Charlize Theron compares press
intrusion to rape

CBS News, by Jessica Derschowitz

Charlize Theron has compared press intrusion into her private life as being like rape. The Oscar-winning actress, who is promoting her new film "A Million Ways to Die in the West," made the comment during an interview with Britain´s Sky News. "I don´t [Google myself]," she said. "That´s my saving grace. I think it´s when you start living in that world and doing that, you start feeling raped." When asked if she feels that strongly about it, Theron responded, "Well, you know when it comes to your son and your private life. Maybe that´s just me. Some people might relish

Comments:
These bimbo actresses are beginning to show 1. how dumb they really are and 2. just how they think of their fans. I hope some poor woman who has really been raped posts a letter to her somewhere that goes viral like the letter from the soldier to Paltrow did. As Truman once said, "If you can´t stand the heat get out of the kitchen."

Obviously she has never been raped.

But give it time. She´s dating Sean Penn.

I would suggest she heads to Haiti with the Red Diaper Baby and they try and sleuth out what happened to the millions of dollars in aid that the Clinton Global group was handling..nothings changed much there.and the money is.....unaccounted for??

It´s truly odd. Celebrities do whatever is necessary to get noticed and get rich. Then when it happens, they get all crotchety because someone notices them or their families. If they don´t like the publicity, disappear from the bright lights and live in seclusion. Problem solved.

Well, Cameron Diaz did say (in 2004) that if Bush was re-elected, rape would be legal. So she has a point, I guess.

I dont know. It seems pretty crummy to have sleazy photographers following you day and night, going through your trash, taking pictures every time you go to a club, or a beach, or just walk the dog. They even take pictures up the stars dresses when they get out of cars.
No matter where they are, there is likely a long lens looking at them or a waiter or clerk who has been bribed to pass on what he hears.
Maybe an NSA employee´s fantasy world, but a horrible way to make someone live.

I agree with number 6, however she has chosen to live her life and work in the most degraded place in the world. If she thinks she´s been raped, get drunk, enroll at Duke and file a complaint.

Should say thanks to Mz. Theron and other Hollywood beauties - they give the paparazzi a job and they don´t bother the rest of us.

Twice in my life, I have seen Bob Hope walking through Chicago O´Hare airport, carrying his own bag and attracting no one. The first time, I thought I was dreaming until I heard him paged. The second time, I knew it was just him, traveling humbly and without attention. It can be done. There are several stars who fade into their private lives when they are not filming. Shut up, Charlize.

They´re all alike.
All Follywood wants to be (in)famous until they are and then they complain about paparazzi and the public.
They then want to tell us how to run our lives and the gov´t. While they can´t manage their own lives.
No sympathy.

#13 yes, Bob Hope used to sit in his front yard in old Palm Springs.and you could go up and talk to him..he really did not live much in that huge modernistic house up on the mountain.that was mostly for parties and events..of course, today maybe that would not have worked out well.there were police nearby but you never saw them..but there were cameras in every palm tree it seemed..and that was a long time ago.

#13, yes, it can be done. Many years ago, when he was quite famous (in the 60s or so), the New York papers had a picture of Bing Crosby riding the subway to Aqueduct race track. Someone had noticed him standing alone, dressed nattily, riding the A train.

If you decide to become an actress, and you are fortunate enough to make it as a major star, the intrusive press is part of the package of that success. It comes with the money and fame. If you don´t know that that is going to happen, you are too stupid to be breathing.

There is NO situation where a woman should have to expect to be raped.

But if a woman is stupid enough to date one of the most vile men in the world in Sean Penn, you can´t expect her to be smart enough to breath.

So never mind...

All the time I was growing up in Atlanta, the face of Robert E. Lee was taking shape on the side of an enormous granite mountain just outside town. He loomed like a god above us, as much a presence as any deity, and God knows he was accepted as such. It was only much later that I began to question his sanctity, and then to hate what he stood for. When I was in elementary school, the face of Lee on Stone Mountain was a rough-cut thing, weathering and wasting as the generation that began it in 1912—a generation

A commencement speaker on Sunday blasted college students as "immature" and "arrogant" for protesting another speaker who then decided to withdraw. William Bowen, former president of Princeton University, used his commencement speech at Haverford College outside Philadelphia to criticize students who campaigned against Robert Birgeneau, former chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley. Birgeneau is among several commencement speakers who canceled their appearances this spring amid student protests. More than 40 students and three professors had protested Birgeneau´s invitation to speak, objecting to his handling of a 2011 incident at Berkeley in which police used force at a student protest during

If you believe honesty is the best policy, you would have a hard time convincing the forked-tailed drongo. This tricky African bird is the pathological liar of the animal kingdom. Scientists described on Thursday how this medium-sized bird brazenly deceives other animals by mimicking alarm calls made by numerous bird species - and even meerkats - to warn of an approaching predator in a ruse to frighten them off and steal food they leave behind. The researchers tracked 64 forked-tailed drongos over a span of nearly 850 hours in the Kalahari Desert in South Africa close to the Botswana border

On April 1, the U.S. economy dropped a whopping 2.9 percent for the first three months of the year (no fooling). The American workforce participation rate fell to a 40-year low. One-third of people aged 18-29 have moved back in with their parents. Millions of Americans this summer will enjoy yet another “staycation”: They just can’t afford to go to the beach or the mountains, even for a week — again. (Snip) Forget that the United States is deep into what Mr. Obama dramatically declares a “humanitarian crisis,” that the Middle East is a powder keg about to blow, that Iraq has all but fallen to Islamist terrorists. A Fox News exclusive reported this morning by Jana Winter inexplicably buried the lede. Winter reports that several dead children have been discovered “washed up along the riverbank” of the Rio Grande, but fails to note that there have been no reports by the Obama administration on this. This indicates a pattern of covering up dead illegal alien kids by the Obama administration. It was two weeks before news was reported on the sole child death acknowledged by the Obama administration, Gilberto Ramos, a 15 year-old boy from Guatemala whose body was found in the Texas brush dead from the

“Trust” is for Con Men: The reaction to the border chaos in Texas has accomplished one thing: It has exploded the lie at the heart of current “comprehensive” immigration reform plans. The basic structure of those plans is a swap of a) near-immediate legalization for b) increased border security in the future. The lie is the assumption that, once current illegals get their legalization, pro-immigrant activists in both parties will continue to support the second half of the bargain, the increased security.
