Top Times editor Baquet admits

New York Post, by Keith Kelley

New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet used to get so furious at his higher-ups — Jill Abramson among them — that he punched holes in the newsroom walls. “It’s true,” he said in his first major interview since he replaced Abramson in the top job. “I should have a lawyer present with me for this, shouldn’t I?” When asked about maps that were strategically placed to hide the damage in the Washington bureau, Baquet admitted to NPR’s David Folkenflik that he has a “temper.” “In each case, I was mad at somebody above me in rank,” he said in the interview made

Nice to see such maturity on the New York Times editorial staff, apparently run by petulant children like Baquet.

The story was that Baquet went to Pinch and told him he was leaving because he saw the writing on the wall and was going to be passed over. Abramson planned on hiring a managing editor for the digital Times, which would probably lead to the executive editor position in a few years.

Pinch had a choice: the minority or the woman? He chose the minority.

Surprise, surprise!!!

Baquet is the son of well-known New Orleans restaurateur Edward Baquet, and a member of a prominent New Orleans Creole family.[3][4]

Baquet graduated from St. Augustine High School in 1974.[5] He then studied English at Columbia University from 1974 to 1978, but dropped out to pursue journalism.[6]

An Affirmative Action baby will trump a female any time - even if he´s a college dropout who apparently never graduated.

And AAs are allowed to have tempers and punch holes in walls (a shrink once told me that that was the first sign of someone who would assault another person, as in wife) becuase their people schtruggled so much.

Son of wealthy Creole family. Some schtruggle.

This is what happens hire people to fit some PC agenda. There are competent women out there; there are competent minorities out there. If you insist on hiring for diversity´s sake, at least make sure they´re qualified. Unfortunately at the Times, qualifications are based on political ideologies rather than ability.

President Obama betrayed the highest obligation of his office — safeguarding national security — in trading five hard-core Taliban for the American serviceman who appears to have deserted in Afghanistan. The five sworn enemies of the United States are now in the Gulf state of Qatar, where they are free to come and go as they like, beyond the watch of American agents. In just one year, they will be free to return to Afghanistan to fight there and stage terror attacks far beyond that country’s borders.

The program is a component of Mrs. Obama’s Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The new government regulations require snack items served in public schools to have less than two hundred calories. That includes vending machines, lunch rooms and other campus food venues. And that’s really bad news for kids at South Carolina’s Socastee High School.
