Freed soldier Bowe Bergdahl’s girlfriend
Monica Lee has moved on and

IT SOUNDS like the script of TV show Homeland. Bowe Bergdahl is finally free five years after being captured by the Taliban. Unfortunately for him, his girlfriend Monica Lee has found love with another man. Ms Lee’s mum, Allison, called her daughter with the news while she was out hiking with friends. The 25-year-old asked: “What do I do now?” Ms Lee was just 19 when Bergdahl was captured by the Taliban. Her last Skype contact with him was in June 2009 right before he wandered off the base and was taken hostage. However, Bergdahl was still able to get messages to

From what I see on the internet, admittedly not always the most reliable source of information, Monica should move on and not look back.

´What do I do now?´ What????? You don´t ditch your current BF for some deserter/fraternizer. You get as far away from your former squeeze as possible. If you go back to him, you´re as big a nutcase as the rest of those involved.

And she is confused because?

She has been in a new relationship for two years. Bergdahl told her to move on. What is confusing?

What should she do? Stay away from the media and tell her parents to do the same.

Her story with Bergdahl is old and long over.

"wandered off base"? Read Michael Hastings´s 2012 Rolling Stone article about this guy´s history and his remarks leading up to his "wandering" about his being fed up and might just walk off into the mountains of Pakistan. Asked his superior if he could take "sensitive equipment" off base and was warned that that would not be a good idea. So he packed up a little personal stuff and walked off.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Democratic Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes of Kentucky has released her first attack ad, mischaracterizing Sen. Mitch McConnell´s voting record on overhauling Medicare. In the ad, a retired coal miner asks how he and his wife are supposed to afford the extra $6,000 in Medicare costs that McConnell voted for. But the plan McConnell supported in 2011 would not have increased that family´s Medicare costs because it exempted people who are in or near retirement from any changes to the program. It would have privatized Medicare over time, which some analysts said would have eventually increased costs. Shaky claims about

Taya Kyle suggested several times that attorney David B. Olson was misstating the testimony she gave during sworn depositions before the trial. Ventura’s lawsuit claims that he was defamed in “American Sniper” by Kyle’s late husband, Chris, a former Navy SEAL, and that he slandered Ventura by repeating the false account of a bar fight in Coronado, Calif., in radio and TV interviews, undermining Ventura’s reputation. President Barack Obama will head to Texas later this week for Democratic fundraising events in Austin and Dallas, but he will not visit the southern border where unaccompanied minors are streaming across that frontier in record numbers. “Schedules sometimes change and if they do we’ll let you know, but right now there is no plan to visit the border while he’s in Texas,” said White House Press Sec. The Rand Paul–Mike Lee policy partnership has been the most important Republican collaboration in Washington in recent memory. The two Tea Party senators have worked together on civil liberties, opposing the Patriot Act, attempting to rein in the National Security Agency, speaking out against extrajudicial killings of American citizens, protesting warrantless searches, and trying to strip indefinite detention from the National Defense Authorization Act. President Obama may have described the waves of tens of thousands of migrant families flooding the southern border as a "humanitarian crisis," but it is a humanitarian crisis entirely of his own creation and one which he could end tomorrow if he wanted to. The White House on Tuesday formally requested $3.7 billion in emergency funding from Congress to deal with an influx of Central American minors along the southern border. Administration officials said the request is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at building more detention centers, adding immigration judges, and beefing up border patrols and air surveillance. President Obama has said he hopes such steps will both speed deportations and discourage adults from sending children on

Fate hasn´t been kind to Hillary Clinton, at least not in its most recent phase. In 2008, when the plate was set for the national Democrats, she lost the nomination to Barack Obama, of scant years and no gravitas, who soared out of nowhere to wrench destiny from her on the unspecified promise of "change." Now, "change" has come, and people don´t like it. Iraq changed from a safe, stable ally (just ask Obama) to a terrorist haven, one of the reasons why, though no fellow Democrats seem likely to edge her, her chances of winning the White House seem dim.
