appointment as head of the American Museum of Natural History (which includes the prestigious Hayden Planetarium, from whose precincts he decreed the demotion of planet Pluto to the status of a mere asteroid).

Today, aided and abetted by Carl’s widow, the unabashed “agnostic” Marxist squish Ann Druyan, he’s using the bully TV pulpit of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey to indoctrinate a new generation of unthinking acolytes of the Mann-Made Global Warming heresy. Wherever he is now, I hope Carl – who had the decency and scientific honesty to recant his Nuclear Winter mistake -- is appropriately appalled.

Actually it´s because we are too violent and we have leadership that is vindictive and petty.

No advanced race I could imagine would want to deal with those failings, they have better things to do, like traversing the universe looking for ´real beings´, not shells that hate.

What is smart?
I being able to solve complex math problems does not mean you are all knowing.
Because of the vastness of space and the shear number of stars, if only one star in a billion had planets like earth, there would still be billions of earth like planets.
There is almost , for certain life existing somewhere in the universe other than earth.
The reason we have not heard from anyone is due to the vastness of space. We are restricted to real world physics, not Starwars science fiction stuff like warp drives and such.
Even the smartest person in the universe cannot change physics.
Travel between even close planets that may exist, could easily be thousands of light years. That´s why we don´t see intellegent life from other planets and will never see them.

The charity has hired a fancy law firm to fight a public request we filed with New York state, arguing that information about its Sandy activities is a ‘trade secret’…As we’ve reported, the Red Cross releases few details about how it spends money after big disasters. That makes it difficult to figure out whether donor dollars are well spent. The Red Cross did give some information about Sandy spending to

When the German botanist Philipp von Siebold sent a variety of plant specimens to the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew in August 1850, he had no idea what he was unleashing on the world. Among the various floral and tuberous growths he dispatched was a plant which, 164 years later, is leaving a trail of mayhem all across the planet. It goes by the name of Japanese knotweed, or Fallopia japonica. It presents a pleasing appearance to the eye: heart-shaped leaves, bamboo stems and pretty, little white-flower tassels. What is less obvious is this plant’s relentless killer instinct. Look through the

The coal industry is poised to score a rare victory over the Obama administration in the fight over the Export-Import Bank. Both of the working proposals in the House and Senate to renew the bank’s charter would reverse Ex-Im guidelines that prevent financing for overseas power plants that decline to adopt greener technology. Bank officials adopted the policies, which included exemptions for the world´s poorest nations, in December amid the Obama administration´s broader push to address climate change. Up until now, coal-state Democrats such as Sen. Manchin (D-W.Va.) have lacked political leverage to fight back. But that’s changing thanks to the looming Sept. 30

Israeli police say that an American teenager who was detained and allegedly beaten during violent protests over the death of his Palestinian cousin has been brought before a court in an attempt to extent his period in custody. The parents of 15-year-old Tariq Abu Khdeir, who goes to school in Florida, say their son was beaten by Israeli police during clashes over the killing of 16-year-old Mohammed Abu Khdeir, whom Palestinians say was killed by Israeli extremists in a revenge attack. Police say Tariq Abu Khdeir resisted arrest, attacked officers and was carrying a slingshot for lobbing stones when he was arrested. The

The U.S. will remain the world’s biggest oil producer this year after overtaking Saudi Arabia and Russia as extraction of energy from shale rock spurs the nation’s economic recovery, Bank of America Corp. said. U.S. production of crude oil, along with liquids separated from natural gas, surpassed all other countries this year with daily output exceeding 11 million barrels in the first quarter, the bank said in a report today. The country became the world’s largest natural gas producer in 2010. The International Energy Agency said in June that the U.S. was the biggest producer of oil and natural gas liquids. “The

WASHINGTON — When the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria announced Sunday that it was changing its name and reviving the caliphate, the news lit up the Internet and headlined news reports around the world. But what is a caliphate? And what is the self-described Islamic State hoping to achieve with its declaration? The answers, experts say, have more to do with the Sunni militant group’s rivalry with al Qaida than with any plan to replicate the last caliphate, which was abolished in 1924 after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. Understanding the history of the caliphate and its powerful symbolism is key

The spirit of independence is alive in Murrieta, Calif., where townspeople heard that the federal government was about to send 170 illegal-alien children flooding across the border to their town in Riverside County. Three hundred residents stood in front of the buses, blocking the way. The federales withdrew, rerouting the buses to San Diego. But soon, the federales were on their way back. Allowing a crowd to block a public highway can’t be tolerated, but “the humanitarian crisis” on the border is the work of President Obama. On this Independence Day it’s worth hearing how the American Longrifle helped win the battle for American freedom. If you don’t know this rifle’s starring role in American history you can’t understand America’s link to the gun or why so many firearms manufacturers are moving or expanding away from states that have banned their products. For this history lesson I stopped in to see Phil Schreier, the senior curator for the NRA’s National Firearms Museum, in Fairfax, VA. The headline of today’s jobs report, that 288,000 jobs were created in the last month, is positive. At least, it is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. However, as with most economic reports these days, there is a veneer of good news — but when you look closer, the White House is using the positive headlines to hide the growing deterioration of the American workforce. I’m sure by now people are tired of reading about the bad news, and I’ll admit I am weary of having to blow the whistle and expose the truth every

The main mission of the Air Wing is to assist friendly states in their own fights against illegal drugs and narco-terrorism. However, with its large fleet — larger than the air

A charter plane believed to be carrying immigrants arrived this evening at San Diego’s Lindbergh Field, apparently from Texas. Three Homeland Security buses arrived a few minutes later, trailed by numerous law enforcement vehicles. There is no information as to the buses´ destination. Earlier this week, federal officials said that 140 immigrants who had been detained crossing the border in Texas would arrive Friday. But since the blockade by protesters Tuesday at Murrieta, officials have declined to provide information about the movement of the immigrants.

The Obamas have spent over 44 million dollars in taxpayer money on travel and vacations. Some are even calling him the “most well-trvaeled, expensive” president in our nation’s history. Our president vacations a lot — we’re talking $44,351,777.12 worth of “a lot,” with most expenses charged to the American taxpayer. As of March 2014, Obama has spent more time traveling internationally than any other president, taking 31 trips since assuming office in 2009. The 119 days spent overseas have

President Obama has quietly promised Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren complete support if she runs for president — a stinging rebuke to his nemesis Hillary Clinton, sources tell me. Publicly, Obama has remained noncommittal on the 2016 race, but privately he worries that Clinton would undo and undermine many of his policies. There’s also a personal animosity, especially with Bill Clinton, that dates from their tough race six years ago. A former Harvard law professor and administration aide, Warren would energize the left wing of the Democrat Party just as Obama did against Clinton in 2008.
