Analysis: Libya closer to full civil war
Jerusalem Post [Israel], by Ariel Ben Solomon

Libya seems to be heading towards a major civil war, waiting for its next strong man to put a lid on the chaos and control the various parties. The Libyan government is unable to control its territory. The situation in the country has deteriorated so much that the US suspended training by US special forces after a local militia stole a cache of American-provided weapons. According to a report published in the British newspaper, The Times, on Friday, quoting Olivier Guitta, the director of the London-based Henry Jackson Society think-tank, French, American and Algerian special forces are on their way to southern Libya to attack al-Qaida in

Comments:
Well, I´m not sure if the "interview" with Chris Wallace & PIAPS is already taped, but this analysis would be something to question her on. Wasn´t Libya the much vaunted beginning of a "Arab Spring" when Hillary watch as SOS? BTW, no mention of "what" the stolen weapons were and why they were there at this time.

The Obama administration announced today that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who has been held by the Taliban for several years, has been freed from his captors. Reading the stories of his newfound freedom it is impossible not to feel joy for Bergdahl and his family. NBC News reports that Bergdahl held up a sign once he was on board an American helicopter that read, “SF?” The operators quickly confirmed that they were in fact U.S. Special Forces: “Yes, we’ve been looking for you for a long time.” “On behalf of the American people, I was honored to call his parents to express our joy that they can expect his safe return, mindful of their courage

On May 31, a scandal-ridden Barack Obama announced the Taliban had released Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl after five years of captivity. His release follows negotiations in which the Obama administration agreed to trade five prisoners from Guantanamo Bay for Bergdahl. Author Brad Thor tweeted a number of responses to this act of negotiating with terrorists, including his assessment that Americans are now vulnerable because terrorists see they can get what they want from the Obama administration. Thor tweeted: "While I am happy for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl and his family, with this prisoner swap, it is now open season on every

A Senior U.S. defense official confirmed the identities of the five Taliban commanders Saturday, the Daily Best reported. Black Beach Week used to get all the glory: Every Memorial Day weekend, 300,000 black people gathered in Miami Beach to get their freak on. And also create a tsunami of violence, robbery, shootings, carjackings, vandalism, mayhem, noise and trash. But this year, many party-goers complained that Black Beach Week -- only reporters call it “Urban Beach Week” -- just wasn’t as much fun any more: Too many cops, tactical vehicles, helicopters, lights, towers, cameras, suspicion. Not enough chaos. Not to worry: The rest of the country picked up the slack. Black mob violence over the holiday weekend was reported in more

Maya Angelou, an author more revered than read, passed away at 86 on Wednesday. She is survived by her seven autobiographies. In addition to Angelou playing Boswell to Angelou’s Johnson, Angelou acted, wrote poetry, danced, and sang. Was she an actress, poet, dancer, or singer? People liked her politics, and, out of ideological solidarity, reflexively praised her talents in multitudinous endeavors. At her most irresponsible, she embraced Fidel Castro, Malcolm X, and Bill Clinton—a mistake for a lady of any age. DENVER— Colorado´s Civil Rights Commission on Friday ordered a baker to make wedding cakes for same-sex couples, finding his religious objections to the practice did not trump the state´s anti-discrimination statutes. The unanimous ruling from the seven-member commission upheld an administrative law judge´s finding in December that Jack Phillips violated civil rights law when he refused to make a wedding cake for a gay couple in 2012. The couple sued. "I can believe anything I want, but if I´m going to do business here, I´d ought to not discriminate against people," Commissioner Raju Jaram said. Hillary Clinton offers a detailed account of the deadly attack on the American embassy in Benghazi — and a pointed rebuttal to Republican critics who’ve laced into her over the incident — in a much-anticipated chapter of her forthcoming book, “Hard Choices,” obtained by POLITICO. “Those who exploit this tragedy over and over as a political tool minimize the sacrifice of those who served our country,” Clinton writes in the gripping chapter, “Benghazi: Under Attack.” Casting doubt on the motivations of congressional Republicans who have continued to investigate the attacks, including with an upcoming House select committee, Clinton continues: “I

Day 1,956 of his presidency was not too kind to President Obama. Having to announce within a four-hour span that he had lost both an embattled Cabinet secretary and his chief spokesman, Obama looked Friday like a man gamely trying to get a stalled administration back on track. He entered the week still stuck with low approval ratings and facing fierce criticism of his policies both at home and abroad. On Wednesday, he tried to chart a new course internationally with a West Point speech setting out a new foreign policy. On Thursday, he dealt with widespread criticism of the speech.

President Obama will call on all American adults Friday to make a long-term commitment to mentoring black and Hispanic boys as part of his initiative to help young men of color succeed in school. Aides said Mr. Obama will review with his Cabinet Friday a report from a White House task force on his program called “My Brother’s Keeper,” which he launched in February. “It is important that all children have caring adults who are engaged in their lives,” the report states. “But too many young people lack this support. For example, roughly two-thirds of black and one-third of Hispanic children live

WASHINGTON — Feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders, a weary President Obama says his fondest dream is getting a chance to take a stroll by himself away from the White House. Obama — who rides in motorcades, jets on Air Force One and is under constant guard — says he’d take a solo hike across the National Mall, if only the Secret Service would give him the chance. “I would go take a walk,” the president said Friday on “Live with Kelly and Michael” when asked the one thing he’d like to do if only he could. “I would just

Michelle Obama won’t rest until we are all scrounging for berries and chomping leafy vegetation in the forest. Or until she and her fellow progressives regulate the entire food industry Soviet-style. Four years and $12 billion later, her campaign to replace French fries and pizza with green pepper strips and Mexican turnip roots in school cafeterias has tanked. Kids in Kentucky said the food tasted like "vomit." Students in California were selling chips and candy bars on the black market. Excerpts of Hillary Clinton´s forthcoming memoir obtained by Politico conflict with the factual record about what happened during and after the 2012 Benghazi terror attack. Rep. Mike Pompeo, R-Kan., who sits on the newly formed Benghazi select committee and the House Intelligence Committee, told Fox News before the excerpts were released that he is concerned the administration has not fully grasped the impact of the terrorist assault. Distinguished former CIA officer and author Robert Baer said on the BBC’s “Today” radio program Thursday morning that ex-NSA contractor Edward Snowden has been in contact with the Russian government for the last seven years. “My suspicion is that the Russians were probably in touch with him in Geneva,” Baer said, speculating they first made contact in 2007 while Snowden was stationed in Switzerland with CIA. “I can’t prove it. But this was such a brilliant operation. And his landing in Moscow just makes old Cold War warriors like me very suspicious.” Baer also dismissed Snowden’s assertion on his first U.S. television

Is the end near? Scientists at Duke University say the world is on the brink of its sixth great extinction, since certain species of plants and animals are now dying out at least 1,000 times faster than they did before humans came into existence. The study, published Thursday in the journal Science, measured the the rate at which species are disappearing from Earth. In 1995, the researchers found that the pre-human rate of extinctions was roughly 1. Now, that rate is about 100 to 1,000. Stuart Pimm, the study's lead author, said habitat loss is mostly to blame for the increasing death rates. As humans continue to alter and destroy more land,
