Mitt Romney: Not Healthy Congress
Hasn´t Passed Amnesty

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Tony Lee

Original Article

Posted By:mikkins2, 6/1/2014 6:15:23 AM

On Friday, failed 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney said it wasn´t healthy that Congress has not passed amnesty legislation that the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of American workers. "I do believe it´s important for us, before the presidential contest in 2016, to finally have immigration reform in place," Romney said, according to The Des Moines Register´s Jennifer Jacobs. "I just don´t think it´s healthy for the country to continue to have this issue open and unresolved, particularly with so many families that are waiting for the answers." Romney said he was not for a "special"

Comments:
The only people who have a frantic desire and need for "immigration reform" are Mitt Romney, Establishment Republicans, the Chamber of Commerce, and other Big Biz lobbyists trying to avoid holding up their end of the bargain in a free market system. Demand the border be secured and the current laws to be enforced first before you start your Chicken Little imitation.

This is how Al Gore started before he went all out pinhead about Global Change Climate Warming. Look where he ended up.

Read his words. "Amnesty" is Tony Lee´s word, not Mitt Romney, who spoke of "immigration reform".

Nice try, OP.

Wow, my eyes must be failing me. I do not see the word "amnesty" in my comment. I do see ""immigration reform"" in my comment. Exactly as Mitt Romney was quoted as saying.

Some should consider hiring a editor to proof read their comment before posting for clarity and prevention of becoming daily entertainment.

Nice try indeed!

From the article that this Lee is supposedly using as his source; (See link to Iowas paper)

Romney thinks people who have come to the United States illegally "should not be given a special pathway to citizenship or permanent residency." But, he said with a laugh: "I didn´t get elected, so I´m not sure my view is the one that will carry the day."

We have been lectured here for a very long time by the cheerleaders that any GOP candidate is better than any Dem candidate, and that we should always vote for the GOP.

Then a former candidate comes along and reveals their true beliefs, totally destroying the notion that there is a whit of difference between the parties.

On every major issue, the leadership of both parties are in agreement.

amnesty
spending
Obamacare
NSA surveillance of citizens
crony capitalism

They appear to squabble over the details, but in the end, the country loses.

During the run up to the election Romney and other know nothing Republicans were talking "self deportation" on the part of Hispanics, a tact that helped turn the Hispanic voting population consisting of US citizens against the Republicans, while the proper tact to take was announcing that the Republicans would enforce the immigration laws firmly and fairly without singling out any particular population group.

As usual from what is going on now it is clear to anyone who is paying attention that establishment Republican interest in solving the illegal alien situation is limited to injecting as much cheap foreign labor into the legal US labor market as possible, both by way of amnesty and much increased immigration on into the future. Such a policy is bound to hurt American workers by depressing wages in any industry where such a massive flood cheap labor could then legally be hired. When most legalized aliens eventually become Democrat voter it will probably dawn on the Republicans that they have committed long-term political suicide.

In 1776 Americans declared themselves independent of more than arbitrary rule by a distant monarch. They also severed the ties of aristocracy. This was in itself a revolutionary notion. It meant that political power, its attendant privilege and economic advantages would no longer be transferred by the blood. Earldoms, dukedoms, and kingdoms were banished from the territory and from the future of the American people. The citizen became the self-identifying unit of self-rule. The generation of English colonists who gathered together in the summer of 1776 to declare their independence from the English crown knew that they had exhausted all other remedies.

With Dave Brat defeating House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Chris McDaniel receiving the plurality of the votes in the primary for Senate in Mississippi earlier this month it appeared to be reversed. Publicly, Obama has remained noncommittal on the 2016 race, but privately he worries that Clinton would undo and undermine many of his policies. There’s also a personal animosity, especially with Bill Clinton, that dates from their tough race six years ago. A former Harvard law professor and administration aide, Warren would energize the left wing of the Democrat Party just as Obama did against Clinton in 2008.
